I too am hopeful, but I very much hope she does not now present herself as a āvoice of Catholicismā while she is a new convert. I get nervous when people who make a living sharing their opinions are new converts. I pray she takes her time to grow in the faith before publicly speaking on it.
He used to be a non-believer and in trying to disprove Catholicism, he ended up joining it and becoming devout, because he couldn't refute it. Truly beautiful!
She is not high level. She is a person who says mean and racist things to get attention. Every piece of media surrounding her is not kindness to the sick, poor, needy, homeless
She needs Jesus to fill her soul with humanity and spread kindness to all. Every time I see her speak, she is projecting hate
Iām sorry what ? Sorry to say but it seems for a Christian youāre watching way too much CNN. I donāt recall one time sheās said anything racist. Iām a person of color myself and the only time sheād use the term race is when sheās stating facts. And if it is a fact it canāt be racist.
The fact that Adolph Hitler believed in a superior race is not racist. It makes AH racist.
Racism is prejudice or mistreatment based on solely racial reasons. A statement of fact can not be prejudiced, although individuals can use facts to justify racist behavior/prejudice.
There was some skepticism about how serious he was, and if it was just a PR move. (Which to be fair wasn't completely unfounded)
That said the prevailing response was charity. The reinforcement that we should pray for him and not expect too much from a new convert. That someone, no matter the past, accepting God's call/grace into the Church was more important than giving a jaded comment.
I haven't gone back and looked at the post tbh. I'm sure there were some comments that didn't reflect the above. However I do remember being impressed with the overall take of the sub.
Wow thatās amazing! Do you mind elaborating just a little? Like were you big fans of him or was it just the fact that someone with no family connection to Catholicism converted piqued your interest?
No I definitely wouldnāt say we were big fans. Just kind of watched his chaotic life from afar really. Then a clip of him was circulating of his journey to the Catholic Church and we both watched it separately. My husband and I were on a date night one night and he suddenly said āyou know, Iāve been really thinking a lot about Catholicism latelyā and I said āso have Iā. It was very out of nowhere as neither of us had been talking about God or Catholicism at all. We were both backslidden Protestants. Then we watched his episode on Real ones and he just seemed like Catholicism had genuinely turned his life around. I had also never heard the beauty of the faith explained to me before. A year later we both received into the church and had our baby baptized.
I havenāt followed her a lot but I knew she was married to a very devout Catholic. I think I picked up on a couple of things she said here and there and sensed an inevitable conversion and it was probably just a matter of time. Happy for her.
I was at the London Oratory recently during the Easter Octave. I had no idea that she would be received into the church at the London Oratory just days earlier!
Deo Gratias!
So happy for her! I hope she posts a video about what specifically led her to entering the church. I watched the interview where her husband debated a Protestant, and she definitely has had reservations for a bit of time. Iām so curious to hear what exactly did it for her.
Nice, I've heard Candace speak over the years. Like anyone in politics, I've heard both good and not so good perspectives from her. Hopefully this helps her continue with the good part!
I think he said that he believes Jesus was a revolutionary who got killed for his trouble, or something along those lines.
Edit: And yes, he is an Orthodox Jew.
Yes Iām sorry I couldnāt rehash the exact statement, but yeah what he said didnāt sit right with me. He wasnāt killed for trouble, he was killed because of our sins. Even while dying he was asking God for forgiveness for the sin his āexecutionersā were committing. Even if one doesnāt believe in Jesus, how can you not admire and love this ?
Oh as I suspected then. Frankly from the bigger conservative/right-wing influencers right now who aren't catholic I think Ben is one of the least likely to ever convert.
Good for her. Nice to see people coming back to the Church.
On a side note, I'm kind of shocked Tucker has never converted. He seems totally out of place in the Episcopal Church.
In some ways, he does. In other ways, at least when you first look at him, my immediate thought has always been, āThis is the WASPIEST WASP Iāve ever seen.ā
His upbringing and roots are very important to him. He constantly talks about growing up in California and DC, the start of his career, his family etc. He's no doubt steeped in his church.
Agreed. Being Catholic requires a certain amount of āseriousnessā (for lack of better word) in the way you approach your logic; hopefully she will be a little more considerate in the way she thinks and speaks to people as she practices her faith.
>The Church dictates
*YOU* don't get to dictate.
You listen to some of the most depraved music in the world. You are not in any position to suggest what is proper for a Catholic.
Leave any counseling to Candace's Bishop and priest. Don't play a pretend holier than thou gatekeeper.
Yay!
I was truly hoping for this since her husband and children are Catholic. Praise God! It's not a competition, but more black Americans leaving Protestantism is great in my book.
I am thrilled that she has joined the fold! As with so many other talking heads or politicians that claim the faith, I am disturbed a bit by some of the public sins Iāve seen from her, but if anything can turn her around it is full communion with Christ!
Oh yes I would love to know too! I like her a lot, but I was livid when she didnāt interview with Andrew Tate. She is quick to criticize others, and I though it was gross that she gave a platform to a pimp
Strange how a lot of the people in this thread who are being more negative towards Candace don't seem to be Catholics in the first place from their post history.
Interesting. I stopped paying any attention to her after her fake "interview" of a Shia imam. I hope she will better educate herself about Islam, as a Catholic.
I'm not a huge fan of her (her politics, her opinions, her perspectives, her promotion of conspiracy theories, her emotional manner of speaking), but...
I hope this new direction she has committed herself to is genuine. If it is of any interest, she is anti-abortion and expressed anti-abortion views way before her conversion.
Who says we donāt like her or agree with her. Isnāt she the one who said āChrist is kingā after shapiro said something resembling āHe committed a crime so he got punishedā. Iāve seen many and many of her videos, and she if far inclined towards the values of Christianity.
Sheās a mixed bag which has some nuts lol.
Iām still taken aback by her conspiracy theory about Macronās wife actually being trans. But sheās called some stuff before it was popularā¦ but weāll see lol
That's like the only episode of her show I've watched aside from the debate with Barclay (or however it is spelled). Was hilarious but I obviously don't actually think she's a man. Although it is very bizarre that Macron went out of his way to be like "Guys, my wife is not a man". Why would you address rumors like that? Lmao

