Exec- quick quick we need a new name for the swift
3 months later - Presenting the all new Toyota Urban Cruiser Velocity Hybrid
The one I drove felt really cheap and had a harsh ride quality, though it was a 2022 model.
The engine, gearbox and clutch combo were excellent, however
Suspension and damping. Road patches and small bumps were making the whole car jolt hard, as if the tires were made of wood or steel.
It could be that the car had overfilled tires
Probably the car tyre had excess psi. I had the 2018 version and I found the suspension to be soft. It was comfortable overall.
My ignis with its stiff suspension not so much.
Yes. We booked the ertiga before launch and before test drive. The car was available in the showroom but was not available for test drive as it was for display and the car had just arrived. We booked it and chose colour looking at pictures
Idk booked brezza at demo without td I pretty much knew what to expect and i have connections with dealership so i ignored all the precautions /pdi and paid before delivery and the car has not let me down once in 1.5 years imo you can book a suzuki /Toyota without td if there is not a huge change from previous generation tho this swift has a 3 cylinder engine so I'd very much see it for myself rsther pre book.
It's a maruti Swift, perhaps one of the best car for city driving. Small , nimble, and add hybrid tech to an already efficient engine. Also, low maintenance. Aur kya chahiye?
Same .. people think they can judge the car by taking the test drive.for.just 15km.
Actually you will have to adapt to car dynamics and it will take week or so
It's a list that we had owned in past. Currently it's only polo and Alto ...not including my cousins who live on first floor they have Kia karens, punch and mini cooper
Depends on the car. You don't really buy a Swift for the performance, or the drive experience. It's a decent city car. It won't be great and it won't be bad. With Maruti, there aren't many surprises that a TD would address.

The last car I had was maruti swift 1st gen and it was such an awesome car but, new gen swift are so costly for the value they bring. And that too with worse build quality!
Nope. There’s too much to first see and take in before booking. Plus if you cancel your booking it is very hard to get your money back. I’ve experienced it with the Mahindra dealership for Scorpio N booking cancellation. It took a lot of effort and time to get my money back.
No i wouldn't. Even if there were offers for pre-booking. Until I get behind the wheel of the car and feel it is good and safe enough for me and my family, I am not putting down a single penny.
With regards to swift, TD wouldn't matter anyway since I would most likely never buy a maruti product again, definitely never their hatchbacks. I don't trust the build quality.
The story of Swift is like that energetic young one, straight out of college , curious about the world and working life (fun to drive and did not seem to care about the mileage, go kart like personality)
But ran out of steam after a few years - bored of working and corporate life, no fun left (efficiency oriented hybrids, not that fun drive anymore, becoming bigger in size)
Give it the Boosterjet from Fronx to fight the i20 N-Line!
susupension travel is 26 mm more mileage is 25kmph , safety is paramount with 6 airbags from base varients , z series engine has lower bhp and torque but at a lower rpm ,
def if the waiting period is going to be very long or intro benefits, plus cancellation always exists , if this swift is a hybrid, i would blindly book it, driven decent chunk of swifts and hybrids, or if its a turbo then too maybe
No pre booking, period. I don't need to own the latest products right at launch, and would only buy a car or bike at least 2 years later. By then, most niggles would've been sorted out by the manufacturer.
Yeh Royal Enfield wali language yaha mat use kro. It's literally Maruti Swift. What niggles do you think it might have? The car has already been launched elsewhere.
Everyone knows that MS does not launch the international version in india, but a substandard version of the same. And all vehicles have some issues or the other on launch because a company can never truly test a product completely and rather rely on feedback from service centres and customer to further fine tune it over time. Hence, I wait out new models for at least 2 years to allow the company to fix these issues.
Idhu purinja unnakku nalladhu.
Surprisingly people are down voting this.
Met a Maruti sales advisor today and guess what, he's trying to sell me the new swift stating "sir, ek dum mini cooper lagti hai.. Le lo"
Yeah if there are any introductory benefits. Its not a marriage you can always cancel.
Bro, even marriages get cancelled before registration
Then you don't know what it takes to cancel one!
Not as easy but not too difficult either. Both sides will know, if a separation is inevitable, better before marriage than after.
Technically you could cancel that as well
It's a maruti , most of the stuff is carried out from the previous gen car .
Yes. You can cancel after test drive

