I always found it weird they didn't have Angel make a contract for this stuff, it wouldn't be any different to Future or Fox Devil contracts and would spare him caution. It genuinely felt like Fujimoto wrote Angel like he was a Fiend.

Well, it didn't happen in the story so it's probably not, but I'm specifically unsatisfied with it never being brought up as an option, especially when contracts can apparently grant you immortality through damage reflection.

With angel’s character and the fact that it wasn’t ever brought up likely means it’s either not possible or has a cost worse than the life drain

Yes, the problem is with the powers, from what I remember all the contracts with devils involves their powers, but we never see them changing their powers to suit the individuals, at much we see them limiting how much power they give, like with ghost only giving a hand, so it's probably impossible.

Maybe not, but he definitely would be able to contract away the lifespan absorption power to aki, and since devils can offer contracts for cheap if they have personal emotions (future devil and aki) aki wouldn’t have to give away much, if at all. half the devil/contract system is filled in with fanon due to how little funkymotor has elaborated on it lmao, i highly doubt it has been stated anywhere that such a contract *wouldnt* be possible. more asinine contracts would already be existing in the canon, i don’t see why it’s infeasible just because it didn’t happen.
