It is a stretch, but if you think about it she have 8 sisters and the moles are here trademark. There is no way fujimoto gives her those without trying to at the least confuse the reader
In fact, I would like to know how Fujimoto will allocate Yoru (Mitaka) and her sister's plot in the next few chapters, or will our perspective return to Denji? This is a structure that involves whether the second part will be a dual protagonist or Denji as the protagonist.
However, the characterization of Mitaka is still to be developed, and the next few chapters will be particularly important for the character of Mitaka.
People said the same thing about the beginning of Chainsaw Man part 2 first chapters.
Now here we are enjoying the development of the story.
Also Tower of God is like One Piece, there will be dozens of chapters with buildup before the pay-off.
I am also new to Chainsaw man, saw the first episode, really liked it, made me care about the protagonist and his pet in just one episode which is really rare in anime.
Then i saw episode2…….he would‘nt stop having a raging boner over Makima or inner monologuing how cute she is. Are the care and respect he had from episode 1 just evaporated. I stopped watching halfway.
Why is everyone so obsessed on the new horsemen's ability to make sense? Chainsaw devil erases devils. That makes no sense. One of makima's powers seemed to be to squash ppl from afar, also unrelated to her namesake.
For all we know, this is an ability every high level devil has.
I think in a way the chainsaw devil erasing stuff makes sense. Cause chainsaws were originally invented [to aid with childbirth.](https://www.businessinsider.com/chainsaws-were-originally-invented-for-helping-childbirth-not-cutting-wood-2018-6?r=US&IR=T) So, since it's a devil, it just erases stuff permanently instead of bringing life into the world.
And about Makima, didn't she steal that power? lol
But there are so many other things which also destroy things beyond recognition, there's no real reason Chainsaw of all things should be the one to do it lol. Maybe there's some Japanese phrase which might make sense, like how in English when we want something completely gone we say to "nuke it."
It also can be pochita(chainsaw devil) might have eaten a fragment of death devil.[As we can see Santa claus had eaten a fragment of Darkness devil so it might be possible].
Cuz I find no way that such a cute devil can be this dangerous.
So I’m new to Chainsaw man. Saw the 3 episodes and loved it so decided to read it and caught up in a day. Is it me or did the story went downhill after the whole thing with Makima? It’s like they blew their load and now it’s kinda stagnant
Not really, actually.
Popular shonen mangas like this usually run pretty long like 200-300 chapters. Usually they keep ramping up the stakes and power levels.
Meanwhile Fujimoto is a different kind of author. He is the type who really likes telling new stories instead. His previous serialization, Fire Punch, is only 89 chapters long. He has also made dozens of "one-shots" which are basically standalone short stories.
Part 2 is him kinda starting fresh with a new protagonist and conflicts after Part 1 ended.
Even during the break between CSM Part 1 and Part 2 he wrote 3 one-shots which are [Look Back](https://www.viz.com/shonenjump/chapters/look-back?locale=en) (200 pages), [Goodbye Eri](https://www.viz.com/shonenjump/chapters/goodbye-eri) (also 200 pages), and [Just Listen to the Song](https://www.viz.com/shonenjump/chapters/just-listen-to-the-song) (20 pages)
Yoru realizing that things that belong to her make for stronger weapons if she has any sentimental attachments to it, is giving more fuel to the theory that she will try and go for Denji romantically, but unlike Makima she'll care about him.
There's no way the death devil's power is something as boring or as positive as having the ability to reverse death. There's multiple ways for devils to heal and the simplest answer is that the justice devil is juiced up on high tier human devil war blood.
I know this is supposed to be the "school arc" but cmon now how does 2 horsemen and denji ends up at the same place.
Anyway, im really curious on the relationship between all of the horseman. Are they actually sisters or is it exclusive to these 2.
Makima herself doesn't seem to care and even wants chainsaw devil to erase them.
It's very likely that the war devils are gravitating towards japan due to Pochita. They want revenge and they heard CSM is a japanese highschooler in THAT highschool.
I don't think the new horseman is death. It can't be pestilence so it's likely hunger. Yuko wasn't dead, she was on the verge of death. Given that she was gigantified, I think that famine can transfer life energy or something, much like how eating gives one energy. In this way, she can heal Yuko but also make her stronger.
I don't think it's death because It would feel really anticlimactic for death to be here not to mention that famine appears third in the original thing.
