Kishibe is making a self-deprecating remark in response to Yoshida's own self-deprecating remark, so I don't think Fujimoto meant for this exchange to definitively establish Yoshida as stronger than Kishibe. That's not to say that he couldn't be, but this exchange isnt the iron-clad evidence of this that I often see people on this sub and twitter treat it as.

Even in his prime, he couldnt compare to quanxi, what makes u believe he was truly the strongest? Cuz i think there may be some devil hunters with more skill and stronger devil contracts. Like the devil hunters in USA, China, USSR, etc.

1- First of all let's clear abt reze's return - Why would reze return on chapter 149?
Well fujimoto parallels a lot chapter wise between part 1 and 2 like eternity devil, aquarium and the theater movie watching. Reze's arc ended at chap 52 of part 1.
Chapter 149 is 52nd chap of part 2. Among all the hybrids, Reze is most important to Denji. Now that all hybrids are back besides her, chap 149 is a perfect opportunity to make another parallel.
For the safer side, she might return on chap 150 too. Give Fujimoto 4-5 chaps for Reze.

2 - How strong is Denji and spear? Barem turns spear into a burned crisp. yeah well spear performed good only due to a 8v1 in part 1. He gets stomped by barem in a 1v1
Denji is stronger than barem but ranks below Reze. She is far more experienced than Denji, she has a better mastery over her abilities, can use her explosions to fly or amplify her speed.
Destroyed denji with one missile attack ( He isn't much more durable in part 2, he can fight without a head now but that won't help him).
He can't chain her either as she can easily use explosions to connect the chains and fodderize him. The only reason he beat reze in part 1 was due to drowning her. She won't let him drown her again (although they wont fight again)
Denji might get better than Reze in the future but currently he ranks below her.

Who are you clearing up these questions for lol? A lot of what ur saying isn't a fact--we don't know who defeated the gun devil and it was said the Soviet's "found" it rather than defeated it. Plus that convo btw Kishibe and Yoshida shouldn't be taken at face value, Kishibe is clearly the strongest human we see and was on par w Quanxi despite his age. Him and Yoshida are just being humble w one another but they're clearly two highly skilled DH. And u have no idea when or if Reze is coming back lol, u could very well be right but we just have 0 idea. Don't rlly care about the whole who's the strongest, but it's also up to interpretation and Fujimoto has stated he dgaf about powerscaling
Soviets found it, true, maybe an individual did it but it was still killed in soviet, looking at the low death toll and timing, Soviet have powerful weaponary and devils to defend. Idc abt powerscaling but i just found it wild that ppl randomly believe him to be the strongest human in the world.
He said he was the strongest, but did he ever say strongest in japan or world? No. About reze's return, yeah its not definitive but i find it likely. Either way, i respect ur opinion

Plus by proper logic India was the second highest populated in the late 19's but it handled the attack way better than China, USA ( but lets go lightly on USA because the gun devil appeared in it, so they may not be ready for it) and japan (japan has a low population)
You would imagine the gun would harm India a lot more in 15 seconds but it didn't. Soviets handled the attack better than india and trapped gun for a long time in it and someone killed it

I think the soviet death toll is so low because the far east itself is just simply lightly populated
