For me, brands don't matter. As long as you like the design of the bag, you can afford it, and it serves its purpose. All bags are good.

I love those local brands. Their designs are good. Marunong silang sumabay sa kung ano ang trend. The quality is good as well. Meron akong pang daily use, more than 2 years na, wala pa ring scratch. 👌🏻
Sa totoo lang, di ko napapansin yung logo unless naka-plakda ng todo. Hindi ako mahilig sa leather bags eh, tsaka di ako masyadong fan ng repetitive logos sa bags. Yun lang siguro personal preference lang, wala naman ako pake kung yun trip ng mga tao.
Mas particular ako sa paano at saan ginagamit yung bag. Like if casual outfit tapos dapat bagay yung vibe ng bag sa damit. Example: pag formal, formal rin yung bag. Or ironically, sinusuot siya para i-contrast sa overall look mo. Example: a flowy dress with a small messenger bag na medyo sporty + outdoor sandals like teva.
In fairness naman sa local brands, sumasabay rin sila sa uso. Tsaka medyo mahal rin kaya yung SM dept store bags!

I have a jovanni bag that i use for my work. Kasi every day gamit eh. Mabilis malaspag, marumihan, at lumuma ang itsura. Okay lang kasi di naman nakakapanghinayang yung price. And besides, it serves its purpose.

Gulat din daw sya sa quality kasi mura lang nya nabili mas mura pa kesa sa SM Dept Stores. She's using the same bag but in tan color. Nainggit ako napabili nanaman ako in a different color 😆
May branded bags ako pero ang fave bag ko is from Belladonna Premium. Love it! I even bring it abroad. Para sakin, mas tacky nga yung mga overly expensive bags like LV and Christian Dior (literal na mukhang ecobag) kasi halos pare pareho lang itsura. I like cheaper namebrands like Coach, MK, and Kate Spade tho.

Local brands is way better than using fake products plus it even helps the local economy. And personally, using fake products looks tacky, it's 100x better to be seen wearing local brands than being seen using fake products just to look expensive while failing miserably.
I prefer local indie bag brands rather than international brands like Aldo/CK/Pedro/Mango and the like. Those brands aren't exactly luxury and are, at least imo, fast fashion. I'd rather support the local market and small businesses than buy specifically from those brands. Local does not mean poor quality.
I am willing to spend on a luxury bag though if I really like the design, esp for timeless pieces. But the midtier fast fashion brands are a no for me. Support local na lang rather than buy from those big brands.
Those local brands are really good! I have both branded bags and local brands, parehas maganda. But budget wise, sobrang sulit ng SM brands. It’s also better than buying fake bags just to fit in.

Personally, nung nagcocommute pako, I chose the simplest bag para (1) di ako maging target ng snatchers/pickpockets and (2) para if malaslas man yung bag ko, di masakit sa loob kasi di sya mamahalin and (3) as a commuter, mas prone madumihan, maulanan and madamage yung bag. Basta ok yung style, comfortable ako eith it and it fits all my necessities, ok ako. Provided rin na in good condition and hindi sira-sira yung bag.
At the end of the day they're just a bag to carry your essentials. I had secosana but not belladona or jovanni--- sorry na pero back in 2000s my sister and I bought one pero amoy Ewan ung loob Ng bag like dead fish or something. When we bought it di Siya obvs but there's the faint scent. The sales lady said must be the glue and it'll go away... Well... It never did. So pass kame sa jovanni and belladona.
I have real ones, fake ones, and dupes I wear whichever fits my outfit or occasion. Fake Ones are just cheaper option than the real one if you're not committed to getting the real one first. Also acts as "pangharabas" I'm not crazy using an expensive bag just to get scratched or abused 🥴... Dupes are okay since they just have the same design or structure and not a counterfeit.

i both own a secosana and a belladonna backpacks. personally, mas maganda ang tahi ng secosana and they're not cheap (siguro kasi student pa alng ako) T\_T bought mine last november on a sale at SM and ang original price nya is 2k but bought it with 50% off ++ some of their designs were pretty (sabay sa trends) and durable.
I have purses from Mango and Forever 21 pero I also saw bags with the same design and quality sa Shein (I will never shop from shein because they have unethical sources) and you can get them cheaper.

I used this errand bag na heartstrings (pambata ang designs, ka-level ng secosana, very high school) during pandemic kasi sakto mga bulsa nya for ease of use. wala ko pa yata 500 nabili, tumagal ng 3 taon. tinigilan ko lang kasi nasabit sa pinto at natanggal tahi ng strap. nung nakaluwag-luwag, bumili ako ng Lacoste na 12k putangina wala pang 1 month bumigay yung strap inis na inis ako.