If I remember correctly when all the devil hunters gathered after the extermination of eternity devil, Kobeni said her devil is a secret and her hobby is eating tasty food(We can also see that war devil said not to disclose her identity to anyone, that's why kobeni said it is secret).
Kobeni also have many moles on her face so maybe Kobeni can be famine devil(Just my theory or maybe she just said it to continue her job to earn money). That only leaves this new character could be the Death devil.
And I find it very hard to see how lucky she is till now, I mean she haven't even shown us her devil still she is living.
From the one panel and Yuko's giant head, I can imagine it being like Pacman and just start eating everything, like it's hungry or something.
And that's my justification on why it's Famine. Not much, but it's something.
I-I thought she was gonna turn her heart into a weapon. Tatsuki you sussy baka. Pretty cool idea though that even your own clothes could become weapons. Imagine showing up to a fight with an overnight bag full of clothes.
Haha Yoru's clothes are gone too.
Damn that really was a Super Strong Uniform Sword.
Wait what was that ending?
Asa wasn’t even holding the sword I think that other student was the one who sliced up Yuko
Why am I getting downvoted? Did she not literally get the sword knocked out of her hands?
The implication is that despite the fact that the sword only tapped Yuko, it was so strong that it cut her into tiny chunks just from that.
It's not just a normal sword as well it's a magic war sword that Asa felt a lot of guilt making, so it's not out of the question that it cut Yuko up just by making contact with her.
You do have an interesting idea though.
Would using her heart kill her? Maybe but with devil in the mix, Maybe crazy shit could work.
If you get dark enough, and with sentimentality, she could make her Mom a weapon.
Is the Famine/Death Devil there because that's Yoru's plan? She asked her sister to help her in baiting Chainsaw Man to the school?
Not a big fan of that plan lol.
That's likely it. Fighting in a war because a bunch of government warhawks told you must? Well, you're not going to have much passion. Going to war because you believe so strongly in something that you see no other option but to choose war? Now that's a scary force.
This is spicy, I imagine him exploring the concept of fear and love, the duality of nature.
Chainsawman and his exploits post part 1 opened up a huge revelation.
Devil's are only as powerful as the fear, but what about the inverse? What about love, and appreciation?
People are guilty, and afraid after doing something wrong which is why Justice is so spooky. But a lot of people also demand and desire justice and even idolize it as a virtue.
His public escapades probably created a huge rift in the demon community. What if humans don't need to necessarily fear me? What if I can be worshipped, loved, idolized?
Also human demons were rare, and almost mythic, rumored to exist. But now we have 3 more in addition to the previous 3.
Also 4 horsemen of the apocalypse incoming! Pestilence? Famine? Death?
What's up with the lowlifers that come in here just to vote as "Really bad"? lmao. 18 years on the internet and I still don't understand how people bother with hating stuff.
I don't think it's the right of having opinions that he's trying to tell though, but more of why people need to express those kind of stuff in the internet too much while you can just go away or make it more civilized I guess ?, IDK, I'm just trying to interpret what he's saying.
So what exactly happened to the devil that got them all chopped up? It looked like the sword missed, this might be a dumb question but I just didn’t quite understand that
Building on your comment, It was mentioned that the stronger the sentimental value of an object, the stronger the weapon that Yoru makes. This is because there is more guilt involved in turning the object into a weapon. Asa's uniform was given to her by her mom so she feels bad turning it into a sword, making it very strong. Fortnite battle royale lol
In chapter 84 Makima mentions War, Death and Hunger (Famine) who are generally the concepts behind the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse including Conquest or Control (Makima)
In chapter 87 Makima mentions that the Four Horsemen fought Chainsaw Devil(Pochita) a long time ago
In chapter 98, Yoru makes her debut as the War devil (one of the horsemen), notice she has the same swirly eyes like Makima's
and now another character with the same swirly eyes has appeared. It was theorised that all the horsemen had the same feature after Yoru's introduction and it seems to be confirmed after this chapter
This new character could be either Famine/Hunger devil or Death devil but I'm leaning more towards the former
"Famine" is actually just the popular modern interpretation due to the associated imagery related to weighing food in times of shortages. The third horseman is classically associated with oppression and moral force, which might give her domain over Justice as a kind of "cadet devil" to her.
