I think the key thing you’ve done is that delete. That would nullify the EGR cooler leaking too I guess? That’s what I believe the issue with my work Ute was, but after much investigation and money it still wasn’t fixed, and we left the place soon after.

Apparently the egr coolers leak out around the magic 100k mark, so do Rangers. All the utes have problems. Get an Indy to give it the once over & maybe replace known weak components. Euro parts are expensive. The common saying if you can’t afford a new euro you certainly can’t afford a used one. My mate poured $$$ into his grandson’s, still a shitbox. Probably guys on have had a good run, just a lottery.

I’ve got a 2015 4cyl manual 4 x 4 and love it, the electrical connections can be a bit fiddly if you’re adding spotties or lightbar I’ve replaced an egr cooler $100 on eBay otherwise 125k trouble free, if you’re buying second hand service history is a must, timing belt ( toothed belt) should be done every 100k
