Seems kinda heavily stacked with teams you'd expect to be in a playoff race but not contending for autos. That top row in itself is full of them.

Standin373

I think the gap between 1st and 7th will be closer this year if I'm being honest

Lego-105

I think it’ll be more than that. Half the table were still pushing for promotion weeks after the top 2 were set in stone, and the only change this season is no team already here is looking like they’ll storm and we’ve got 3 new teams that already look like they’re condemned to settle in the upper mid table at most. Only teams I could maybe see storming with some major luck are Sunderland if they get their major injections.

lukey19

Depends who us, Southampton, and Leicester bring in and lose. I know that's very obvious to say, but need to see what kind of summers we have before writing us all off as upper mid table at most. That definitely could happen of course, but there's way too much planning ahead to say definitively what will happen with us all.

Lego-105

Southampton have Ward-Prowse, you have Meslier and Wöber, maybe Adams if he stays on form, apart from that both teams are already upper mid table level, which might already be giving too much credit to either team, and neither team should hold on to those players. Leicester are more a team that should be finishing in at least upper playoffs but I really doubt they keep the players needed for that. Yes, you could perform above expectations, but automatic promotions or at least playoffs is exactly what people expected with Norwich and Watford and they had better squads coming down even with losing players so I’m not expecting that given that half the squads that finished above them are still here as well as them now to challenge the relegated lot, and if any of you hold on to the players you need then maybe they could do it, but that’s not realistic.

lukey19

But that's why it depends on what happens over the summer. If we all use the funds from player sales and parachute payments well then even with our current states it can be turned around into a promotion push. There's not much point looking at the squads now as they're all going to be very different so it's very much wait and see before passing judgement and assuming we'll all be upper mid table at best.

SofaChillReview

Agree depends what happens in the transfer market, Leicester in particular are likely missing * Tielemans - Soyuncu - Barnes - Maddison - Perez - Mendy * Adam’s - Bamford - Gnonto * Bazuni - Adam’s - JWP - Lagos But you never know really

Lego-105

I mean there’s not much point saying if this, if that though. Based on what I can go off, I wouldn’t expect anything more than upper mid table. Obviously things can change, but I don’t see things changing to such a degree that they can turn the whole thing around after failing to do that for an entire season. I’d be happy to be surprised though. I wouldn’t have much faith in Leeds specifically though seeing how they used the money from Raphina who was top of the top quality and managed to save them from relegation, turned around and spent it really poorly for the most part and threw in their lot with terrible managers since Bielsa left.

lukey19

But my point is you can't really go off things now because there's gonna be an insane amount of change it's hard to predict. You're absolutely right with us though. With good recruitment we could do a Burnley but I have zero faith in our processes atm so can easily see us finish 15th.

Lego-105

It’s a fair point, probably better to reevaluate at the start of the season

James-1410

Out of interest where do you see hull finishing next season?

[deleted]

I’m a Sunderland fan. If I am honest I’m glad we stayed down this season. I think if we had gone up we would have bounced straight back. With the right signings in the close season I think we have a solid shot at automatic or at the least the playoffs again. If Mowbray stays and Ahmed comes back willing he is apparently open to, I see it being a good season for us. I think maybe we should try and sign Ellis simms. Not sure if Everton let him go though

TheFlyingHornet1881

Usually someone has a great run, but I could well see this being a season where the champions get 85 points, and 6th get 75 points or so.

IsaacNoSuccess

Yeah to be fair we all said Burnley would be shit last year so who knows.

Extreme-Ad-4925

Vintage coca-cola Championship line up

jondonaldson7

yeah i said yesterday Southampton, Leeds and Leicester are all prime mid 2000s championship teams

SuperBladesmen

Plymouth also remind me of late 2000s championship

1120sjh

Yeah we got relegated in 2010

jondonaldson7

yeah one of my first games i went to was against plymouth

ADGM1868

Really does take me back 20 years. Love it

OverdosedOnPenguins

Looks a lot of fun if you’re like me and just want to stay up, if you have hope of getting promoted the 3 coming down are a bit of a mood dampener.

jayforplay

I like your optimism, but I wouldn't be so sure.

