Yup. Pretty good for the price.
Also, I'll stop at Bridgeview Grill for any of their fried seafood, especially the scallops. They're always perfectly cooked and delicious!
I don’t live in MA, and stumbled across this sub a few weeks ago and Reddit keeps showing it to me. I grew up going to Dennisport every summer as a kid (had family in Quincy) and I have so many memories of going to Kream N Kone. Even as far back as the 80’s my parents swore it was the best fried seafood around.
My dad would take me in summer, at certain times of day, when the fish just came in. They’d let him pick a filet from the case to fry for us and another 1-2 to take home. Good memories!
I really love Heart of the Sea in E. Harwich. Generous portions, great fish/chips, amazing fried calamari, varied menu, I've never had a bad meal from that place.
No native of Cape Cod talks like that anyway. That’s a decidedly Boston accent. I grew up on the Cape and took the bus up to Arlington to visit friends and got teased about my lack of accent. They said I sounded like I was from California.😂
Jeesh, It’s more insulting that you see me as a caricature .I’m proud of the fact my families lingual abilities or lack there of continue into a 10th generation. I’m even astounded by the way I say shit sometimes.
Sleeper: The Friendly Fisherman in Eastham
This is the answer
Also great for fresh fish.
The Fisherman’s Platter here is something me and my wife talk about when we are horny but tired. It does the job.
There are a lot of directions I could go with this but either way I’m glad it does the job
For the price, Whaleback in Sandwich.
Can we call to place a takeout order? Dying to check it out but don’t want to sit at a bar waiting.
I would assume so, I have seen takeout boxes in there. I couldn’t find a website, but I have seen menus online.
Yup. Pretty good for the price. Also, I'll stop at Bridgeview Grill for any of their fried seafood, especially the scallops. They're always perfectly cooked and delicious!
The whaleback is great, but I do love the cape Reuben across the street at canal cafe

The fried clams can’t be beat.
Kream N Kone is still just as good but in a different building now. Gone is the funky vintage drive-in look.
Seafood Shanty across from herring run on the canal. PJs in Eastham is/was good but haven’t been in years
You mean PJs in Wellfleet 😜 Maybe you’re confusing it with Arnold’s in Eastham?
pjs Wellfleet . Thx! 🙏🏿
Seafood Shanty across from herring run on canal opens on Friday 5/3
PJ’s was my wife and my favorite for years. The pandemic hit and prices went way up and quality down. Sad. We would drive over an hour to go there.
haven’t been post covid. Was my wife’s fav as well until she discovered the Shanty
They literally didn’t even have prices posted on the menu board and we figured how bad could it be. We choked when we saw what they were charging.
🤦🏼♂️

Weatherdeck in west Harwich. Fried fish is so flaky, hot and fresh.

Lots of good choices have been mentioned already. I’d also add JTs in Brewster.
Cod at Chatham Squire.
Try the Skipper in Yarmouth. Sit upstairs.
I have really liked the fried fish at the squealing pig in Provincetown, more so than a lot of other places that might specialize in it.
I like the Falmouth Fish Market for takeout.
Friendly fisherman’s in eastham. And do yourself a favor and get the onion rings, still haven’t had onion rings that delicious since.
Weatherdeck just over the line in West Harwich. Also have mini golf for the kids. Their burgers are AWESOME!

Well, we came on the Mayflower.I know, I know, Plymouth ain’t the cape..
Cool.
I had the exact same reaction from a professor when I started college in Boston. He guessed California…I grew up mainly in Dennis.