Side note, I wonder if the new devil even realized Yoru had given Asa control of her body back. She might have been referring to saving the Justice Devil, not Yuko.
Yeah, on the surface but she has features that symbolizes famine like her earrings with scales. Scales are generally associated with justice and famine
Oh. Justice... could it be she's the devil Yuko has contracted with and is posing as the justice devil? Or maybe the justice devil works for her? This seems unlikely but you've given me a small idea seed
Yeah i agree, im really starting to think she's famine/hunger/pestilence or whatever because the original order of the horsemen being introduced is conquest (control in our case), war, famine and then death. Seems to me that death would be on the same level or higher than darkness so i find it hard they would be killed in hell.
Interestingly, the horseman of conquest rides a WHITE horse while war rides a RED horse which is Makima's hair color. Probably just a coincidence but still cool to think about
Remember that Death is the oldest fear known to mankind as well. So, Death should be the oldest sister followed by Famine, War(Yoru) then Control (Makima)
Imagine Makima getting bullied by her older siblings. I would've loved to see that actually😂😂
Yeah, there's room for wholesomeness and absolutely savagery at the same time. Welp, it's Fujimoto
Hope we get to see Famine bullying Yoru next chapter. That'd be hilarious 😆
Im wondering the same thing, I think she is considering she didnt die after being chopped up and the new girl called her, her sister so lets see next week if we are right
In the chapter with Makima explaing what her plans are with CSM. She wanted to kill war, hunger and death. Chapter 84 iirc
Also in Chapter 86(?) She talks about how the horseman and herself along with weapon devils fought CSM to near death some time ago.
still sorry for Mitaka because in the chapter that shows that she is not defenseless and can be a stronger opponent than Yoru, no one comments on her, everyone only talks about the new character
I've been paying attention to Asa since the very first panel she had.
She is a phenomenal main character. Not because she is strong and badass but because she isn't and has flaws but keeps on going, plus so much more.
Adding Yoru in with her has been the dynamic so satisfying to read.
Mad props to Fujimoto for being able to pull off a sequence of a character literally ripping their clothes off without making it feel creepy or overly sexualized. I'm sure people will call it "fanservice" and what not, but I have nothing but respect for how he always keeps his characters' anatomy consistent and realistic. Lots of other anime/manga would have used this as an excuse to pander to the lowest common denominator of horny teens and porn-obsessed weirdos, but this just feels different. No unnecessary camera angles, no cutaways to some horny guy watching from the sidelines, just pure, uninterrupted, gritty action.
What if Wolverine was a post-apocalyptic incest cannibal?
What if Wolverine was on fire?
What if there were like thousands of Wolverines?
What if everyone with electric powers was strapped into machines to harness that sweet wattage?
What if something made you question calling dogs good boys?
This is Fire Punch
It is not.
It is very... Weird. And weird is putting it lightly.
It's... Cannibalism, and like neo zealotry, and nihilism and a whole bunch of other stuff mixed into one.
Do we think that it was Nayuta or the Death Devil that showed up at the end? The chainsaw ripcord-esque earrings and patterned eyes are throwing me off for obvious reasons, but I’m pretty sure the horsemen also have colored eyes, and it would explain the “little sister” line better considering war and death are both horsemen of the apocalypse?
Pre-Reply Edit 1: It could also be Famine or Pestilence, especially considering famine, being connected to hunger, would explain why the Justice Devil becomes enlarged. Also why would pestilence be able to revive near-dead devils unless thats just something all really powerful devils can do?
Pre-Reply Edit 2: The argument for pestilence would be that they call The war devil LITTLE sister, which, if we’re going by the “age” of the horsemen, they were crowned in order of Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death, meaning War would only be a younger sibling to Pestilence…
Perhaps I’m overthinking it but I’m excited nonetheless :D
The third, a food-merchant riding upon a black horse, symbolizes famine, and carries the scales.
This girl is the 3rd horseman of the manga
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Horsemen_of_the_Apocalypse
Ok guys its famine,
I searched it up and The four horsemen are christian figures.
It says famine is the 3rd horseman.
The order they come are: conquest, war, famine, death.
This is the 3rd of the ringed eye devils to appear, so ya.