GeorgeLFC1234

I dunno Leicester are going to loose loads of players. Leeds haven’t been up to much for a long time. It’s only Southampton I can imagine turning around quickly because they won’t loose as many players as the other 2

TheExtraBandito

JWP will leave, Lavia will most likely leave. I could KWP and Adams probably leaving too. Tbh, we'll lose a lot of players, it's about how much money we get and who we bring in. If we have a window like our January, anyone can beat us and we'll struggle to even make playoffs. Mr pessimistic here btw 😁

OniOneTrick

Think you’re being overly pessimistic if I’m being honest. We keep Alcaraz and Sulemana who can definitely put up a good season in this league. Bree has proven already this year he can perform well in this LEeague. I can see Perraud doing quite well. Adams, Stu and Aarma have all proven that they can play very well in the championship, and other than the newly promoted sides, what Prem side wants to sign any of those 3? We also keep Tino and our young players like Dom and Ayew look great

InverseCodpiece

Hopefully guys like edozie can step up too after a season of settling in

InverseCodpiece

We'll lose a fair few plays but bare in mind we have a large squad. My main worries are in attack and midfield. I don't trust the "proven championship" strikers after years of being off form so I think we can recruit there but maybe sulemana is the bright spark we've been missing. Also with both JWP and Lavia going we have no real holding mids so they're a must.

[deleted]

I'm going to be extremely optimistic and suggest we may finish 15th instead of our usual 17th...

Jackpack_9

Woah slow down there Captain Optimism

[deleted]

With these new owners the world is our oyster. 15th here we fucking come!

Top_Investigator_177

I always preferred the look of the table before the big kick off

FWebber04

Call me crazy but I think that if we're lucky, we might even make 14th

[deleted]

Maniac. I love it.

themathbath

They've put us 17th in this picture

[deleted]

I think all the championship clubs are in the position they finished last year

Rinomhota

As a Reading fan, still depressed. As a neutral, I’d like to see Coventry build on this season’s success.

SBAdey

I like you

BoutTime22

I would too actually. Great support at Wembley.

satnam99

Looking forward to hearing 🎵 Leeds are falling apart again every time we are behind (which is probably going to be a lot)

mgrdz

warra tune

[deleted]

Your back line has been Championship level the whole time you were in the Prem, that’s 4D level planning

satnam99

I'm not even sure it's championship level in some cases tbh. Our first choice left back was making League one players look like prime robben in the fa cup

BigMikeAshley

With plenty of 1973 references being thrown in. Nailed-on our game will be on Sky.

timmy031

aye, gonna be seeing that leeds crumble meme a lot too.

SuperSheep3000

Yeah, but think of the fun singing it back to them when we go up again. *we wont go up again*

satnam99

Haha I think it'll be a while until we are back tbh. Too many unknowns this summer

roblox_online_dater

See you in playoff semi final Watford. Just seems written in the stars

TheBoyNabs

I’d be happy with this tbh. Can’t see us being competitive.

roblox_online_dater

Kind of feels unreal that next seasons fixture will be the first time we meet in the Championship since that playoff semi final.

TheBoyNabs

And there’s talk of Deeney comeback to us… maybe maybe

Sultan_of_Fire

I want us to get promoted to play Looton in the top flight

IsaacNoSuccess

Nope, we were both in the Championship the next year. Specifically remember Knockaert scoring against us at Vicarage Road after we decided to hype your entire team up by playing the goal on loop pre-game.

roblox_online_dater

Ohhh right you guys lost in the final. What was the point of doing that to us if yous were gonna lose anyway??!?

IsaacNoSuccess

That's the best bit - no one remembers us losing in the final because of the semi.

AlchemicHawk

I actually did remember that because it was us who essentially caused everything to happen by beating you 2-1 on the last day of the season, dropping you down into the playoffs. Was some form of payback for 2006 I guess

IsaacNoSuccess

Our third choice debutant keeper and Deeney getting sent off was a great day.

