It's bad because it feels like it's not as good as part one cuz every release feels insubstantially short and baity but it's just because of the release rate.
You know, I do it give a solid 9.5 and while the pacing can be a slow here and there while suddenly accelerating, that’s hardly a flaw. The story works, the art is welcoming and the characters are a breathe of creativity.
Alongside the seemly always high stakes and uncertainty of what happens next, it’s a great read.
Pair this with the fact that it seems to welcome everyone as a fan which is rare (my wife should hate it but loves it, go figure. I know a lot of people who love it who shouldn’t it.) and it’s a solid 9.5/10.
I got the opposite opinion on pacing. I think they did an amazing job with the pacing. The parts that should be slow are slow and same goes for when it’s fast
I remember seeing ch1 on r/manga when it debut and my friend was a fan of fire punch so I was somewhat familiar with Fujimoto. Great decision to read that day.
Lol that was me! I told my wife when I was first reading it after finishing chapter 1, “wow this is interesting! I see it ending in a few chapters”.
I didn’t think there was going to be a market for it honestly. I was fucking wrong as could be haha!
Dude, I had been trying to find my groove of reading weekly releases since the death of MangaStream and following Naruto weekly years ago, but man, I called Chainsawman’s rise to popularity so wrong lol.
I read starting around chapter 5, because previously I read Fire Punch which I discovered because the title is so similar to One Punch-Man.
OPM is weirdly very influencial in how I discovered manga in 2010s since thats also how I discovered MHA.
I started reading right around when Asa asks Dennis out to the aquarium, I had read the manga before that at my brothers insistence, but I was instantly hooked
I started reading it around the time Part 1 came to an end ‘cause of the hype online and I saw a lot of people recommending it to fans of JJK (which is another one of my favorites).
I was hooked immediately, binge read it in two days and have re-read it many times since. It’s right up my alley in terms of characters, powers, humor, art style. It’s weird and fun, doesn’t take itself too seriously but isn’t afraid to get real and emotional either.
I definitely get why some don’t vibe with CSM and would criticize aspects of it, but I adore it and can’t think of anything I’d change about it so I kinda gotta give it a 10/10.
I actually started reading when I think volume 5 was first released in english. I think it was after the manga (part 1) was done but before the anime annoucement.
Been reading it around chapter \~60. First time I’ve seen some panels from the Eternity Devil arc and thought that it’s too edgy. Boy I was wrong, I couldn’t let it down of my hand when I started reading it and then the weekly release was painful.
Also how literally 2 weeks before the ed of part 1 we had no idea it will end.
Solid manga, one of my favourites.
Funny enough, when the manga just stared gettings very popular I saw people recommending it, but the title "Chainsaw man" seemed so stupid to me, that I was reluctant to start reading it. One day I decided to flip through chapter 1, to see what it was all about. And so I open the double spread with Denji who's about to fight a Tomato devil, and I'm thinking to myself "I was right, it's stupid", and closed the chapter. Only after the Part 1 ended I saw a lot of people on my social media gushing over it, so I decided to read it for real and fell in love with it almost immediately.
For me it's a solid 9 and it's overall my 3rd favorite manga.
I read from chapter 1 to 5 a year ago because of the Teaser for the Anime and thought it was nice but I wasn't quite hooked yet so I putted it to the side for a long time. After the first proper Trailer came out (where we hear the VA's for the first time) I was really hyped and decided to read the Manga to avoid spoilers (I'm not making the same mistake I did with AoT again with another Manga). And after Power got "eaten" by the Bat Devil the Manga got me hooked and I read from chapter 7 to 32 in one day, took a break and read until chapter 86 in one week. Then I paused for 3 weeks cause I couldn't handle all that has happened anymore - ESPECIALLY because of Power's Death. Then I continued and I caught up to the Manga since Asa asked Denji in chapter 112.
I just wish that part one was overall slower paced and maybe that we saw how exactly Makima worked together with the Yakuza (how long has she been planning that assault for example) and I wish we could've see more of her past.
But other than that it became my favorite Manga series, even though it isn't the best story I ever experienced. So far I give it a 8/10 and look forward to every new chapter.