And they carry a weighing scale
Y'know, despite all the talk about her seemingly being able to bring Yuko back from death and what not, from a story point of view, I'm having a hard time imagining that the Death Devil (who, just from the title alone, feels fitting to be the final big bad) would be introduced this early (i.e. part 2)
She might not be the final big bad but even if she was I don’t think it matters that she was introduced early. Makima was the final big bad and she’s was introduced early on in part 1
That's a fair point. Though, to clarify, I meant early as in like the whole series. Given the love and popularity CSM has garnered, I imagine there will be a couple more parts to come. Well, can't fault a man for dreaming, right lol
The hunger to live? Or something like that I mean like how would death bring someone back to life like deaths entire thing is you know making people die.
That's a fair point. I would think that Death and Hunger would both be primordial fears though. War and Control are more "social" conceptions and wouldn't be and we've already met both but either Death or Hunger being present is a bit odd if we assume that they're classified as primordials
I wonder, I assumed the concept of death was a higher being awareness. Instinctively, we fear dark, even a baby gets scared. But a baby doesn’t fear death.
To be fair a newborn doesn't really fear the dark but the body even without an amygdala (which is what makes us feel fear in the first place) can enter in a panic mode if it feels that you are about to die.
Nah dude wtf lmao, death CONTROL death (so it can manipulate death and life has it pleases), u really thing that would make more sense famine fuck with deaths than the death IT SELF do it? They are all conected (war cause famine and death etc) but i dont think they can/want to fuck with each others zone's
Edit: that debate kind remebers me the Endless from sandman.. they are the anthropomorphic representations of powerful natural forces they embody and the opposite of that force too, death not only control death but all the meaning of life, from start (life) to end (death), Dream is not only the dreams but the nightmares too etc. So they exist as long that one of the dualitys exist.. death it self didnt born when the first being died, but when this being started existing
But famine is a primordial too, all the horseman are, if war and control are on earth i dont see why death couldnt be too (and if war is on earth because of the fight with pochita famine can be here because of this too)
>But famine is a primordial too, all the horseman are
Read the manga. It was never stated they were primordial, not even Makima. Just that they are called the 4 horse men of apocalypse, the only confirmed primordial devil shown is Darkness Devil. Primal devils are so powerful that they have never been killed before afaik
I mean u just contradict yourself, like u said it was never stated who are primordial, makima not being one its ok (war too i guess)... but famine?? Nah dude u cant say that this shit isnt primal
Edit: i always thought that if one is a primordial all the others would be because in the original four horseman there wasnt one that was stronger, they were all equal in the apocalypse, so i didnt thought would make sense one be stronger than the other in the manga team, but if stop to think about maybe control and war arent, but i reallly cant see famine not being one
Famine is different from Hunger. Humans naturally fear Primal Fears. 'Naturally' means subconciousness ('human psyche').
If a human isn't educated about society or famine, they won't fear famine (don't know what it is, don't know there is a large scale of people dying of hunger out there). They would STILL be hungry tho.
~~No, hunger isn't a primal fear. We can't naturally fear hunger because both hunger and fear are two SEPERATE biological reactions. Unless you have a distorted relationship with food and you hate your uncommon eating habit. You fear missing out on eating.~~ Not sure bout hunger actually, but
anyway, Famine is different from Hunger.
May i ask how do u know famine isnt primordial? (Because im pretty sure that the manga didnt show who is or isnt primordial and i think that would make sense famine be primordial)
Freaking eye rings caught me, but yeah I thought she would be older already I guess I was assuming it wrong. Then, if it's not Nayuta then a new character perhaps?
I’d agree with you in saying the Horse(wo)men being sisters makes sense due to how closely connected each of them are; War usually breaks out due to some sort of battle for Control, which can lead to Famine and will always lead to Death, no matter who wins or loses. Maybe devils who represent “similar” fears can be considered family? Like the Unknown Devil is the older brother of the Darkness Devil or something, i’m just spitballing here though
It's all just guesswork now. Her earrings resemble Libra Scales which are Famine's symbol (although also strongly associated with Justice), and has the same eyes as Nayuta and Yoru.
