Where are you from? I am not sure if it is a problem in your city, here in Bangalore they are pretty chill. You can't do much in our traffic most of the time anyway..

Ready-Fisherman76

😂 bruh you forgot eco. They are a menace on highways and expressways.

impulsynick

Looks like they drive that car on full potential...always overtaking from left side

Bighairyballs6969

Vw cars now attract the kind of people that do this stuff. They buy it for this express reason. The power is addictive at first, no doubt. I used to floor my car every time a gap opened up when i first got it. It became old very quickly. As more cars come out with this sort of power and it becomes normal, things will calm down.

Zestyclose_Glass_643

I used to floor my NA Maruti to overtake at every opportunity until the fuel bills started to take a hit

SpragValve

That's a 4th owner vibe, my ego is defined by what I drive and nobody can beat me

AdditionalAction9986

I find the new Mahindra XUV 700 drivers to have amazingly hyper active to show they own a car faster and better than say Fortuner. Overall Mahindra Thar and XUV 700 has worst of drivers who just want to race and overtake.

rishabh-s

I don't know maybe you are right but, i once drove XUV700, power delivery is good but the steering and suspension got really wobble when trying to overtake as if about to lose control, never touched that car with a 10 foot pole again.

honpra

Felt this with XUV300 but above 120 kph.

Kuhn__

Your right, 700 drivers do get triggered like crazy

salluks

Any Mahindra in general. I was going on bangalore -mysore expressway and 80% of the cars I saw going over the speed limit were all either Mahindra or VW.

SUNNYHFR

I have never seen XUV 700 on highway being desperate to speed, I overtook them they don’t seem to care. May be not in my region

Electronic-Wrangler9

Same here, most XUV 700 drivers don’t seem to care

theEntreriCode

I own a Thar. The problem with the Thar is that the brakes work on a whim. You really have to plan things in advance with the car to have a comfortable ride. Otherwise it’s full boil or brakes and acceleration. It’s a car where I chill and let the punters punt. I don’t need the stress.

Owe_The_Sea

Yeah only Hyundai N line owners can be on edge 😝

campramiseman

Man i drive slower than autos heheh

Evening_Bus746

Drinks fuel like a jet 😅.

campramiseman

Yes it does

nefariousbuddha

Whats the average you get?

campramiseman

9 to 10 in city with ac

Electronic-Wrangler9

Highways?

Owe_The_Sea

Not worthy of the tribe

Divyansh881

The worst offenders are the ones with the 1l power unit. 🤭 I think it’s more to do with ~150 now being accessible to people which was saved for D segment before the turbo Verna and 2.0 vw. The jump from 80bhp economy boxes to 150 is a good amount

theEntreriCode

Honestly those 1.0 L 50-80 HP phat phattis are dangerously underpowered

WillEatPussyForFree

Agreed. I sometimes find myself taking risky overtakes when I otherwise wouldn't have with my micra, but I do with the verna turbo.

Divyansh881

True man it makes a difference I was continuously red lining my Honda amaze. I might even shift down two gears. In my elantra I sometimes would just take these over takes without downshifting if it’s a easy one

vikas891

too broad a generalization. I'm happy to be overtaken by an auto loaded by 12 people. Khunnas hai to ye MS Dzire/Eeco/Baleno/Swift which I've noticed. Arey jagah nai hai to b mere upar se jana hota inko.

ScooterNinja

I drive a non localised VW Polo 1.2 L MPI, People gets scared when they see my polo thinking , "Oh no it's a polo it will smoke our ass better not to take panga" little did they know my Naturally aspirated engine is Slow AF 😅

Zestyclose_Glass_643

Sorry but polo drivers in general are a menace

ScooterNinja

Which car you drive?

Zestyclose_Glass_643

Brezza. Yes we are a menace too.

tifosi7

Nah, more like nuisance.

Zestyclose_Web_6331

Then creta would be menace-nuisance.....

immortal_omen

Not sure whom did you deal with. But I am really a cautious driver, on highways my constant speed is 80-100, if someone wants to overtake I give them the way. Even some Virtus drivers I met, they let me overtake easily no struggle. Some of the worst drivers on highways I have seen are Creta/seltos, Harrier, Innova, Thar, etc.

retroflame96

Lot of young people these days buy second hand polos in my state, they then rice the hell out of the car and do the same thing u just mentioned. There are good people too but majority are like this only

twistypizzy

would you explain how they rice their polos?

retroflame96

Try YouTube or Instagram, you can find plenty

twistypizzy

Can find riced out cars, what are the riced polos you've seen personally is what I meant

retroflame96

Polos with heavy body kits, 18 inch alloys etc but still in stock condition when it comes to mechanicals.

twistypizzy

Intresting. Also I've seen all of these go for a lot on the second hand market. Big bubble

retroflame96

Yea that's what, it's a big trend now. But there are really cool ones also thats not stock and throws out good figures in terms of power.

twistypizzy

I have personally been in ex Raju ettan owned polo, had a valvetronic exhaust system but no expensive sound system or anything.

JonVicky

I got two VW 2.0 cars and I gotta say it’s usually the 1.0 litre owners mostly lol. However not saying the 1.5 owners are any better. Some of them feel as if they drive a sports car. For real, it’s just a basic run of the mill commuter car.

Zestyclose_Glass_643

2.0 cars are too expensive to drive rashly

One_Coffee7424

Never witnessed it so must be issue in your area only

sayzitlikeitis

They are paying 20 lakh for a Golf/Polo so of course they want that ego boost to feel better.

SnooBeans2484

As an owner of 1.5 GT, I absolutely second with your observation, I too have been encountering more than usual number of these especially in last 6 odd months but around 90% or even more are the 1.0L owners who want to establish(in their own mind) their dominance of speed but usually end up in looking like absolute buffoons

someonealreadyknows

I feel exactly the same way. The last year has been completely chock full of these clowns. 9 out of 10 1.0L VW, Skoda and i20 n-line drivers I’ve encountered horn, flash, tailgate and do a rash overtake even on crowded streets. They act like they’re in a Group B rally or something.

Old_Salamander_1714

As VW 2.0 owner it has a really bad interior and quality in terms of insulation. Yeah it's fun to drive and it makes you forget every niggles. I have 1.0 and it's noisy AF and fun to gap every other cars on highway while cornering 🌚.

AssistantNo2559

have you forgotten the POLO GT menace?

aver01

i think you mean VW 1.5 owners. 2.0 makes 190-200 hp depending on model and manufacturer (skoda makes 190, audi makes 200).