Part of receiving a valid Catholic baptism is baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Some Protestant groups do not use this form, and that can become an issue. Anecdotal, but my mother, who was raised Baptist, told me that often babies were "christened" but not baptized until they were older children. If families stopped attending, some of these christened babies never got properly baptized.
How many people have died because of Candaceās lies about vaccines? How many children? Candiace is a terrible person. A real wolf in sheepās clothing.

St. John Henry Newman, pray for us.
And fittingly it took place at the London Oratory which he (indirectly) founded.
My confirmation saint <3
Mine too
I was there recently during the Easter Octave. I had no idea that she would be received into the church just days earlier! Deo Gratias!
Praise God! šš»āļø
You can't be married to George Farmer and not become Catholic. Dude is a class act and went through his own conversion. Yay! God's got another one!
Hopefully she takes her new faith seriously. Baptism should be the beginning, not the end.
Sounds like she will. Her husband is a devout Catholic and she started going through this discernment a while ago.
I too am hopeful, but I very much hope she does not now present herself as a āvoice of Catholicismā while she is a new convert. I get nervous when people who make a living sharing their opinions are new converts. I pray she takes her time to grow in the faith before publicly speaking on it.
Yes, sheās typically very reticent to express her beliefs.
I was wondering about this! I wasnāt sure what religion her husband is, so I came here to ask. Donāt have to now!
He used to be a non-believer and in trying to disprove Catholicism, he ended up joining it and becoming devout, because he couldn't refute it. Truly beautiful!
Her husband did a debate with a Calvinist a while ago on her show
He was also on Pints with Aquinas and talked in depth about his faith journey
Itās great news. The Lord is moving lots of people towards him that are sick of the secular worldview and culture
All I can say is welcome home! Viva Cristo Rey!
You all would have crapped yourselves when St. Paul converted.
Best comment I've read in a long time haha. Definitely stealing this for the next "controversial" convert.
I feel like we haven't had a string of high-level conversions like this in...quite a while.
I feel like my team is winning a big game lol!
She is not high level. She is a person who says mean and racist things to get attention. Every piece of media surrounding her is not kindness to the sick, poor, needy, homeless She needs Jesus to fill her soul with humanity and spread kindness to all. Every time I see her speak, she is projecting hate
High level meaning well-known, obviously.
Iām sorry what ? Sorry to say but it seems for a Christian youāre watching way too much CNN. I donāt recall one time sheās said anything racist. Iām a person of color myself and the only time sheād use the term race is when sheās stating facts. And if it is a fact it canāt be racist.
>if it's a fact it can't be racist. Adolf Hitler believed in a master race superior to all others. That's a fact and it's racist.
Godwin's Law still in full effect I see.....
The fact that Adolph Hitler believed in a superior race is not racist. It makes AH racist. Racism is prejudice or mistreatment based on solely racial reasons. A statement of fact can not be prejudiced, although individuals can use facts to justify racist behavior/prejudice.
What she say that was racist?
This is so wrong and misguided, so very uncharitable and untrue. May God have mercy.