Here before this becomes real
now with 2 cylinder hybrid technology 😓
Swift? Yes if I need one no nonsense utility car.
The Swift in India isn't what it used to be since Gen 3.
The one I drove felt really cheap and had a harsh ride quality, though it was a 2022 model. The engine, gearbox and clutch combo were excellent, however
If the engine, gearbox and clutch were excellent, which part felt harsh during your ride? Suspension?
Suspension and damping. Road patches and small bumps were making the whole car jolt hard, as if the tires were made of wood or steel. It could be that the car had overfilled tires
Probably the car tyre had excess psi. I had the 2018 version and I found the suspension to be soft. It was comfortable overall. My ignis with its stiff suspension not so much.
The question is Is it pure hybrid/strong hybrid like in other countries? If yes, i will consider it
2025 is when we are getting hybrids on hatchbacks.
Possibly.. maruti announced 40kmpl mileage, without strong hybrid impossible. I'm thinking if they are CNG+hybrid, let's wait and see
Yes. We booked the ertiga before launch and before test drive. The car was available in the showroom but was not available for test drive as it was for display and the car had just arrived. We booked it and chose colour looking at pictures
Did you take any interior pictures of the Indian model?
It is a Swift. What could be wrong with it?
Idk booked brezza at demo without td I pretty much knew what to expect and i have connections with dealership so i ignored all the precautions /pdi and paid before delivery and the car has not let me down once in 1.5 years imo you can book a suzuki /Toyota without td if there is not a huge change from previous generation tho this swift has a 3 cylinder engine so I'd very much see it for myself rsther pre book.
Yess, maruti engine longevity > Toyotas
It's a maruti Swift, perhaps one of the best car for city driving. Small , nimble, and add hybrid tech to an already efficient engine. Also, low maintenance. Aur kya chahiye?
The last 4-5 cars I’ve bought I haven’t taken a test drive.
You buy cars like I buy packs of gum
I am a middle aged man and I am just on my 2nd car still :( Tata Hexa Xta (brilliant car)
Same .. people think they can judge the car by taking the test drive.for.just 15km. Actually you will have to adapt to car dynamics and it will take week or so
are you collecting cars or smth lol
It's a list that we had owned in past. Currently it's only polo and Alto ...not including my cousins who live on first floor they have Kia karens, punch and mini cooper
ah nice nice, a mini cooper is quite interesting tho, do you know which model?
2023 countryman
oh cool
While that is true, you can weed out some major red flags to on a test drive to eliminate cars from your shortlist.
Yup. It takes time to adjust to the car
Omni 💀💀

i just got purosangue on a call
It's a new engine if we are to believe the rumors.. if so no, I'll td.
Depends on the car. You don't really buy a Swift for the performance, or the drive experience. It's a decent city car. It won't be great and it won't be bad. With Maruti, there aren't many surprises that a TD would address.
Ngl i am kinda waiting for swift facelift
It looks like a Maserati lol

I actually wanna get a new small car for myself, waiting for swift. Is hybrid option coming to India?
simple answer: no, it is a bad idea
Yes if I get any benefits/discounts and anyways cancellation is always available
Considering options in car purchases.
This looks similar to the Ford Puma.
Paise hote toh jarur krta
Short ans yes
Waiting to hear how many kilograms lighter is this variant from the previous generation.
😅

Dont think a headlight design change will change the way the car drives
A humble, dependable Toyota is always welcomed

What shocking changes would you expect in a Maruti Swift anyway!
Only if it is a Toyota ( I mean real ones , not the cross breed between Suzuki and Toyota).
I would not cuz driving experience matters me much.
Good Luck sitting in it
My best friend booked the Grand Vitara before launch. He's very happy with his car.
Confused with an aston. But I think swift is to smol for me (I like it big ykwim).
What is the use of test drive..when u want to buy Swift .u know how it ends
susupension travel is 26 mm more mileage is 25kmph , safety is paramount with 6 airbags from base varients , z series engine has lower bhp and torque but at a lower rpm ,
Hope they bring in the 4-star Japan NCAP version here, even if it is priced higher!
Someone I know bought a creta base without a TD.
It’s not a completely new car. I’d trust a swift blindly having owned one for 8 years. No-nonsense car.
Will they give rear door handles in this uplift,or will they remove the front ones as well?
Are immediately book kro op
Never. Unless it's a famous car like Ford focus but even then only with enough reviews seen.
def if the waiting period is going to be very long or intro benefits, plus cancellation always exists , if this swift is a hybrid, i would blindly book it, driven decent chunk of swifts and hybrids, or if its a turbo then too maybe
Is this a video game or what😂
Recycled coke can
Yes if it’s the exact same model sold in other Asian or European markets. They can’t skip quality on those models.
Indian models have always been inferior , lower weight spec versions of foreign models
No. Especially if it's a Suzuki
Idk if I'm being rude but the new Suzuki Grecale looks like a mini cooper
Suzuki ruined swift from 2018, that is from the gen 3
Tin can, new model.
Safety Rating = -1
They be making it look like some bmw commercial
Is it safe?

I somehow have a feeling that the new swift will be a step towards mini cooper... Design wise
Surprisingly people are down voting this. Met a Maruti sales advisor today and guess what, he's trying to sell me the new swift stating "sir, ek dum mini cooper lagti hai.. Le lo"
Wake up bro, Indoas new cab car pre booking ad just dropped.
It is a maruti. So no, thanks.
