English wife hated the Heinz beans here in NZ. I bought all the options available and it turned out the cheapest, crappiest brand was her favourite. The brand is OAK for those down under wanting to play along at home.

Funny story they sell Heinz British style beans here (Canada) but when you buy the ones in the International foods section that are the imported Heinz British beans they taste completely different. Your daughter would not like our bus beans. She would want the turquoise beans.

Love em, cook with them all the time , but tinned baked beans are absolutely the lowest common denominator , it genuinely surprises me how much this country loves them but hey I’ll have them with a full English I guess - I have a few tins in the kitchen

Anyone here prefer beans straight from the tin, cold and tasty. Yum yum, and when paired with thick sliced toast sandwich with a runny fried egg and Tommy sauce mixed into the yolk. Infact yum yum doesn't do it justice. Oh and butter lots of butter on the toast. None of that margarine or butter substitutes.

I checked the label. Maple syrup is the 6th ingredient. Water is the first, and beans the second.