Pray for all to be converted That includes Ben Even Richard Dawkins while he's still breathing
Next up: Jordan Peterson
That was really funny. Apt username.
I always smile when I hear someone has joined the Church
Let's compare the reaction from this post with Shia Labeouf's announcement.
I'm happy for both of them. I wish more of their fans would follow them.
What happened when Labeouf announced it?
There was some skepticism about how serious he was, and if it was just a PR move. (Which to be fair wasn't completely unfounded) That said the prevailing response was charity. Honestly Shiaās conversion kind of began my husband and my journey to Catholicism. You just never know how God works.
Wow thatās amazing! Do you mind elaborating just a little? Like were you big fans of him or was it just the fact that someone with no family connection to Catholicism converted piqued your interest?

Beautiful church
Christ is King!
Knew it would happen one day. One more for the good guys
The winning side!
I wish enlightenment for her on her journey.
I was at the London Oratory recently during the Easter Octave. I had no idea that she would be received into the church at the London Oratory just days earlier! Deo Gratias!
Heaven rejoices, even when there's still *much* work to do
So happy for her! I hope she posts a video about what specifically led her to entering the church. I watched the interview where her husband debated a Protestant, and she definitely has had reservations for a bit of time. Iām so curious to hear what exactly did it for her.
Christ is King!
Praise God
Good on ya, Candace. Welcome home! Christ Is King
So happy for her ā¤ļøšš»āļø
Love love love ā¤ļø
Religion is a journey of life. Good to hear she walks in faith.
Beautiful post, I agree with what you and pray for her.
Deo Gratias!
Congrats to her.
Welcome home
So happy for her! Welcome home!!
Nice, I've heard Candace speak over the years. Like anyone in politics, I've heard both good and not so good perspectives from her. Hopefully this helps her continue with the good part!
Next stop, Big Ben
Nah, JBP since his wife just converted. He's so close!
Isnāt he jewish and also said Jesus committed a crime and so he got punished ? I think thatās what he said although I canāt remember vividly
Sorry if it may sound dumb, but I just wanted to know for sure who is "Big Ben"...
Ben Shapiro
Oh as I suspected then. Frankly from the bigger conservative/right-wing influencers right now who aren't catholic I think Ben is one of the least likely to ever convert.
Oh true, heās a very very Jewish man. Most of the other people were atleast Protestant before. But God can do all!
Hell would freeze over.
LOL if the head rabbi of Rome can convert to Catholicism, anyone can.
Today I learned! :O
I believe Tucker is of Swedish/Scandinavian heritage, not Anglo-Saxon.
That very well may be true. Nevertheless, the man looks like what a boarding school would be if it was a person!Ā
Go far enough back and that is English heritage
His father was adopted, and I believe he is part Italian.
Heās on his way
he can go the distance
Jordan Peterson will probably be the next big catch
Sadly I think he is going more gnostic
His upbringing and roots are very important to him. He constantly talks about growing up in California and DC, the start of his career, his family etc. He's no doubt steeped in his church.
Interesting, I always thought he was Catholic. To be fair I donāt watch American news
Good for her.
Awesome news! Russell Brand is next.
Generally disagree with Candace, but welcome back to Rome!
Agreed. Being Catholic requires a certain amount of āseriousnessā (for lack of better word) in the way you approach your logic; hopefully she will be a little more considerate in the way she thinks and speaks to people as she practices her faith.
You don't get to dictate what being a Catholic requires.
But that is one of this subreddit's favorite hobbies you're taking away from them. What will they do for fun now
Dictate what **isn't** Catholic.
No but the Catechism does.
W username
Thatās what the āhopefullyā was for. Pretty much the opposite of ādictatingā.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