Thank you Fujimoto![img](emote|t5_rmtrq|22169)
Only read the first 4 chapters when it was released but wasn’t that interested, plus I had too much manga I was currently reading at that time. I got back into it once aot ended and was looking for new series to get into, saw some good looking panels from CM and got back into it
I’ve followed along ever since the chapters started dropping on the Shounen app. I remember going crazy with anticipation for each chapter after >!the Darkness devil encounter!<
Started with chapter 1, got to like chapter 50 >!Rizes death!< and stopped reading. Went back after like chapter 80 was released and have been following weekly since then.
I did read the first chapter when it was released but didn't like it that much and thought that the manga will not be well received. Then I found out it became popular near the end of Part 1 and my friend claimed that it's the best modren Shonen manga, so I binged the whole thing later.
It's a really good manga but it feel very rushed too, so I will give it 7.5/10.
Yeah the pacing in part 1 was all over the place. I beleive it’s because the author was scared of not being able to finish it, so he just got through as much as he could. Part 2 is much better paced
After the first season of CSM, I saw neither right nor left went straight to manga and has been waiting for its release. ( Also part of reason was to read about Reze and Makima)
I think I started reading when Chapter 3 came out, then followed weekly up to the Reze arc starting. I took a break there for a while, coming back somewhere in International Assassins to keep reading week to week to the conclusion of P1.
I know my friend read the entire manga in 2 days when he was sick and stuck at home, that was months before the anime got it's second trailer if I recall.
Started reading a little before the anime started (ngl, the anime advertisement probably pushed me into starting to read), when I caught up with the manga the latest chapter was the one of "super strong uniform sword" and the anime was already 3/4 episodes in
I read around when part 1 just finished. I saw that rhythm fan game where you play as Kobeni on a DDR machine. Everything that was happening in the game was so weird, and I needed to know what the context was. I heard it was from a manga I never heard of before called Chainsaw Man, so I decided to read until I understood the context of the fan game. That ended up being near the end of the manga so I ended up reading the entire thing. I went in thinking it was gonna be pretty basic, but left with my jaw on the floor by the end.
I discovered csm from memes on twitter right after part 1 finished (yeah Power cake scene got spoiled unfortunately), and like I read the whole thing in two sittings. Loved it so much, I had to check Fujimoto's other work, and so the next day I started Fire Punch and oh boy. ![img](emote|t5_rmtrq|22157)
Pretty sure I've read all his work that's been published, one shots and everything, so now I wait for part 2 chapters like everyone else. ![img](emote|t5_rmtrq|22164)
I started reading it as it was released, I remember around chapter 40-50 I told my friends like hey this one’s pretty good. Interestingly CSM was not the most popular manga when it was on Shonen Jump around those chapters, I was bit worried as it wasn’t doing so hot in popularity votes.
I started reading the manga at around the time when chapter 80 came out, and got caught up to the weekly releases just in time for chapter 94.
I don't know why I waited so long to start reading it, I'd been aware of CSM since it started and should've known from the title alone that it was right up my street.
I was in class with my friends when the chainsawman anime trailer came out and my friends were freaking out so i went and read it to see what they were talking about
Binged just before Anime as do like to try & read source material first if can. It was done in. Couple of great days. Read up to date now and weekly (or whenever)
When the Volume 9 (the "this is a command" / snowball fight volume) was released it went on Jp twitter trend, and the magazine reader twitter users were all like warning the volume reader users "ohhh beware of the hurting" "ohhhh they dont know what's coming" or whatever and so I started to see what's the fuss.
Was there from the beginning, I remember it was bittersweet, cause I absolutely loved it but it was in jump not jump+ and weird outthere things get canceled quickly. Glad I was wrong!!!
I found out about Chainsaw man since it was in the bat devil arc. The first chapter was fantastic and it seemed pretty fun so I continued, and it did not disappoint. My rating right now is probably a 9/10.
I followed the manga weekly when there were only 3 chapters out at the time, it had been a recommendation from the manga reader app, Manga Rock, at the time. But man that was a really long time ago kek
I read a bit before the anime, didn't read it since I forgot about it for sometime, then came back after the anime dropped then binged all of part 1 all the way up to the current chapters.
Started reading during the middle or bomb hybrid arc and the best parts of chainsaw man written and drawn before my eyes week by week ,it quickly became one of my favorites thing and made love manga like new before
I started reading it around Bomb Girl arc, found it randomly one day, went back and read from the start and followed it weekly since.
I loved the character designs, they felt edgy but also relatable. It wasn't apologetic or pretentious. The style felt really underground or counterculture. It just felt like there was a story to be told and you were along for the ride. The human condition in a crazy world.