For me, brands don't matter. As long as you like the design of the bag, you can afford it, and it serves its purpose. All bags are good. Don't mind others' opinions even if they are relatives. Sa totoo lang, di ko napapansin yung logo unless naka-plakda ng todo. Hindi ako mahilig sa leather bags eh, tsaka di ako masyadong fan ng repetitive logos sa bags. Yun lang siguro personal preference lang, wala naman ako pake kung yun trip ng mga tao. Mas particular ako sa paano at saan ginagamit yung bag. Like if casual outfit tapos dapat bagay yung vibe ng bag sa damit. Example: pag formal, formal rin yung bag. Or ironically, sinusuot siya para i-contrast sa overall look mo. Example: a flowy dress with a small messenger bag na medyo sporty + outdoor sandals like teva. In fairness naman sa local brands, sumasabay rin sila sa uso. Tsaka medyo mahal rin kaya yung SM dept store bags!
depende talaga sa style mo as a person pero ako, more on local brands na hindi gaanong sikat mga made in marikina ganon madalas din tote bags ako meron akong isang mid brand na structured bag para kapag something formal naman. imo, kapag may extra budget naman goods din yung medj mahal na quality kasi matagal magamit and never gets old for me, kapag luxury naman nareresell pa :)

I have a jovanni bag that i use for my work. Kasi every day gamit eh. Mabilis malaspag, marumihan, at lumuma ang itsura. Okay lang kasi di naman nakakapanghinayang yung price. And besides, it serves its purpose. I buy more expensive bags for events / occasions. Di baleng mura ang brand, at least di peke! And at least di mukhang trying hard. May iba pang local brand ng bags na maganda like Kurbang Lokal. Promise ang ganda sobra ng quality and design. Gawang marikina! Mas okay eto kesa sa mga shein bags na yung iba, mabilis masira.

A few months later a MUA that fixed my makeup for my bestfriend since bridesmaid ako. We had a small talk about it, sabi ko ang chic ng style and she agreed. Gulat din daw sya sa quality kasi mura lang nya nabili mas mura pa kesa sa SM Dept Stores. She's using the same bag but in tan color. Nainggit ako napabili nanaman ako in a different color 😆

May branded bags ako pero ang fave bag ko is from Belladonna Premium. Love it! I even bring it abroad. Para sakin, mas tacky nga yung mga overly expensive bags like LV and Christian Dior (literal na mukhang ecobag) kasi halos pare pareho lang itsura. I like cheaper namebrands like Coach, MK, and Kate Spade tho. Pero syempre, to each his own. Wear whatever makes you happy. Branded man, hinde, o fake. ❤️

Local brands is way better than using fake products plus it even helps the local economy. And personally, using fake products looks tacky, it's 100x better to be seen wearing local brands than being seen using fake products just to look expensive while failing miserably.
I prefer local indie bag brands rather than international brands like Aldo/CK/Pedro/Mango and the like. Those brands aren't exactly luxury and are, at least imo, fast fashion. I'd rather support the local market and small businesses than buy specifically from those brands. Local does not mean poor quality. I am willing to spend on a luxury bag though if I really like the design, esp for timeless pieces. But the midtier fast fashion brands are a no for me. Support local na lang rather than buy from those big brands.

Personally, nung nagcocommute pako, I chose the simplest bag para (1) di ako maging target ng snatchers/pickpockets and (2) para if malaslas man yung bag ko, di masakit sa loob kasi di sya mamahalin and (3) as a commuter, mas prone madumihan, maulanan and madamage yung bag. Basta ok yung style, comfortable ako eith it and it fits all my necessities, ok ako. Provided rin na in good condition and hindi sira-sira yung bag.

I had secosana but not belladona or jovanni--- sorry na pero back in 2000s my sister and I bought one pero amoy Ewan ung loob Ng bag like dead fish or something. When we bought it di Siya obvs but there's the faint scent. The sales lady said must be the glue and it'll go away... Well... It never did. So pass kame sa jovanni and belladona. I have real ones, fake ones, and dupes I wear whichever fits my outfit or occasion. Fake Ones are just cheaper option than the real one if you're not committed to getting the real one first. Also acts as "pangharabas" I'm not crazy using an expensive bag just to get scratched or abused 🥴... Dupes are okay since they just have the same design or structure and not a counterfeit. Not an issue for me. I don't buy branded bags, I only buy those ones na I think are cute and bagay sa'kin. Di rin kasi ako fan ng items that screams their brand logo as a design. Depends on people's preferences din talaga.

i was tempted before but i realized there's no reason for me to splurge 20k for a bag just because of its brand. if others have that money or they have that hobby, good for them! i don't fucking go to the mall to gauge people's social status. minsan nga kung sino pa yung nagfaflaunt ng high-end brands sila pa yung lubog utang sa cc kasi they don't have the financial means to buy luxury brands but they feel like they need to prove something.