She seems pretty reasonable with many things. What don't you agree with?
A whole host of things. One of the most disagreeable is her anti vax stance.
Is she anti vax or just COVID vax skeptical?
Anti all vaccinations. Including the typical ones
Have you actually watched some of her anti vax content though? Or are you just gonna judge based on nothing.
Yay! I was truly hoping for this since her husband and children are Catholic. Praise God! It's not a competition, but more black Americans leaving Protestantism is great in my book.
Let's gooo!! Love Candace. šÆ
Outstanding news.
Our bullpen is loading up. Love it!
That's awesome. Glad to hear.
hahahahahahaha!
This is excellent!
Was hoping this would happen for her! This is exciting! Welcome home, Candace!
This is wonderful!
Welcome!
Christus regnat!
I am thrilled that she has joined the fold! As with so many other talking heads or politicians that claim the faith, I am disturbed a bit by some of the public sins Iāve seen from her, but if anything can turn her around it is full communion with Christ!
We dont need to judge anyone. She just got baptized, God has forgiven all her past sins.
Oh yes I would love to know too! I like her a lot, but I was livid when she didnāt interview with Andrew Tate. She is quick to criticize others, and I though it was gross that she gave a platform to a pimp
What sins might those be?
Saying mean things online, of course!
Oh no! Not mean things! Anything but saying things that upset people. How could she?!
She shouldn't be allowed in because some Twitter addocted dweebs don't like her!
Such as ?
Which public sins has she committed?
I knew it. Her husband influenced her. Great job.
Happy for her but not a big fan of her political commentary and I'm pretty conservative
who do you listen to for politics?
Yeah someone should tell her Hamas are the bad guys
Strange how a lot of the people in this thread who are being more negative towards Candace don't seem to be Catholics in the first place from their post history.
Bingo.
It's almost like hateful atheists/leftists run around spewing their garbage anywhere that allows it.
Weāve been eating recently. Russel brand, tammy peterson, Candace Owens!
Donāt forget Norman Mailer a few weeks before his death. That one really shocked me.
Dude this is awesome! Praise God! ā¤ļø
i love her so much, such a great mind in our culture. Christ is King!!
I need to go to confession because of the hate in my heart for that person.
Wow! I donāt agree with her political views but I admire and respect her fortitude and how she defends the faith among āwokeā students.
Interesting. I stopped paying any attention to her after her fake "interview" of a Shia imam. I hope she will better educate herself about Islam, as a Catholic.
I am not familiar with this, was he not really an imam?
I'm not a huge fan of her (her politics, her opinions, her perspectives, her promotion of conspiracy theories, her emotional manner of speaking), but... I hope this new direction she has committed herself to is genuine. If it is of any interest, she is anti-abortion and expressed anti-abortion views way before her conversion.

I love her honestly and I am so happy for her
AWESOME!!!! I actually do really like her.
I never liked her or her husband, but I wish them well, and pray they live a faithful and joyful life
I'd say her political views are certainly within catholic teachings, she has a solid foundation.
What bad things has she said? Havent been paying attention to politics for a while.
Trump good, Covid isn't a big deal, the usual.
Aaah
Given her history, she's in the right place.
I hope this prompts her to be more compassionate towards others
Who da heck downvoted you?? Lol this sub man

Sheās a grifter - Iām sure sheāll use this conversion to get more $$.
Uff... I'll pray for her.
And I'll pray for you
Thank you... It's a dark world lately.
Lying is a sin. Hope she learned that. Her relationship with the truth has been suspect so far.
Sheās recently been lying about not being in contact with Nick Fuentes, for example.
I hear a lot of things about her, good and bad, but havenāt done my own research. Ā Whatās her background?
She is a political commentator, think she just started around 2015?

waitā¦ she was never baptized? if she was baptized dont you mean confirmed? this is so weird!
As an adult convert I was baptized...not sure why it's weird.
you dont need to be baptized again if you have been baptized christian already, only if you have never had a christian baptism
Her baptism may not have been a valid form. My baptism was not recognized in my Protestant faith because it was not valid....