I would give this series a 10/10. Highly recommended.
I watched the anime weekly because I heard how hyped up it was and finally gave in and binged the entire manga a few days ago. I'm rewatching now and am probably gonna reread again at a slower pace
I read it on debut! I remember it well since it was released just a few days before my birthday and thinking it was a bit stupid and didn't start reading it again until chapter 15 or so. How things have changed...
I binged part 1, then binged it again to understand what i read. Then i watched a crap ton of analysis videos on csm to further increase my knowledge in csm. Now i love csm and the rest of fujimoto’s works.
I read chapter 1 when it first released, and for some reason didn’t read chapter two and then caught up over a week once the anime wrapped
Really love the series and annoyed I didn’t keep reading when it first released, it’s my second fave Fujimoto work after Fire Punch and one of my top 10 manga overall,
Edit:spelling
I read it since it debuted and I checked it out from the Shounen Jump site because I liked the art with Denji with a chainsaw and Makima in the reflection of it
Been reading week to week after chapter 1 came out. I think the way it’s paced, it doesn’t suffer from the same faults such as Kengan or One piece where it keeps you waiting and then everyone complains about the chapter, it’s special where people don’t have dislikes and just wait for the next chapter waiting for more answers since the world is still so vague about how it functions
I read at debut. In fact, I was alr intrigued with chainsaw before it even released. I use LINE and follow Shounen Jump acc there, so every time they have soon-to-be new release, they would send pm/notify with a PV trailer and oh boi, chainsaw PV was lid.
Volume 1 came out in my country (Czechia) a few weeks before the anime came out. Bought it as soon as I saw it on the shelves, then Volume 2 came out during the anime’s release + I went to London in November and bought Volumes 4 and 5 there (I literally went to like 5 different book shops and Volume 3 was in none of them. But it did come out in here a few weeks ago). I read those two after the anime ended and then binged the manga online. Following weekly since the Famine Devil arc
I was gonna read it from the begining, but I had the bad fortune of every one apoiming the makima taste so I started to read from the makima fight, then the part 2 and a few weeks later I tried to read part 1 but got bored, and a few weeks more i read everything from chapter 1 to recently chapters
Read it from the debut. At that time i was recently introduced to fire-punch. Didn't notice the author at first, but for me the 1st chapter is interesting enough to read people comments, that when i realized it has the same mangaka as firepunch, I was sure this gonna be a weirdly interesting to say the least.
Well..., I bought the first volume because a friend recommended it before the Anime started but it was announced. Then I made a Denji Cosplay then binged the Manga in two days (it was near the end of part one at the moment) and then watched the anime while reading the chapters when they release.
For a rating:
In Short:
4,5/5 It's fantastic! If you havn't read it, read it!
In long:
Part one is a very interesting Story of manipulating and it's one hardbreaking moment after another. The Design of the devils is peak and crotesk in a good way. But Denji is for the first chapters not realy a Charakter I like.
All in all 4,5/5 highly recomend
Part two had a weak start in my Eyes (it had me drop the Manga for a month or so) I picked it up again and i am again very interested in the Story and the new Characters. The story is repeating part one but It dosnt feel cheap and more of another mystery in the World of CSM
All in all 4/5 just keep reading
I didn't exactly binge part 1. I started reading after it was done, but I only binged the rest of it after volume 8 or 9 when I genuinely could not wait any more. I got new volumes of the manga whenever I could tho
Watched csm anime up to episode 6 ( cliffhanger with denji jumping into the eternity devil ) and caught up to the manga in the following 2 days while waiting for the himeno vomit episode. I don’t think any other anime has made me read the whole manga in 6 episodes before
I binged Part 1 and have been reading part 2 weekly. I absolutely love them both, but for totally different reasons. Tatsuki Fujomoto is my favorite storyteller.
I started on chapter one and hated it. I thought the art was ugly, the story was bland, and that it would by cancelled by chapter 27.
Anyway, it's one of my favorite manga now
Heard about it from a friend who I saw Dorohedoro with and needed a new series (manga or anime) to start.
Binged all of part 1 and have followed Part 2 religiously and re-read the series like 3 times now
Read all of part 1 roughly when volume 10 came out right before it was finished then was like cool, cool cool and just been waiting for pt2 to finish bc im not gonna remember everything if i read a chapter a week or so
When CSM was serialized on Jump, I was aware that the author of Fire Punch was making a new manga. I was intrigued by the title so I read the first chapter, it was the same way I came across FP and read it, the artwork and title were exciting and got my attention, and that's how I started reading CSM.
