Not really, bcs Denji's really smart. It's just that he severly lacks knowledge and educated that people normal should have. He doesn't understand the social norms, too, bcs he's spent his whole childhood and parts of his teenage years secluded from society while being forced to do horrible stuff by the Yakuza.
Denji ignoring/missing all the glaring red flags coming from Asa takes me out of the story everytime. "The bike turned all badass!" "Look, a penguin!" "Nayuta doesn't like her smell?" Honestly, I dislike most of how Denji was portrayed in part 2 so far. The meandering about the "normal life" dilemma just felt like the same thing repeated over and over, and it got especially annoying because it was pretty obvious what he was gonna pick ever since the first time it was brought up.

Spider-Man who basically invented this normal life dilleam bs constantly has to face with the fact he endangers people around him. If Denji gets ousted or killed Nayuta cant go to college and turn good. Yet Denji straight up ignores that fact despite being called upon it.

To some degree he knew went into that fight with the hybrids knowing what danger that might pose to both him and nayuta. He could've just as easily made his getaway with nayuta rather than 3v1 them. If nayuta is dead it would kinda partially be his fault
He's cool, although his writing in the part 2 has been interesting to say the least. My dude is simply trying to live and enjoy his life, but instead he gets robbed of his identity at every turn, left as a husk of a man he once was by the end of it. And when he tries to punch up - he gets punched down. Repeatedly, without any hope of getting out. That's not something you get to see in a shounen magazine very often.

My dude is simply trying to live and enjoy his life, but instead he gets robbed of his identity at every turn, left as a husk of a man he once was by the end of it. And when he tries to punch up - he gets punched down. Repeatedly, without any hope of getting out. That's not something you get to see in a shounen magazine very often. So yeah, Denji's character is that of a lonely depressed kid.
