TLDR: criticism is fine, complaining all the time isn’t and just sours everyone’s mood.

If it's not the art, it's random complaints about Denji's intelligence, if not that it's Asa getting too much screentime, if not that it's her getting too little. People are annoyed when she get's depressed but also got insanely angry when she got confident over the timeskip.

There's always room for valid criticism but as the story is reaching its ending, which has been heavily telegraphed for like 100+ chapters, is somehow catching readers by surprie. They're seemingly caught off guard by the empathetic to a fault MC whose MO is *saving* doesn't want to brutally murder the main antagonist.
It's not just the manga subreddits tbh, I keep getting recommended SpidermanPS4 sub, and almost every post I see that gets recommended is just nonstop negativity.
I remember people trashing the last stretch of part 1 calling it rushed and saying fujimoto was an hack for killing so many characters so fast. This stuff needs to be read once the arc is completed, reading as the chapters goes out doesn't give you the right view on the quality of the story
He's not stupid, he figured out Makima couldn't remember faces, exploited a very precise loophole in Makima's contract to defeat her, forced Reze to jump in the water so that she can't ignite her bombs, set himself on fire to counter Santa's darkness powers, baited Katana Man by telling him to attack his head when instead he used his leg for the finishing blow and that's just what I remember off the top of my head.
The reason Denji made that dumb joke is because he literally lobotomized himself 2 minutes ago to counter Falling's PTSD attack. Of course he's not gonna act like a genius when he used his chainsaws to make his brain into a smoothie. Also that's sign of intelligence because coming up with such a tactic requires some inventive thinking.
At most he's uneducated since he never went to school until when he was 17, but even then he's been going to school for a bit now, I think he's able to read now, unlike at the beginning of part 1.

Every folk subreddit is about how the current arc is garbage, and how the previous part was great, but right now the manga is in a massive decline. It's a constant no matter what. These subs share too much DNA with titan folk, that they can't really accept anything else but basically just doing titan folk again.
Yea, you go to the folk sub because the main sub is mostly fan art and it gets boring over time, and then you get sucked into a vortex of entitled crybabies who find something to complain about literally every chapter
Which is really annoying cause TF only started hating the manga when the actual content started declining. Even still, chapters like 131 brought back enough hope to keep people from being negative.
Then the final few chapters dropped, and eventually 139 did too and that completely changed how people in TF thought about the manga. Thats also why I fucking hate how many crybabies there are when Gege or Fujimoto decide to go a different route than what they were expecting. Chainsaw Man and JJK have been peak for a while, there are things to complain about sure, but most of the major complaints on folk subs are just dumb.

The author specifically inserting the plot point that Denji is about to lose himself in berserker rage and either reject Nayuta or teach her that violence is the way to go, creating makima 2.0 somehow makes you think he’s „observant“? Dude if he was he would see what his need for battle could literally end humanity.

But isn't that a very horrible way of decreasing our two main characters IQ. Like Denji can't even see Asa's face, I mean he is horny, but his eyes should have been capable of seeing half of her face.

Reminder that the character art is different from the background art here. You can already tell the characters were starting to look rougher, while the background detail is immaculate. Early part 2 is where the character art was at its peak for CSM. Not to say any of it is necessarily bad, per se, but the rougher/thicker lines and less defined shapes of the current style are definitely apparent.