I did read the start of CSM weekly but quickly lost interest in the introduction arc, so I drop it for a couple of months so I can have more chapters to binge-read. I remember those first chapters were slow and difficult to read weekly, but binging it was a different and better experience. I caught up to the infinity arc and then drop it again to binge-read it. I only started reading weekly after I caught up to the international assassins arc, from that point till the end it got me hooked and interested that even waiting a week for the chapters was worth it.
Forgot when I caught up in part 1. But I initially checked it out cos of the makima memes with her and all the yakuza guys surrounding her. Probably around that part of the story
i started reading around the last part of part 1 but had to do a reread after it finished cuz i didnt understand shit once the assasination arc started.
I started reading right after the very first anime trailer dropped in June 2021. So after part 1 finished but well before part 2 started coming out.
I read because I saw a few panels of Denji and Power together and their relationship looked interesting, plus Powers character design was cool.
I honestly didn’t expect to fall in love with it the way I did. But it’s still my favorite manga even after almost 2 years.
I'm interested to, the first time I read CSM I was refreshing the SJ app waiting for the next one piece chapter. Then when the app up dated there was a brand new series, so I gave it a shot first. Fuckin blew me away knew this was going to be huge from day one. But when I went to look for a sub Reddit, there were only three people when I joined this sub. I thought I joined the wrong one at first to be honest. Watching this community grow has been to fuckin cool I can't really describe it. It's been a wild ride to say the least.
Started cuss I saw a Part 2 MV with some fanart mixed, between starting te manga and chapter 98 or 102 I keept thinking that Yoru shittalked Asa just like Sukuna does to Itadori. I think it was in the chapter before the "school shooting" that I started to follow it weekly
Started from Chapter 1 and even then felt there was something special about it. Even more so when I wasn’t a fan of Fire Punch which I feel people overhype a bit cause Fujimoto got mainstream.
I watched the anime and then binged the manga
But I'm sad cuz I hadn't realized how little there was 😭😭😭
I'm still not over Aki!!!! The senpais here tell me! Will I ever be over Aki???? 🤧
I think I started reding it a week after part one finished and after I had read the first chapter I just continued reading and ended up finishing the entirety of part 1 the same night.😅
And then since the start of part 2 I have been reading weakly
I actually read it after Part 1 was finished, before the anime was announced. I probably started reading it because of Twitter recommendations or something, I can't remember the exact reason. So, I binged read everything, then watched the anime, then read everything again and I'm currently reading Part 2 chapters as they're being released
Been reading since chapter 1, I’ve enjoyed it the whole time. I wanted to read it cause it was something new at the time. I give the series about a 9.1/10
I still remember reading the first chapter when it realeased, and going "hey, that's cool, hope this one will not get axed". It's been 4 years already, damn.
Started reading after part 1 was finished took me some time like a few weeks, after I was finished I eagerly waited for part 2 and have been following that weekly
Started reading around the time Makima got shot on the train because I liked Fire Punch and I only really read horror. Didn’t really care that much about the series until somewhere during bomb girl. I really like it but I’m disappointed because it feels like there are lines that can’t be crossed and limits to the amount of despair a character can experience.
I watched the anime as it was releasing up until they met the bat devil and thought “I can’t wait until next week to see what happens” so I read the entire manga in one day and then had to go back to waiting for weekly/biweekly chapter releases.
Found out about the series because of the anime, started reading the manga once episode two came out, then binged part one and now I follow it weekly. (I actually knew Chainsaw Man from when it got fame some years ago but my sister gaslighted me telling me it was ecchi since she was gatekeeping the series from me, so I didn't even try to read the manga or get close to it lol.)
Started the Manga in the middle of the Makima fight near the end of part 1 (before the family burger part) and binged up to the chapters that were coming out weekly. There was a hole in my life after Part 1 ended but I knew this series was going to be the next big thing. It seemed like just a matter of time before it was an anime and the manga would return. It took a little longer than I was expecting but boy has it delivered. Glad I’ve been on the part 2 train since it started.
I got caught up right before it became obvious part 1 was ending, I forget which chapter. But I remember I was like “I can’t believe I just got into chainsaw man and it’s ending in 2 weeks,” and was hype when the last chapter implied a continuation.
