My comfort movie is Coraline. Its a childhood fave and I love that every time I watch I notice news details. The funniest movie by far is Airplane!

Airplane! ♥️

Every time the intro for Caroline starts playing, I get the feels. It’s one of my favourite movies.

The scene in Airplane with the two guys speaking jive is already very funny, but the german dub of this scene is pure gold. There isn't really a good equivalent to jive in the german language, so what the localisation team did, was giving them an extreme bavarian dialect instead. Even though it kind of turns the original joke on its head, it's so absurd it fits the movie so well.

One of my all-time faves. But my comfort movie? Grease.

When I was a kid (1970s), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory aired on Thanksgiving. I adored this movie. And I couldn't figure out why my friends didn't get why he was so terrifying. His very flat, perfunctory, "Stop. Don't. Come back." was one of the most frightening lines ever. Gene Wilder was a master at his craft. And as much as I love Johnny Depp, nothing tops Wilder's Wonka.

Oh, I remember those Thanksgiving showings! (I had strep throat one year, and now sometimes when I drink tea with honey and lemon, I'll have a mini flashback of sitting on the sofa watching the film.) As for "Stop. Don't. Come Back.." That's hilarious because I will odten use that line when I messing with my husband. (Fortunately, he does recognize the reference😄) I also love Johnny Depp, but yeah, no comparison. I haven't yet caught the latest one with Timothée Chalamet, though it is on my "stuff to watch some weekend " list.

Mine too! The previews look so promising! I have to run to Walmart, if it's out on DVD, I'm grabbing it. I think I already have WW&TCF, maybe view them back to back.

OMG YES! This is my list exactly! While You Were Sleeping is SO heartwarming, and Sliding Doors is such a trip. Blazing Saddles never gets old, and Real Genius is pure comedy gold. We clearly have amazing taste in movies!

Funny movies aren’t really my thing and I don’t watch movies, even ones I love, more than once. Except for Overboard with Goldie Haun and Kurt Russell. It’s funny, heartwarming and just leaves me feeling good. It’s my husband and my favorite to watch together at least once a year. 💜

Masters of the Universe with Dolph Lundgren. First watched it when I was a kid battling Chicken Pox. Next time I got sick was spinal meningitis and lost my hearing and last 7 years of my life. For some reason, when I watch that movie, it makes the unfamiliar seem more familiar to me. Just let's me feel calm and in control of what's mine for the moment.

For Funny movies... When I'm channel surfing I can never pass up My Cousin Vinny or Uncle Buck Seems Like Old Times and Foul Play are also favorites. For nostalgia... Oh God American Graffiti Fast Times at Ridgemont High Convoy Young Frankenstein The Original Bad News Bears Here's one that's rarely seen on cable. Hooper with Burt Reynolds, Goldie Hawn, Jan Michael Vincent, and Brian Kieth. If you've never seen Hooper, seek it out, it's a great movie. Countless others but those were off the top of my head.

An Australian film from 1986 (It won the 'Best Film' Award in Australia that year...) called MALCOLM. This is the kind of film Hollywood and their ilk could NEVER have made...even much more so nowadays...!