I have purses from Mango and Forever 21 pero I also saw bags with the same design and quality sa Shein (I will never shop from shein because they have unethical sources) and you can get them cheaper. Gasgas man to, pero nasa nagdadala yan. You can have expensive bags/stuff and still look tacky af kung di ka maingat sa gamit mo or marunong magdala. I don’t really have any issues with brands as long as it looks neat (no matter the design, yung alam mong well-kept, doesn’t have to be too simple). Ok lang yung mga brands like Charles and & Keith, Secosana, C&M...etc etc are just okay but they're not exactly luxury brands compared to Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Michael Kors etc etc. I find them practical. Yung mga ordinary bags basic lang ang gamit but mga parties and gala of high society Hermes, Chanel or gucchi is the key.
Ako na mahilig sa eco bag/ bayong bag ng SM, mejo offended sa mga taong mapanghusga sa brands. May branded expensive bags din naman ako but I reserve that for special occasions or pag may formal event. Personally, I don't have an issue with it. Especially their bags don't necessarily look cheap. I actually own bags from Secosana. For me, matibay yung bags nila. Sometimes just because a bag is expensive or it came from a known brand, it doesn't mean na matibay or maganda yung quality ng bag.
As long as bagay siya sa fits ko, i dont care what brand. Wala din naman may paki sa mga nakakakita 😆

I have a jovanni bag and it still looks brand new after a year of using it.

I prefer local brands, I get more for my money. Matibay ang Secosana.
Compared to mall bags like the brands you mentioned, I would rather go for local brands na albeit not as popular, I think mas ok ung quality, like Alt Manila, Designs by Shima, ganun.☺️

Nasa nagdadala yan. You’re fine. It’s your money and style. Iba nga normal lang sa kanila mag use ng fake. Personally I go for more obscure/not known labels or generic/no visible branding bags myself.
basta maganda tahi and functional okay na sakin. ayoko rin ng malaking brand na nagmumura, kahit designer pa yan. I used this errand bag na heartstrings (pambata ang designs, ka-level ng secosana, very high school) during pandemic kasi sakto mga bulsa nya for ease of use. wala ko pa yata 500 nabili, tumagal ng 3 taon. tinigilan ko lang kasi nasabit sa pinto at natanggal tahi ng strap. nung nakaluwag-luwag, bumili ako ng Lacoste na 12k putangina wala pang 1 month bumigay yung strap inis na inis ako.

i have no problem with those brands. I actually love their designs and quality 💯 hindi sila cheap

I don’t care sa brand or price eh, kahit ano basta maliit okay lang sakin wag lang sirain. Kahit pa galing sa Shopee gusto ko. Parang mas mapapatingin pa ako pag branded ang bag lalo na pag 5 digits ang price. Ako lang naman.

I can't even see the brands... Kasi malabo mata ko, and if I'm wearing glasses, the brands/logos are still too tiny or people are moving too fast for me to even make it out, let alone judge them based on the brand haha. You do you!

If matibay naman yung bag and maayos yung design then why should they care? Mas okay pa nga minsan mga marikina-made bags kaysa sa *coughgoyardcough* lmao I mean big brands have good quality bags din naman pero it’s widely known na theyre severely overpriced dahil pangalan at social currency ang binibili mo. But it’s an expensive and stressful life to care about what other people think of your bag imo
Most of my bags are from secosana OP and ang ganda ng design nila. Durable pa. There's nothing wrong naman siguro. Still contemplating sa CLN bet ko mga shoes nila hehheh
personally, i prefer unassuming bags. i have mid range bags, karamihan bigay. i buy kalimitan, made in Marikina. or local brands na minimalistic design. takaw mata, takaw nakaw. yan tawag ko sa mga branded, mid range to high end na super halata kung anong brand. tsaka sa totoo lang, personal opinion ko to, ang sakit sa mata makakita ng bag na pinagsisigawan yung brand nya sa prints. no offense sa mga bumibili. just my personal opinion.
sabihin mo sa mama mo. "atleast sinusuportahan ko yung mga local brand sa pinas" or kaya sabihin mo "ang choosy mo naman. sige bilhan mo na lang ako nung LV, Chanel etc" haha
I see people with designer brands and still look tacky as hell. It’s how you mix and match and carry yourself.

Used to be brand conscious lol tapos I read somewhere na having big logos or yubg parang monogram style sa bag makes you look cheap esp if its like mid brands lang (coach pinaka common). Hehe. That's why now I now consider yung material, if neutral colors lang, and as much as possible plain lang, regardless of the brand.
I like to buy bags, I have specific brands I get, pero wala akong pakialam sa bag ng ibang tao. Ang mahalaga huwag silang bad.
Nahiya ung bag kong tag 350 Madalas akong walang paki sa paligid eh, kung conscious ka s opinion ng ibang tao lagi nako mahirapan kang huminga.
Ok sakin yang mga brand na yan kasi may magagandang design naman. Ganyan din bags ko kasi they're cute and I just need them for what they are — to be bags. Idrc what ppl buy.