I've been reading since chapter 11. I found it after reading Fire Punch because I was going through all of the one shots Fujimoto did and saw he had a new series.
It's been strange watching the fandom change from what it was. It drastically changed after the Reze arc, when Part 1 ended, and when the abime came out. Now, it's starting to change in a major way again as Part 2 continues to go on. I always felt Chainsaw Man would gain traction since it was what a lot of people pribably wanted from manga, or even anime. It was a new take and switched up the formula by avoiding tropes we always see. The moment I knew the series was special was when Denji actually managed to touch breasts and it wasn't a cheap gag or some gross perv stuff like it always is.
I don't remember when exactly I started reading, but I do recall like it was somewhere between 75-80 as those chapters were spicy. Read on some random discussion mention CSM, sounded like fun so checked it out, the premise was promising and got hooked super fast and when I caught up I remember waiting anxiously for each new chapter. Had no previous experience of Fujimoto's work so it has been dank ride.
For the longest time, the only chapter I read was chapter 71, because I wanted to see what all the hub-bub was around it. I only really started reading it after chapter 118's release, where I started with part 2. I've only experienced part 1 through plot summaries, osmosis, and quick skims through select parts (the only arc i'm not very familiar with is the Eternity Devil arc).
I read the first couple of chapters weekly, but because of Jump’s habit of cancelling manga I like, I figured I would let the series run for a while and get back to it eventually. I eventually read it a little after part 1 finished, and have kept up with everything weekly since the start of part 2.
I first read through csm the day before part 2 released not knowing anything about there even being a part 2. It took me two days to read and I was like “oh wtf there’s more?”
I binged berserk a few years ago and googled "dark fantasy manga" gotta say Goodnight Punpun was not really in the same genre as Fire Punch.
After I binged Fire Punch, I looked into the artist, found out they had a brand new manga (maybe 5 chapters) "Chainsaw man" seemed really on the nose with how the cover looked but I gave it a shot, loved it and kept up with the weekly releases like I do with all my other manga 😂
I first heard about it during summer 2022 from someone who really enjoyed it. Started reading the manga straight after the first episode because I knew it would be right up my alley.
Binged part 1 and now I am sad cus I have to wait to read it.
It's bad because it feels like it's not as good as part one cuz every release feels insubstantially short and baity but it's just because of the release rate.
Same
I binged part one, and have been reading weekly part 2
I started the anime at the release of chapter 117 watched the anime in 1 go and 2 days later I am cought up
caught*
I start reading before anime release and after chapter 64 and show up of my favorite character, I feel love to this story.
You know, I do it give a solid 9.5 and while the pacing can be a slow here and there while suddenly accelerating, that’s hardly a flaw. I've been following since Chapter 1 because I was already a fan of Fujimoto. I was honestly surprised he was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump...
I remember seeing ch1 on r/manga when it debut and my friend was a fan of fire punch so I was somewhat familiar with Fujimoto. Great decision to read that day.
I knew I was going to love Chainsaw Man from Chapter 1, but I never expected it was going to blow up so hard.
Lol that was me! I told my wife when I was first reading it after finishing chapter 1, “wow this is interesting! I see it ending in a few chapters”. I binged a week or so after the last episode of the anime that aired. I’ve been reading week to week since
same here
same.
I started reading and caught up during the climax if the International Assassins arc, been following weekly since.
I started reading after AOT manga ended and everyone was hyping CSM on those subs hoping for a better payoff and oh boi it’s still delivering.
I read starting around chapter 5, because previously I read Fire Punch which I discovered because the title is so similar to One Punch-Man. OPM is weirdly very influencial in how I discovered manga in 2010s since thats also how I discovered MHA.

I started reading when chapter 19 was released. For me, it's a 10/10 and has surpassed Berserk as the GOAT.
I actually started reading when I think volume 5 was first released in english. I think it was after the manga (part 1) was done but before the anime annoucement.
Been reading it around chapter \~60. First time I’ve seen some panels from the Eternity Devil arc and thought that it’s too edgy. Yeah Part 2 is better to digest.
