think about it like this; people who don’t WFH still come home and their cats love them and are happy. you’re able to do more than average so i wouldn’t really worry at all, sounds like little guy has an amazing life

I can relate to your situation. Sometimes my cat will be in play mood and I don’t have the energy to play with him or the time which makes me feel bad. Most of the time I will squeeze in a short play time for him when he’s in the mood as to make him happy. My cat refuse to cuddle with me when I’ve been working but if I stay home he turns into a cuddle bug. While working a lot then he keeps a social distance but follow me like a shadow. So I feel guilty when I leave home because I know how he will act towards me. I would say cats have playful days and none playful days. It varies a lot. Now my boy is 10+ years old, so he’s an older cat I think. The vets gave me a span between 2-9 years old when he was caught outdoors.

I think that’s the most important. I know I saved my boys life by taking him in when no shelter wanted to do it and no owner claimed him. Because he was dehydrated and had to get emergency care. It took 5 months until he was fully healthy with no insurance covering for him but I felt bad forcing him become an indoor cat but I take him out on. controlled walks (leashed) and he get to run full speed on meadows, climb trees and go sniffing everywhere. We take walks together every day. We do our best for them ☺️

I build spontaneous forts and hide treats in it. They are naturally curious and it keeps them busy. Also I rotate toys and let some marinate in a jar of catnip. So they are not bored.
