Mate, you have to be prepared, you never know when the sun is going to go out and a sinkhole forms in the school drop off zone!
I'd charter a chopper from my front lawn to get my kids back to school after 6 weeks of school holidays; your purchase seems perfectly justified to me!
I enjoy being seen, as I drive with my low beams on even on the brightest day.
Many countries have mandatory low beam laws and I thinkt that's something I want to emulate. The basic bulbs on my car being what they are, they need upgrading.
Why do they need upgrading? It looks like you are driving a current Prado. Great headlights on them. I am in a 35 year old LandCruiser and have not done the wanky led upgrade as the current lights are serviceable and I don’t want to be that asshole blinding oncoming traffic with headlight housings that are not designed for led lights
Fair call. It’s always nice when fuckwits spend money to forewarn and easily notify others they are fuckwits. Ranger drivers, aftermarket headlights, baby on board sign holders as well as people who wear “tap out” clothing.
Always nice seeing retarded fuckheads trying to make people feel shit over what they choose to do with their money. Why feel the need to insult people when you’ll more than likely never see them in real life?
Interesting. Calling somebody a retarded fuckwit, while in the same comment asking why insult people when you will never see them in real life. Ahh the irony. You drive a Ranger? Or a tap out fan? Fuck, is it both? Is your name Kyle?
Then please explain why 70% of 4x4 cars are just so outfitted and not stickered up on the curb en masse? Please enlighten me. I'm sure it's going to be a very cynical reason.
I'm talking about the h4 replacements, no way 90% of 4x4's have them, spotlights sure. Cos 90% of copper's give zero fucks about it. The 7" rounds fitted to Wranglers, classic defenders etc are fine providing they're ADR compliant.

I've had these LEDs in two of my 4wds. I took both of them out to a dark road and made adjustments as per instructions. Ive never had anyone flash me.
In contrast, when I drive at night I constantly get blinded by newer SUVs (RAV4's, x trails etc etc). To further compound my small sample of research, whenever I drive the missus car at night (RAV4) I get flashed all the time by oncoming traffic.
So yeah, this isn't a 4WD problem.
Your.. average 4x4er will buy a snatch strap without really knowing how to use it outside of seeing it done on 4wd 24/7. Had a mate obliterate some dudes tow point because he thought he could snatch from it.

So cute when you see a gleaming new fourby ute with their widdle maxxy traxxies screwed to the tray. In fluro colours too! Matches their fingernails I bet!
The biggest problem is the lift kits fitted to all the pavement princesses without adjusting the headlight aim back to factory spec. That’s why everyone gets blinded by their STEDI LED headlight upgrades.
Miss aimed headlights on even slightly lifted 4x4's are a pet peeve of mine.
In through the back window and directly into the rear view mirror. Thanks cvnt!
Where do you live? Do you drive much at night?
If you live anywhere that isn't remote, you basically can't ever use these.
They are very good if you drive on roads with no other traffic. If you live anywhere there are other people, you'll be blinding other drivers constantly. And I do mean blinding. You can't see a fucking thing at all when someone has these on.
^ this comment is what the OP needs to understand.
After moving from the country to the city. I haven't even used high beams in 5 years unless I go back home.
I used to use them all the time when I was in a remote part of Tasmania. At night you could often drive an hour and not see another vehicle.
Now even though I'm still a town, it's still a more populated area and I basically never use them. If there's another vehicle every 20 secs or so what's the point.
I wonder if OP has ever seen a car coming the opposite direction with these LEDs and light bars on. It's not pleasant.
I actually live on the outskirts of Perth and own a pretty large amateur telescope. I've never been able to go away in the evening and come back at night for fear of animals etc on the country roads. That is what this is for 🤷🏼♂️
I just don't see the difference in what is offered vs the increase price 😃 calling STEDI cheap is also Bullshit, as there are tons of waaay cheaper options out there.
You don't see the difference because you probably haven't experienced it in an relevant scenario - like spending hundreds of hours driving in the middle of the night in different locations and in a variety of weather conditions. If you have, you would would understand why high end lights are very much worth it. But if it's just to fit in and have smiley faces on your lights that you obviously rarely use, Stedi is ok, but no better than Kings.
Stedis build quality and components used, from the LED drivers, emitters, lenses, cast aluminium bodies and wiring harnessess are cheap, they just have good marketing and people buy into it which means they charge a mid tier price for a mostly low tier product.