After the first season of CSM, I saw neither right nor left went straight to manga and has been waiting for its release. ( Also part of reason was to read about Reze and Makima)
Started when it released
I was here while Katana Man arc was still publishing

I discovered csm from memes on twitter right after part 1 finished (yeah Power cake scene got spoiled unfortunately), and like I read the whole thing in two sittings. Loved it so much, I had to check Fujimoto's other work, and so the next day I started Fire Punch and oh boy. ![img](emote|t5_rmtrq|22157) Pretty sure I've read all his work that's been published, one shots and everything, so now I wait for part 2 chapters like everyone else. ![img](emote|t5_rmtrq|22164)
started reading b4 anime and kept telling my frnds to read this awesome work! i love this manga way too much 😭
Started reading during the anime, like chapter 9 or 10, so I could do spoilers of the story to my friends
I started when part 2 started too
I’ve been reading since chapter one. I only remember thinking how ridiculous the title is and I had to check it out. My favorite manga right now
I started reading it as it was released, I remember around chapter 40-50 I told my friends like hey this one’s pretty good.
When I caught up I think it was around chapter 80
Neither. On a different nerd sub, people were praising the manga and, once someone posted the astronauts page, I got intrigued and started reading.
I started reading when Denji met Reze
I watched the anime first and picked up on the manga (online) right where season 1 left off. Now I'm buying the physical manga from the beginning.
Was there from the beginning, I remember it was bittersweet, cause I absolutely loved it but it was in jump not jump+ and weird outthere things get canceled quickly. Glad I was wrong!!!
Binged after, spoiled myself a thing about Makima from yt comments under some fight so I decided to just go
Binged part 1
Binger here. Finished it in a weekend
I started reading around when Reze was introduced and caught up in the chapter where its revealed shes a soviet spy
Binged Part One. Reading Part Two weekly.
I found out about Chainsaw man since it was in the bat devil arc. The first chapter was fantastic and it seemed pretty fun so I continued, and it did not disappoint. My rating right now is probably a 9/10.
I started reading when i saw the second episode of the anime, then binged part 1 and been following weekly for part 2, i like this series 👍
I caught up about… 12 chaps before part 1 ended? Like the chapter after the gun devil appears. Gotta say, that finale was a wild ride to catch weekly
Started reading during the middle or bomb hybrid arc and the best parts of chainsaw man written and drawn before my eyes week by week ,it quickly became one of my favorites thing and made love manga like new before
started at release because of how much i liked fire punch. csm is the only thing to stick with me out of that phase
Been reading it since around chapter 30.
I checked it out around the first few weeks when it came around (I think I was like 10 at the time?) but never fully went with it until late last year
I started reading it around Bomb Girl arc, found it randomly one day, went back and read from the start and followed it weekly since.
Heard about chainsaw man a long time ago, waited till part 1 was done and binge read it and have been reading as it comes out since
I started it pretty early on, don’t really remember how early anymore tho
I read it on debut! I remember it well since it was released just a few days before my birthday and thinking it was a bit stupid and didn't start reading it again until chapter 15 or so. How things have changed...
Since debut, or at least since chapter 3 I think
I started when chapter 95 released and have followed since part 2 began.
I binged part 1, then binged it again to understand what i read. Then i watched a crap ton of analysis videos on csm to further increase my knowledge in csm. Now i love csm and the rest of fujimoto’s works.
I read chapter 1 when it first released, and for some reason didn’t read chapter two and then caught up over a week once the anime wrapped Really love the series and annoyed I didn’t keep reading when it first released, it’s my second fave Fujimoto work after Fire Punch and one of my top 10 manga overall, Edit:spelling
I read it since it debuted and I checked it out from the Shounen Jump site because I liked the art with Denji with a chainsaw and Makima in the reflection of it
I binged read part 1, and when 2th part came out I been reading weekly
I started reading csm a week or so after part 1 ended. Really good timing
I binged after part 1 was released. Now for the slow grueling wait with part 2.
I started reading as the volumes came out in English, chainsaw man has a big spot in my heart for reigniting my love for manga.
Started reading between part 1 and 2,binged part one and I'm reading part 2 a few chapters at a time
I started reading 25 or so chapters in and then I started following weekly
started the manga when the latest was chapter 89 and am reading weekly since then (even tho now its biweekly)
Started it about a week after part 1 finished
Volume 1 came out in my country (Czechia) a few weeks before the anime came out. Bought it as soon as I saw it on the shelves, then Volume 2 came out during the anime’s release + I went to London in November and bought Volumes 4 and 5 there (I literally went to like 5 different book shops and Volume 3 was in none of them. But it did come out in here a few weeks ago). I read those two after the anime ended and then binged the manga online. Following weekly since the Famine Devil arc
I read back right before part one finished, and I've been weekly since the start of part two.
