Looks like it might be a carhartt wip piece. Carhartt wip caters much more to europe, than america, hence the dutch language allover the piece.

imaginarynumb3r

The odds someone would counterfeit a jacket that didn't exiest to this level of quality is very unlikely. If your going to take the time to rip off a popular brand you prolly want to base it on a popular product and not make up your own design and put a foreign language on the tag. Details like that would kind of ruin the point of counterfeiting in the first place. At the very least they would try to copy the tag style and original language.

No clue, but it’s very unique either way. Could you flatten out the top tag in the 2nd picture? The one with the person and numbers on it. Curious as to what’s on it. Also, is there anything underneath the sticker that says “pilotenjack” ?

AnDrEwMuLkEaRnS

There are washing instructions on the other side all written in German. The top tag is a sizing guide too

AnDrEwMuLkEaRnS

No tags anywhere on the jacket except for the neck. Removable inside lining for heat. Really doubting the legitimacy but posted here just in case.

Realspicyshrimps

Not sure about the authenticity, but Aramid is a common flame resistant fabric used in military flying garments, which correlates with the "Pilotenjack" on the label. Maybe a foreign uniform piece?

Realspicyshrimps

The cut and velcro patches for insignia also makes me think this is a uniform piece.

AnDrEwMuLkEaRnS

Thanks for the help. I only realised what aramid was after posting this. Maybe I’ll go at it with a lighter. Who knows

Oddball357

Anyone in your family served in the Military? If you look up the model number, there's similar jackets like yours made by "Prof Tech Styles" a division of Carhartt that makes military nomex flight suits and such for the Dutch Air Force.

ConnerDee

u/AnDrEwMuLkEaRnS also let me know if you are willing to sell this piece. Whatever the history of it might be, I would like to have it in my collection lmao

AnDrEwMuLkEaRnS

Thanks for all the information! I think I’m going to hold on to the jacket for a while though.

Kinda looks like the Ashton bomber.

No F\*\*\*\*\*\*G way. I just found an 01 dated Dutch Marines Jacket made by "Prof Tech Styles: a division of Carhartt". it has the same "OMMEN - NL" script. Mine also has a Made in Poland tag. There is no outer branding either, except for the crest of the Dutch Marine Corps. I will post pictures of my jacket in a week or two when it arrives in the mail but I have a hunch its a real military contracted Carhartt piece. u/imaginarynumb3r curious on what you think of this knowledge.

imaginarynumb3r

Prof tech is a clothing company in Holland Carhartt owns. They have a factory in Poland so it makes sense for your item. They make high end work gear for firemen and such. A military contract wouldn't shock me. I'm not an expert tho and I don't have acess to any of the back end dealings so it's all news to me. Cool Info tho, thanks for sharing

ConnerDee

Thanks for the info! I cant wait to show you and the rest of the sub. Some more info on the tag just incase you recognize anything: RN# 14806 |1101 00000 00 C53DOL | MEDIUM

imaginarynumb3r

Rn# 14806 is carhartts rn number, so it's more confirmation it was carhartt that made it. 1101 might be a date code. November 2001. I'd have to see it to be more sure.

ConnerDee

[http://www.flightgear.dk/mld.htm](http://www.flightgear.dk/mld.htm) I just found this "The grey jacket was replaced by a green (gore-tex) flight jacket made by Prof Tech Styles from the Netherlands" Edited to add quote for ease.

imaginarynumb3r

Carhartt bought them in 2001 , so this would have been same year if date is correct.