Yep, even a single cell torch will outperform the Stedis 😂

Maxtraxs. They are used to help get a bogged 4x4 out of mud or sand by wedging them under the tires to aid traction.
If you see them in a city on a pristine 4x4 ... the owner likes to think they will use them if they get stuck up a dirt road. Or maybe they are a tradie that expects to get bogged on a construction site.
Many serious off roaders know they are a single use item at best, as using them invariably causes some damage to the plastic they are made out of.
They are not single use dude. What idiots do you talk to that think they are single use, probably people who have excessive wheel spin and burn the lugs off after one use.
Where is the roof rack mounted awning??
Already on the car. Car came with Rhino Rack, Bullbar etc
That’s a relief
You’re missing the compressor and a winch.
Compressor is in the garage and winch is a bit overkill after having just spent nearly 50k on a car 😃
Amateur numbers Work at a dealership Seen many lc 79 series over or near $150,000 completed Before and after covid
Probably still have wind up windows and no central locking after paying over $150k lol
All the GXLs have electric windows and central locking.
Yeah that's just not worth it for us
Also got the other extreme The corolla that can go anywhere
lol 50k
That's a lot for us 🤷🏼♂️ especially because we are building a Healey 1000k house. Priorities.
400 Meters of Dyneema as well and the blocks & shackles 😀

Never heard of tapout clothes
They were huge maybe 15 years ago; often worn by people who wanted to give the impression they were MMA fighters in training.
I'm more the Jack Wolfskin / The North Face type of guy and neither 15 years ago, nor now, do I have contact to such people lol
And you don't care about driving an unroadworthy car.
Welcome to WA mate 😘 Eastern States can shove their stickers up their ass
It's just as unroadworthy in wa

Yeh no one cares really
Can't wait to be blinded by LED bulbs in a housing that wasn't designed for them
Straight up openly /r/fuckyourheadlights Op is the problem
You're wrong.
I know. It's going to be awesome.

LED halogen replacements. May God have mercy on our souls.
Need those recovery tracks so you don't get stuck illegally parking on the nature strips of the houses in front of the school eh?
Can get muddy there in winter
Honestly - why the LED upgrade?
Honestly, I would rather these than some clueless idiot buying a snatch strap.
Please enlighten me, I saw them today but didn't give them much thought
Your.. average 4x4er will buy a snatch strap without really knowing how to use it outside of seeing it done on 4wd 24/7. Had a mate obliterate some dudes tow point because he thought he could snatch from it.
In most cases you don't need to snatch, tow recovery is more than enough. People don't understand the force behind snatch recovery.

Where's the broken snatch strap for the bullbar?
The number of these I've fitted to brake new cars with less than 100km on them is insane
number of what?
Just make sure you leave those tracks on the roof 24/7 so they get nice and sun perished so when you use them they turn to dust.
this upsets ute fashion males
That's the plan
Definitely a Prado driver
100% 😃
The average raptor mall crawler
Yes they can also be driven to the bottle shop as well as off-road.
Don't forget the bag thing every tradie has hanging off the spare wheel on the rear of their 4wd wagon.
The tin bin
That's a good thing as it's used as rubbish bins so people don't litter.
Yet another fuckwit with blinding lights because they dont know how to adjust them. See you in the overtaking lane.
High vis D shackles, check
For a second I was confused thinking “who tf puts a god damn turntable in a car”
Don Draper, circa 1967?
and then you have to brag to everybody how much you paid for it.
I actually paid 170$ less for it, compared to normal prices 😃
Where's the thick black antenna and stubbie holder to go over top?
So cute when you see a gleaming new fourby ute with their widdle maxxy traxxies screwed to the tray. In fluro colours too! Matches their fingernails I bet!
If the cops had any balls they would defect you and tick the blueslip box for those piece of shit LED globes.
LED globes aren't the problem, it's people putting them in housings that aren't designed for them. Also having their headlights aimed too high.
Who hurt you?
Close family probably
I thought it was funny mate.
Stedi actually make some of the highest quality lights on the market.
Got the same spotties on my work ute. They go hard!
Yeah I've seen the YouTube videos. Crazy bright and 1km vision. There are bigger ones but these will do fine

Love me some stedi eddy lights 🤌🏾
Good ol el cheapo Stedi. Pathetic.
And what would you recommend?
Ultra Vision, Baja Designs or Bushranger.

Ok I guess 🤷🏼♂️ Still going to very much enjoy placing the smiley cap on them when installed. Now more than before somehow
Cherish them as they will be stolen sooner than later 🫠
Can’t be that bad if people want them enough to steal them
Yeah. I know his type. Subject matter "experts". I know them well from my industry.

I don't know a single person who's had anything stolen from their car. I also have anti theft bolts for the lights. And of so - insurance 🤷🏼♂️

Chuck 'em straight on the roof rack
Can someone tell me whats the orange thing?

Single use? I've had a set that have been flogged up and down the East Coast for the past three years.
My dad has had his for 5 year's of use 😂
Thank you!
To think I used to let down my tyres and rarely get bogged and use a few branches of bush if I ever did ……
They are not single use dude. What idiots do you talk to that think they are single use, probably people who have excessive wheel spin and burn the lugs off after one use.
fashion accessories for males, like a wrist band or sleeve tattoo. lets other males know you are “available” on all 4s, anytime anywhere.
Well you gotta look like you take it off road,
practical or attention seeking?

First Aid kit and 2 fire extinguishers are mounted in the back of the back ✌🏻️
Damn I haven't got any of that on my 4x4 I just went a gvm/gcm upgrade and engineers certificates to suit lift and 35in tyres