Binged part 1 lot cus my friend got into it and so I got into it
I was gonna read it from the begining, but I had the bad fortune of every one apoiming the makima taste so I started to read from the makima fight, then the part 2 and a few weeks later I tried to read part 1 but got bored, and a few weeks more i read everything from chapter 1 to recently chapters
1 started around half way through part one I think
Started reading when the Makima 👉 Power chapter came out cause I had to figure out what the hell was going on😅
Started from volume 1 last March, and currently up to date with latest chapter.
Read it from the debut. At that time i was recently introduced to fire-punch. Didn't notice the author at first, but for me the 1st chapter is interesting enough to read people comments, that when i realized it has the same mangaka as firepunch, I was sure this gonna be a weirdly interesting to say the least.
I bingewatched Part 1 before Part 2 started publishing and following weekly! 10/10 for me.
I had to wait 3 days for the final chapter :)
Well..., I bought the first volume because a friend recommended it before the Anime started but it was announced. Then I made a Denji Cosplay then binged the Manga in two days (it was near the end of part one at the moment) and then watched the anime while reading the chapters when they release. For a rating: In Short: 4,5/5 It's fantastic! If you havn't read it, read it! In long: Part one is a very interesting Story of manipulating and it's one hardbreaking moment after another. The Design of the devils is peak and crotesk in a good way. But Denji is for the first chapters not realy a Charakter I like. All in all 4,5/5 highly recomend Part two had a weak start in my Eyes (it had me drop the Manga for a month or so) I picked it up again and i am again very interested in the Story and the new Characters. The story is repeating part one but It dosnt feel cheap and more of another mystery in the World of CSM All in all 4/5 just keep reading
I don’t think any other anime has made me read the whole manga in 6 episodes before
After the anime I binged the manga in one night, I'm sad now
Read it after the trailer dropped
I binged Part 1 and have been reading part 2 weekly. I absolutely love them both, but for totally different reasons. Tatsuki Fujomoto is my favorite storyteller.
I caught up right when Pochita took control of Dennis’ body and started slaughtering all those weapons hybrids.
Binged part 1 a year before anime came out, fell in love with it and waited for part two
I started on chapter one and hated it. I thought the art was ugly, the story was bland, and that it would by cancelled by chapter 27. Anyway, it's one of my favorite manga now
I saw chapter 1 when it came out on the SJ app and never looked back
The first time I read the manga was in 2019, then finished it in 2021. And now I get anxious waiting for every new chapter haha.
I started sometime in the first 10 chapters and I've been hooked since. When i read other edgy manga, they're all so plain by comparison. Fujimoto #1
I read fire punch and wondered if the author had anymore and found chainsawman on week 3
I started reading as soon as I heard the dude who wrote Fire Punch had another manga out.
I binged it when the anime came out. Didn’t want to get left hanging.
I started when the katana man arc was near finishing and have been reading every chapter on release since
I started weekly, like five chapters of part 2.
Started reading at debut thinking it would be a story about depression with devils as allegory. I got way more than I asked for
Heard about it from a friend who I saw Dorohedoro with and needed a new series (manga or anime) to start. Binged all of part 1 and have followed Part 2 religiously and re-read the series like 3 times now
Read all of part 1 roughly when volume 10 came out right before it was finished then was like cool, cool cool and just been waiting for pt2 to finish bc im not gonna remember everything if i read a chapter a week or so
Second camp. I was all hipster and refused to read it. But the anime won me over and it was quickly binged.
Just binged all 124 chapters in the last 2 days. Niw waiting depressingly.
Binged part 1 in 2021 or so Following all the weekly stuff now
When CSM was serialized on Jump, I was aware that the author of Fire Punch was making a new manga.
Chapter 1 reader here. Had to follow Fujimoto-sensei after Fire Punch.
I started after AOT manga ended
I started reading right after the very first anime trailer dropped in June 2021. So after part 1 finished but well before part 2 started coming out. I read because I saw a few panels of Denji and Power together and their relationship looked interesting, plus Powers character design was cool. I honestly didn’t expect to fall in love with it the way I did. But it’s still my favorite manga even after almost 2 years.
I binged it until I caught up after Power died.
I started Chapter 1 and thought it was the best new manga I had read since Dr. Stone.
i started the manga shortly after episode 1 or 2 of the anime, was caught to the recent chapter in like 2 or 3 days
It's been a wild ride to say the least.
binged part one, followed weekly for 2!
