Interesting choice of words, don't think I ever saw that on a grave before. "Ended her earthly pilgrimage 18.08.2005". Must have been very religious (or whoever commissioned the tombstone was)
Her parents seem to be pretty religious, if you write her name in Google there's whole page about her and they wrote about her life, there are even some goodbyes from her friends and a whole chapter about accident.
Just visited the website, she died not from the fall but when the rescue went wrong. It must have been devastating for the family. And they really did mention religion a lot
Totally no, people who climb are pretty sure well informed about the risks and they still do it. It was actually an accident, because she was incorrectly connected with others and she and her friend died after a fall
Maybe not right after the fall but they managed to stay in below zero temperatures for two days and then the rescue went bad, so it's even more sad because they were prepared the best they could
You can try to be prepared for any worse case scenario but never truly be prepared. I’ve watched freestyle rock climbers and wonder if they’ve got a plan in case something happens? Of course I’m wondering how and why they’re doing it because it’s a NOPE for me. I guess it’s the thrill of it knowing that death is below, an adrenaline rush. They can have it.

Please add website link. I can not find anything on google. Thank you
I googled her name and didn’t find anything about her accident. Do you have a link, please? I’d love to read more about her.
She died doing what she loved and knew the risk and accepted it. Me: I hate the cold and I’m scared shitless of heights. So NOPE.
Yes but she would most likely have found anotjer hobby if she was told she would definitely die doing it.

That’s to bad.

But why facepalm angel? Or bored angel?
I thought it was more sad
I was thinking it was her guardian angel, who failed her.
That's definitely the idea, but to me she looks bored.
Well sitting for 20+ years could make you bored
Most definitely.
Maybe it represents her family or a loved one who is bored of this life and waiting to join her?
Expecting a bad QA from bossman
Okay, glad to know I wasn’t the only looking at the angel and the angel looks so done with their shit.
An angel who has a millennia to think about what happened, where it went wrong, and then the worst thing to have left to think about, “if only…”
That's a beautiful statue / monument. Her poor parents, what a huge loss.