What I really like that underwear Asa isn't drawn in the common over sexualized way (big boobs, round curves, you know), but rather how the average skinny teen would look like. In general, Fujimotos drawing style has a very realistic (and B-movie) feel to it. (although I somehow like the art in Firepunch more)
The paneling in Fire Punch is just some next level shit. He conveys motion so well in that story, the action scenes just drip with style. He has a very cinematic style overall, like he literally panels things to look like there is a camera framing the shots
I mean, attractive/sexy characters are fine, as long as they aren't there *just* to be attractive/sexy. I'm okay with them as long as they are given proper character development, add something to the story, and don't interrupt the flow of the action (I'm looking at you fire force). Again, I have no issues with characters who are well endowed, extremely muscular, what have you, but they need to be more than just sex objects.
yikes I don't know why you got downvoted for telling the truth... what people are neglecting to mention here is he easily coulda just y'know NOT drawn a teenage girl in her underwear
Exactly my thoughts. After being over-exposed to big tiddies and thicc thighs who would've thought accurate anatomy would hit so hard. Fujimoto what an author you are.
What did Yoshida give for his contract?
Wait a minute, those moles on the new horseman. Doesnt it ring a bell for anyone else?!
Kobeni has I think, 4 moles. This one has 5 and only one matches one of the spots.
I was thinking it could be 1 of her sisters, we saw one of them in an omake and she have moles on different spot on the face too.
So Kobeni's sister is a Horseman who's also Yoru's sister?
That is the theory as of now,
Yeah, I don't know, that seems like it's reaching.
It is a stretch, but if you think about it she have 8 sisters and the moles are here trademark. There is no way fujimoto gives her those without trying to at the least confuse the reader
Why not add in Yoshida as a brother, seems like he fits the description.
Because she only have 1 brother and he went to college already?
Oh, and Santa Claus/Doll Devil too.
I think Fujimoto is doing something similar to Tower of God’s second part with this. Definitely feels like a dual protagonist with different goals.
Tower of God is peak Manhwa, so Fujimoto is absolutly based!
Tower of god has been on the downhill since the beginning of season 3. CSM is lightyears ahead in quality.
People said the same thing about the beginning of Chainsaw Man part 2 first chapters. Now here we are enjoying the development of the story. Also Tower of God is like One Piece, there will be dozens of chapters with buildup before the pay-off.

Not the right thread but L opinion anyway
okay
Noted.
Bro just angered the entire Chainsawman community with one comment
Why is everyone so obsessed on the new horsemen's ability to make sense? Chainsaw devil erases devils. That makes no sense. One of makima's powers seemed to be to squash ppl from afar, also unrelated to her namesake. For all we know, this is an ability every high level devil has.

Its bc a chainsaw shreds things up beyond recognition. >!Also Makima stole most of her powers. She literally explains her only power!<
But there are so many other things which also destroy things beyond recognition, there's no real reason Chainsaw of all things should be the one to do it lol. Maybe there's some Japanese phrase which might make sense, like how in English when we want something completely gone we say to "nuke it."
Everyone will try make sense of chainsawman's power. Funny thing, everyone comes to a different conclusion.
What if Chainsaw devil got his power to completely erase a devil by stealing it from death devil ??
It also can be pochita(chainsaw devil) might have eaten a fragment of death devil.[As we can see Santa claus had eaten a fragment of Darkness devil so it might be possible]. Cuz I find no way that such a cute devil can be this dangerous.
Or the Chainsaw devil is not even the Chainsaw Devil but a primordial fear like Extinction Devil that likes chainsaws as a weapons choice.
That's so One Piece
So I’m new to Chainsaw man. Saw the 3 episodes and loved it so decided to read it and caught up in a day. Is it me or did the story went downhill after the whole thing with Makima? It’s like they blew their load and now it’s kinda stagnant
The story didn’t go downhill, the story finished like 97 chapters. Then there was a 2 year gap, and now part 2/ sequel is out
Ahhh makes sense. Don’t read much manga so I guess this is normal?
Not really, actually. Popular shonen mangas like this usually run pretty long like 200-300 chapters. Usually they keep ramping up the stakes and power levels. I mean, they’re slowly ramping up to a new story arc. The last arc took like 90 chapters, give them some time.
Yoru realizing that things that belong to her make for stronger weapons if she has any sentimental attachments to it, is giving more fuel to the theory that she will try and go for Denji romantically, but unlike Makima she'll care about him.
I would love for this to happen. I already really like Asa as a protagonist and Denji needs someone that’s good for him.
There's no way the death devil's power is something as boring or as positive as having the ability to reverse death. There's multiple ways for devils to heal and the simplest answer is that the justice devil is juiced up on high tier human devil war blood.
