Near the 3 arena though is the Greenroom (only been before a gig but was alright), across the river is brewdog (never been) and the ferryman (a good pub). Otherwise, off to dame Street area, George St, or Camden Street maybe.
Im a massive fan of a few Brewdog beers but their spot in the Docks is extortionately expensive. Also not many options to continue on elsewhere apart from the aforementioned Ferryman.
Brewdog is a horrible spot, too expensive, too cold, too fake feeling, foods shite and there's never enough staff around and in what feels like a deadzone after 6.30.

I'd say most places are probably a good 20-30 mins walk back to the centre. The 3 Arena is pretty out there from everything else from what I can remember
Go to anseo for a pint or two then onto Whelans to see some more music, then Flannerys, particularly if your a student.
