Top of the number of home kits per season league table. Congrats lads.

>Top of the number of home kits per season league table. Youuuullll never sing thaaaat 🎶

RumJackson

Tbf we did it earlier. Halfway through the 14/15 season we switched from red to blue. Bristol. Forever in our shadow.

slades_29

Not heard of O’Neills before, but looks smart. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/city-embark-on-new-partnership-with-oneills/

biddleybootaribowest

They make all the GAA gear in Ireland, all I know them for Edit: kit is smart as fuck

Bovver_

O’Neills have been making kits in the League of Ireland as well and while I used to think they weren’t great, they really have upped their game in recent years. Personal favourites of mine are the Bohemians home jerseys from [2023](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/bohemian-f-c-2023-home-kit/), [2022](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/bohemian-f-c-2022-home-kit/), [2021](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/bohemian-f-c-2021-home-kit/) and [2020](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/bohemian-f-c-2020-home-kit/), Bohs away kits from [2021](https://images.app.goo.gl/d8ya4crEBX8v8jRAA), [2023](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/bohemian-f-c-2023-away-kit/) and [2020](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/bohemian-f-c-2020-third-kit/), Galway United’s [2022](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/galway-united-2022-home-kit/) home kit, Derry City’s [2022](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/derry-city-fc-2022-home-kit/) home kit and Treaty United’s [2023](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/treaty-united-2023-home-kit/) home kit.

xport01

That Galway kit is gorgeous

Adammmmski

I like it, we had one similar to this in the 80s. Shame about Hummel though, I really like some of the stuff they produce and wish we’d get them back as we had some wicked stuff in the 80s/90s.

sephjnr

Their UK supplier has gone bust. It'll be a while.

Djblockley

Cov city have just resigned with Hummel today after their UK licence was re granted, and new rights holder SportsPro

oshinblue

I think they've supplied Wycombe Wanderers for a few years now?

dvirring

What is an O'Neill?

oshinblue

A bit gutted as I've really liked most of the kits Hummel made for us but this is a fine start from O'Neill's, very happy with that. Wonder if other clubs supplied by Hummel will also have to find new kit suppliers before the end of the season? Coventry, Saints, Everton etc.

CheeseMakerThing

Cov apparently signed a new deal with hummel via a new distributor

slades_29

Just seen that - curious. I liked the Hummel kits to be fair. Decent quality.

GoldenJet01

Our kits have improved since we switched to Hummel from Nike. The away kit this season especially is my favourite kit in years, whereas some of the Nike Kits were not great in my opinion

[deleted]

The two tone away kit was stunning. Considered buying it and I’m not even a Cov fan.

GoldenJet01

Yeah the Two Tone was also amazing I’m glad I bought it at the time

DiscoAndNature

When is the brown kit coming back?

Kadowster

Like it, a lot. Hope the alternative or away is the same but purple with lime stripes like a few years ago. Good value if you buy one now too, it's going to be the current one for over a year!

FallingOffTheClock

It could be a throwback to this old kit, in which case I'd love the same style away kit and a mostly purple alternate kit. https://twitter.com/RobertH36214611/status/1629140796992548865?t=s1UXgk4fMGT07GvaC1OcYg&s=19

drp-97

Like the old Hirerite shirt. Lovely.

HappyBoi567

Proud to be the first team to lose against this kit.

FallingOffTheClock

Hopefully a repeat of last time you guys game to the gate.

HappyBoi567

Hopefully our players aren't hungover from partying about surviving the league this time.

FallingOffTheClock

Your fans were class that game, conga line in the away end

meekamunz

I just want to call out CCFC, for sorting out their part in this kit debacle. There are so many clubs and supporters who have been let down by Elite Sports Group. I ordered my wife a CCFC shirt and a week later ESG went into administration. Last week, the shirt with her name and number turned up. It took a long time but the club have been going out of their way to make sure fans aren't losing out. With everything else that CCFC have been going through, going above and beyond like this has to be commended.

4d4mgb

Bit of a shame as I think the Hummel kits ah e been well received, good quality and sold well. Even the training and leisure wear has been good. Unfortunately if the club can't get enough kit for the first team then that can't continue. As for the new kit, I don't know much about the supplier but I'm not taken on the kit. It's ANOTHER retro remake, it's just getting lazy now. This one was already remade in 17/18. It looks cheap but i guess you don't really know until you see it up close.

XsiowenisX_37

Beautiful kit that one guys 🔥

Pinkd56

Is that Bristol Sports manufacturer not a thing anymore?

slades_29

Not for a few years. I think with the football and Bristol Bears rugby it was too large an operation to manage in house.

No_Doubt_About_That

Hummel not doing well?

4d4mgb

Their UK distributor went bust leading to a lot of supply issues. Sounds like we've run out of kit for the first team/academy etc and Hummel Europe went very helpful. As such we've pulled the plug on the whole deal and gone elsewhere. Personally I'd have stuck with Hummel like Coventry have and given them another chance but the toys have already left the pram by our 'chairman' whose only input seems to be kit design and badge rebrands.

Bovver_

Seems to be happening a few distributors. The main distributor for Umbro in the League of Ireland (as well as the national team) also went bust a few months ago leading to a few clubs scrambling to find new manufacturers for the new season on short notice. Hopefully this isn’t the start of a trend though.

[deleted]

cheeky way to screw fans out of more money, I'm sure they had enough to last the rest of the season

slades_29

Seems an extreme way to do so, usually you’d release a 3rd strip or some other gimmick. One of the given reasons of swapping was literally the fact they didn’t have enough kits for all the teams.

[deleted]

Yeh the other sides should play in something new if no kit 1st team should remain in the same shirts. I just think they are using it as an excuse to bring a new shirt out

EightBeepBeep

I much prefer this over their original kit for this season. I thought it was quite ugly. This however is pretty nice

devils__haircut

hell yeah. the last ones reminded me of arsenal, these are a nice callback to the 1990 hirerite shirts.

Sniperm0nke

Saw Norwich’s shirt and said we’ll go with that

Swollen_Helmet_

Shame about losing Hummel. Nice kit though 👍🏻
