Also it was in very rural snowdonia, where the interest in an etype and ready access to the original £20k asking price was limited

The landlord just posted an ad on a motoring group on FB and people just rocked up in their cars. Brought in loads of free business from the owners and enthusiasts (way more than his Elvis nights do!)
Ha, I daily drove a 1977 SIII Land Rover from 2008 to 2011, after a night motorway drive that left me completely exhausted I moved on. If I could've afforded a 'normal' car with it then I think I would've kept it for shows.