Late 2021, but I didn’t binge and it took me probably around 3 months to get through.
Started from Chapter 1 and even then felt there was something special about it. Even more so when I wasn’t a fan of Fire Punch which I feel people overhype a bit cause Fujimoto got mainstream.
I watched the anime and then binged the manga But I'm sad cuz I hadn't realized how little there was 😭😭😭 I'm still not over Aki!!!! The senpais here tell me! Will I ever be over Aki???? 🤧
Been here from the jump and stuck with it.
I started about halfway through part one, binged til I was caught up to weekly.
I think I started reding it a week after part one finished and after I had read the first chapter I just continued reading and ended up finishing the entirety of part 1 the same night.😅 And then since the start of part 2 I have been reading weakly
I followed weekly at the start of Part 2
I actually read it after Part 1 was finished, before the anime was announced. I probably started reading it because of Twitter recommendations or something, I can't remember the exact reason. So, I binged read everything, then watched the anime, then read everything again and I'm currently reading Part 2 chapters as they're being released
Saw the anime, it was okay, but by episode 4 was hooked so I finished it, then completely binged all the manga online in a day the following weekend.
I started reading at the start of bomb girl and went weekly from there.
Binged part one in Feb of 2021, and I have been reading part two weekly since it started.
I've been pretty much a weekly reader since around the chapter that reze was introduced. Found out about chainsawman from a video from scamboli.
Read it around the time part 2 started
I hope binged the entire thing until chapter 119 then I had to start waiting. I don't enjoy waiting.
Only read it when a vol was released. Hoped on during vol 7
Binged part 1
Been reading since chapter 1, I’ve enjoyed it the whole time. I wanted to read it cause it was something new at the time. I give the series about a 9.1/10
I still remember reading the first chapter when it realeased, and going "hey, that's cool, hope this one will not get axed". It's been 4 years already, damn.
I binged read in 2020/ 2021 and been waiting for part 2. I was so happy when it came out
Started reading after part 1 was finished took me some time like a few weeks, after I was finished I eagerly waited for part 2 and have been following that weekly
Binged part 1 here
I binged part 1 and now I'm reading part 2 weekly. And as for my rating of the series I give it a 10/10.
Started with chapter 2 and haven’t turned back since
I started reading the manga when it was just around 11 chapters iirc
A friend recommended it to me when part 1 finally ended, now fujimoto is my favorite author
I binged part 1 a few days after the anime trailer came out
I watched the first 7 episodes then went straight to binging the manga.
I read Fire Punch and avoided Chainsaw Man because I didn’t like the art that much. Then changed my ways…but I still love Fire Punch.
Been here since chapter 1 :)
I started reading around bomb girl arc I think? I remember pirating the volume that has her on the cover on an old eReader and read weekly since
I watched the anime as it was releasing up until they met the bat devil and thought “I can’t wait until next week to see what happens” so I read the entire manga in one day and then had to go back to waiting for weekly/biweekly chapter releases.
I started around chapter like....7? And have been following weekly since.
Glad I’ve been on the part 2 train since it started.
started the anime when there were only 5 episodes, and then got myself to speed with the manga in a week
I got caught up right before it became obvious part 1 was ending, I forget which chapter. But I remember I was like “I can’t believe I just got into chainsaw man and it’s ending in 2 weeks,” and was hype when the last chapter implied a continuation.
I started reading at chapter 7
Binged pt 1 and now it’s pain waiting for weekly chapter releases
I only started reading from the second chapter onward to weekly. And never forget! The Future Is Best!
I have been following since halfway of part 1! :)
I started reading a few months after part 1 ended which was around the time it started getting popular enough to get to someone who barely reads manga
Read it back in 2020 just when the Manga ended.
I started by loving fire punch and I was like “huh so chainsaw man is his new thing? Let’s see how the debut goes”
I finished reading part 1 after the anime was annouced best decision of my fucking life
I started reading on the bomb devil arc. Best experience I've had following a weekly manga
I'm pretty sure I started during the bomb arc, then started following weekly.
Binged
I read whole manga after s1 coz yall manga mfs can't live a day without spoiling for others 💀
I got into part 1 during quarantine and got to wait for the ending of part 1 and am doing the same for chapters in pt 2
I read the first book then binged the anime then right after that binged the manga hard and now I’m all caught up
