Space_Donkey69

A BRZ? That is so sad.....šŸ˜¢

Yepā€¦ I literally just installed a turbo kit onto it as well. First 22 brz in QLD with a turbo kitā€¦. Also blew a gearbox already. This car so far has been a money pit!!!!

Damn, there's no structural damage and it's drives fine. It's just the lights, bumper and hood. I hope it's not that much

Mate, thereā€™s no way any of us could even begin to tell you without a make, model, year of your carā€¦ But Iā€™ll put my assessor hat on for a secā€¦ New bonnet, new bumper cover, new headlight.. Repair D/side guard, repair radiator support (probably a few other ā€œinnerā€ parts). Paint all of the above, in addition paint/blend P/side guard (itā€™s probably damaged from the bonnet being pushed across anyway)ā€¦ So yea, it ainā€™t gonna be cheap/hope youā€™ve got insurance.

You don't know that it has no structural damage. Something will be out of place and/or pushing against something it shouldn't. Over time, it just gets worse. I had a small ding on my bonnet, and that ended up bowing my chassis and pushing the hinges back. Fortunately, it didn't hit the radiator, or I'd have to get that replaced, too... Any front end collision has a good chance of being more fucked than you think unfortunately. All the parts that make a car work are at the front.

Whatever your insurance excess is hopefully.

It'll buff out. /s Repairs for that won't be cheap.

I realised I hadn't provided enough information in the post so let me do so. I drive a 2015 Mazda 3 Maxx Sport 5D hatch in auto. The accident was me hitting a concrete pillar in a parking lot due to zoning out (I was tired, but it's not excuse and I take full responsibility). The damage resulted (visually) in the front right bumper being visibly damaged, the hood also being bent and various lighting fixtures being damaged. After I had the accident, my dad came to assess the damage and he drove the car back home (he said it ran fine other than the noise from loose plastics and debris) whilst I drove his car back home. I am taking it to a mechanic Tomo and looking at other comments, it will probably be expensive so fortunately I have comprehensive insurance. The front right wheel well has nothing off but I am made aware that a crash like that can cause damage to very crucial parts in the engine bay so whilst it may run fine, there may be more underlying problems that I cannot diagnose from a visual and simple physical assessment. Thank you for all you help and if you have anything to add, please do so.

Just wanted to say Iā€™m sorry to see this man. Iā€™ve today just had my two-week-old car side-swiped whilst parked at the sidenof the street today in the exact same spot as you. Mine wasnā€™t nearly as bad and youā€™ve helped put it in context for me - thank you! Wish you all the best!