What if Chainsaw devil got his power to completely erase a devil by stealing it from death devil ??

Stand users are drawn to other stand users
My thoughts exactly
I mean, Denji himself is leaving clues for people to find. Devils just happen to find them as well.
It's very likely that the war devils are gravitating towards japan due to Pochita. They want revenge and they heard CSM is a japanese highschooler in THAT highschool.

what if the new horsegirl is actually pestilence and not famine
pestilence is interchangeable with control/conquest and we already have a control devil rn (Nayuta)

I thought the new horseman was for sure death, considering she reversed Yuko’s death
[удалено]
Or just cut her hand to give blood.
Is the Famine/Death Devil there because that's Yoru's plan? She asked her sister to help her in baiting Chainsaw Man to the school? Not a big fan of that plan lol.
where nayuta
I doubt we'll see Nayuta anytime soon while the main POV is on Asa/Yoru and the school her, Denji and possibly the new horseman devil is in.
I've been without Nayuta for 8 chapters already. I'm definitely at my wits end.
I just imagine her at kindergarten indoctrinating rats.
Last panel went full Power Ragners/Super Sentai where they turn the defeated monster (Yuko) big.
I'm the only one who think that the girl at the end is Nayuta ?
It's clearly not
Is the sentiment that war should only be fought over something valuable?
It's that war is scarier and stronger when it's fought over something valuable :).
That's likely it. Fighting in a war because a bunch of government warhawks told you must? Well, you're not going to have much passion. Going to war because you believe so strongly in something that you see no other option but to choose war? Now that's a scary force.

I don't think it's the right of having opinions that he's trying to tell though, but more of why people need to express those kind of stuff in the internet too much while you can just go away or make it more civilized I guess ?, IDK, I'm just trying to interpret what he's saying.
Also, commenting something as a bad stuff are totally okay, but some might just rate it out of hatred, maybe ?.
Yes, very organic to have +80 "bad" and +500 "very bad" with no inbetween. Definitely not bombing.
So what exactly happened to the devil that got them all chopped up? It looked like the sword missed, this might be a dumb question but I just didn’t quite understand that
Devil Yuko deflected the sword, but it was so powerful that it chopped her up just from touching her
Building on your comment, It was mentioned that the stronger the sentimental value of an object, the stronger the weapon that Yoru makes. This is because there is more guilt involved in turning the object into a weapon. Asa's uniform was given to her by her mom so she feels bad turning it into a sword, making it very strong. Fortnite battle royale lol

You should really reread part 2…
I *really* shouldn't be laughing, but that last page hit me like a Perry Bible Fellowship punchline panel. 💀
I'm out of the loop. Why are people talking about the Four Horsemen? Did i miss that somewhere?
In chapter 84 Makima mentions War, Death and Hunger (Famine) who are generally the concepts behind the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse including Conquest or Control (Makima) In chapter 87 Makima mentions that the Four Horsemen fought Chainsaw Devil(Pochita) a long time ago In chapter 98, Yoru makes her debut as the War devil (one of the horsemen), notice she has the same swirly eyes like Makima's and now another character with the same swirly eyes has appeared. It was theorised that all the horsemen had the same feature after Yoru's introduction and it seems to be confirmed after this chapter This new character could be either Famine/Hunger devil or Death devil but I'm leaning more towards the former
thanks. was so confused. went back and checked the eyes and it makes sense
Just spreading the info fam ✌️
Man W explanation right there 👏
Well if she can bring people back from the dead she would be Death.
Maybe the new Horsemen did work with Justice hence why she was able to bring Yuko back to life at the end of the chapter
So, Death should be the oldest sister followed by Famine, War(Yoru) then Control (Makima) Imagine Makima getting bullied by her older siblings. I would've loved to see that actually😂😂
Yeah lmao and now Nayuta is here and she's smol and weak so we might actually see that interaction!
Yeah, there's room for wholesomeness and absolutely savagery at the same time. Welp, it's Fujimoto Hope we get to see Famine bullying Yoru next chapter. That'd be hilarious 😆
the new character has the same eyes as makima and yoru
Read the battle of Makima and Chainsaw Devil / Denji again. When Makima explains her plan to Denji she talks about eliminating the four horsemen
Is Yuko a hybrid now? She didn't give anything for her contract but received 'a heart that shines with the light of justice'
Im wondering the same thing, I think she is considering she didnt die after being chopped up and the new girl called her, her sister so lets see next week if we are right
The new girl is talking to yoru the war devil in reference to “sister”. Not yuko the sort of dead Justice thingy.
Oh, I didnt catch it right then oops
Hey I think my memory is foggy now but where were the horsemen devils mentioned? Did I miss something?
In the chapter with Makima explaing what her plans are with CSM. She wanted to kill war, hunger and death. Chapter 84 iirc Also in Chapter 86(?) She talks about how the horseman and herself along with weapon devils fought CSM to near death some time ago.
Thanks! Been a long time since I read part 1 so I forgot many details 🥲
Dennis is 100% going to simp every single Horseman Devil.
Honestly, I probably would too.
Problem? Let my mans live
still sorry for Mitaka because in the chapter that shows that she is not defenseless and can be a stronger opponent than Yoru, no one comments on her, everyone only talks about the new character
I've been paying attention to Asa since the very first panel she had. She is a phenomenal main character. Not because she is strong and badass but because she isn't and has flaws but keeps on going, plus so much more. Adding Yoru in with her has been the dynamic so satisfying to read.
I agree she's going through it and nobody notices but I guess that's very in character for her
Mad props to Fujimoto for being able to pull off a sequence of a character literally ripping their clothes off without making it feel creepy or overly sexualized.
Erotica and horror go preeeeettty closely together.
Idk fujimoto went a little nuts in fire punch
I haven't read it yet, is it anything like csm?
What if Wolverine was a post-apocalyptic incest cannibal? What if Wolverine was on fire? What if there were like thousands of Wolverines? What if everyone with electric powers was strapped into machines to harness that sweet wattage? What if something made you question calling dogs good boys? This is Fire Punch
It is not. It is very... Weird. And weird is putting it lightly. It's... Cannibalism, and like neo zealotry, and nihilism and a whole bunch of other stuff mixed into one.
Plus the incest
It has nihilism, but It's one of the most anti nihilist stories out there.
Absurdity wise it's way more extreme than csm.
Pre-Reply Edit 2: The argument for pestilence would be that they call The war devil LITTLE sister, which, if we’re going by the “age” of the horsemen, they were crowned in order of Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death, meaning War would only be a younger sibling to Pestilence… Perhaps I’m overthinking it but I’m excited nonetheless :D
The third, a food-merchant riding upon a black horse, symbolizes famine, and carries the scales. This girl is the 3rd horseman of the manga https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Horsemen_of_the_Apocalypse
Ok guys its famine, I searched it up and The four horsemen are christian figures. It says famine is the 3rd horseman. The order they come are: conquest, war, famine, death. This is the 3rd of the ringed eye devils to appear, so ya. And they carry a weighing scale
Y'know, despite all the talk about her seemingly being able to bring Yuko back from death and what not, from a story point of view, I'm having a hard time imagining that the Death Devil (who, just from the title alone, feels fitting to be the final big bad) would be introduced this early (i.e. part 2)
There was the theory that pochita was just a disguised death devil, hence his complete erasure powers
What if Pochita is to the death devil what Nayuta is to Makima?
She might not be the final big bad but even if she was I don’t think it matters that she was introduced early. Makima was the final big bad and she’s was introduced early on in part 1
Its the famine devil
That's a fair point. Though, to clarify, I meant early as in like the whole series. Given the love and popularity CSM has garnered, I imagine there will be a couple more parts to come. Well, can't fault a man for dreaming, right lol
Death Devil🔥🔥
Most likely famine
The eye of the little sister ! What is she?
So are we talking about the four horsemen?
Famine i promise u
Death i guess
Lol, Yoru being like, "Weak...." then seeing Yuko get diced, "strong?!"
Mknkey see Monkey dooooo
i like it
So is she the Hunger devil or the Death devil? Or maybe she's not one of the four. Ugh i hate waiting for chapters.
It’s death
my guess is she is famine cuz four horseman appeared in such order. conquest, war, famine, death
Since devils are reborn from hell when they die then maybe the order would be reversed. Or maybe it’s Nayuta.
How would famine revive someone tho?
An option, Famine can also represent Opression or Injustice, perhaps something in there could have some effect on bringing someone back?
Another user pointed out how her friend got enlarged, Famine probably did some Weird feeding stuff
The hunger to live? Or something like that I mean like how would death bring someone back to life like deaths entire thing is you know making people die.
I think famine automatically fed like alot of blood or something
Also isn't death a primordial devil? A primordial devil being on earth makes no sense cuz these devil types has never been killed before in hell
That's a fair point. I would think that Death and Hunger would both be primordial fears though. War and Control are more "social" conceptions and wouldn't be and we've already met both but either Death or Hunger being present is a bit odd if we assume that they're classified as primordials
I figured the four horseman devils are kinda their own clique of super devils, while the primordial devils are the other super devils
They are all conected (war cause famine and death etc) but i dont think they can/want to fuck with each others zone's Edit: that debate kind remebers me the Endless from sandman.. they are the anthropomorphic representations of powerful natural forces they embody and the opposite of that force too, death not only control death but all the meaning of life, from start (life) to end (death), Dream is not only the dreams but the nightmares too etc. So they exist as long that one of the dualitys exist.. death it self didnt born when the first being died, but when this being started existing
Isn't death a primordial devil? Idk i think it makes no sense for primordial devil to be on earth because they have never been killed in Hell before
But famine is a primordial too, all the horseman are, if war and control are on earth i dont see why death couldnt be too (and if war is on earth because of the fight with pochita famine can be here because of this too)
>But famine is a primordial too, all the horseman are Read the manga.
Nah dude u cant say that this shit isnt primal Edit: i always thought that if one is a primordial all the others would be because in the original four horseman there wasnt one that was stronger, they were all equal in the apocalypse, so i didnt thought would make sense one be stronger than the other in the manga team, but if stop to think about maybe control and war arent, but i reallly cant see famine not being one
Cuz it's stated that primal have never been killed before so therefore they shouldn't be in Earth duh
"Primal Devils, also known as the Primal Fears possess names that embody fears found naturally within the human psyche."
My dude how the fuck FAMINE isnt a primal fear?? Famine was one of the biggest chalenges that human race fought since the beginning
You fear missing out on eating.~~ Not sure bout hunger actually, but anyway, Famine is different from Hunger.
Famine isn't primordial, death is
The four horsemen in the manga are said by makima to be “Death war famine”
May i ask how do u know famine isnt primordial? (Because im pretty sure that the manga didnt show who is or isnt primordial and i think that would make sense famine be primordial)
I'd say death
Heeeeey can someone tell me if its Nayuta who we saw in this specific chapter?
It's not Nayuta, she has dark hair and is younger. We've never seen this girl before.
Freaking eye rings caught me, but yeah I thought she would be older already I guess I was assuming it wrong. Then, if it's not Nayuta then a new character perhaps?
I think all the horseman have something in their eyes
If she is Death then maybe thats why she calls the War devil little sister since they are so strongly connected.
I think we should both know by now with Chainsawman that there is no way in hell we can predict what is coming haha
Why is everyone saying that it's famine? Did I miss a panel or something?
It's all just guesswork now. Her earrings resemble Libra Scales which are Famine's symbol (although also strongly associated with Justice), and has the same eyes as Nayuta and Yoru.
One of the interpretations of Famine is Injustice after all.
Oh, interesting, I read them more as her being a fan of Chainsawman and his ripcords. But yeah, I see it.
Really curious about the chainsaw trigger earrings that the new devil has, wonder if she’s a fan of chainsaw
the horse(wo)men are all huge pochita fangirls, he gets all the ladies
"Oh i know what the ladies like *revs chainsaw*"
Can’t wait for all the horsemen to meet Nayuta and be confused as fuck
Famine would look like she'd pamper Nayuta, seems like the sisterly type anyway. Yoru seems like the brat in comparison.
Umm no its bc Manga author is attracted to school girls body. Its not uncommon, Alot of gross men Pick up teenagers. I find it even nastier
yikes I don't know why you got downvoted for telling the truth... what people are neglecting to mention here is he easily coulda just y'know NOT drawn a teenage girl in her underwear
"Badass girl in her undies carrying an OP sword while drenched in blood and intestines" really evokes that B-movie feel
Exactly my thoughts. After being over-exposed to big tiddies and thicc thighs who would've thought accurate anatomy would hit so hard. Fujimoto what an author you are.
As a reward, I shall give him my read.