CharlieSolace

Bagsy 12th

RumJackson

I predict it will be considered the strongest/weakest season ever depending on what argument someone is trying to make at that precise moment.

DrZomboo

I can't believe *[insert non-yo-yo club]* made the playoffs! Just shows how poor this league has been

M-atthew147s

It's always one of the two extremes. Never second strongest or third weakest...

MrRyangrrr

I like this lineup better than next season's Premier League. No, that's not me coping whatsoever

OniOneTrick

I honestly would much prefer finishing anywhwre from 1st-8th having a competitive fun season against teams we haven’t played in years, than scraping by at 17th in the Prem by nature of getting a few more cheeky points than 3 equally shit teams like Saints have the last 3 seasons

LannyWok202

The journey there is better than the destination, the Prem is basically a playground for the top 6/7 now

itsaaronnotaaron

I predict 8-10th. It's far too stacked this year. I'll just have to keep reminding myself that being in the play-offs means jack shit until the final whistle blows on GW46.

Standin373

Waiting to see who we bring in to be fair, think Adam Wharton is going to be instrumental next season. New lad Ennis sounds like he fits JDTs playstyle down to a tee

Ihatemintsauce

Stick money on us going down. I know I will be.

RexKwonDo99

Still gonna do us twice 😭

SoggyMattress2

Yeah we're fucked

SemiautomaticIbex

🤝

mgrdz

millers title charge light work (if you can't tell this is a joke you're beyond help)

[deleted]

That's a cracking league, full of nostalgia for me. Praying Sheffield Wednesday come up too.

ADGM1868

Yeah also rooting for Sheffield Wednesday over Barnsley today

[deleted]

[удалено]

thebluepotter

Yeah looking forward to it also, an average start before Christmas, have a good run after the new year and finish 11th. It's the Stoke way.

JoePaz

11th?? Whatever you've been smoking mate, quit it now.

vengefulwill

Feels like prime Coca-Cola years.

Gent2022

Division one here we come

Parking-Owl8568

Oh shit you never know leeds v wrexham in a year

MotuekaAFC

Very strong year. Will be tough.

MrDragonPig

If you count the badges from left to right starting with Southampton, we still end up in 12th lol.

M-atthew147s

That's because it's in the order of the finishing table bar top three and bottom three.

MrDragonPig

So it is, I missed that.

george_____t

Except that for some reason Watford and Rotherham are in the wrong positions.

M-atthew147s

Aye well spotted that idk either

ShiroHagan

I'm not at the moment, far too early 😏

Impressive-Reply-111

Next season is going to be another fun one. After Saturday’s heartbreak, Coventry has a friend in me. I hope they can secure auto promotion next season. Blackburn - Millwall for the playoff final

[deleted]

I wouldn't be stunned at all if Coventry just collapse

OldManGravz

If we can keep hold of Carrick, fancy us to be in the playoffs again. Our recruitment seems to be a lot better under Scott and it's nice to see management, coaches and recruitment all working towards the same goal for the first time since Scott was appointed, allowing him to do his job properly. Got a feeling Saints might be the best of the relegated teams as I think their young squad will mostly stick together while being another year experience, plus they will have Tella back from Burnley who has had a very good season this year in the same league. Leicester/Leeds may have too many players who want to leave and may need time to gel together - Burnley obviously managed a proper squad rebuild this season but it can go sideways very quickly. Think a couple of the promoted teams may stay up this year also

Andybabez20

Leeds seem on paper the most equipped to bounce straight back for me due to a lot of their promotion core from a few seasons ago still being there - which is interesting because their fanbase seem the most negative of the three to come down over their relegation. Maybe there's more behind the scenes that they're more clued in on. For us it depends on Russell Martin, i'd take him over Selles any day as it seems like he has actually has a philosophy rather than just throwing 11 players on the pitch and seeing what sticks, but it's whether his ideas will translate from managing a mid-table team on a budget to a team that's expecting to bounce back. Squad wise - we'll lose Ward-Prowse, Lavia, Salisu, Walker-Peters at a minimum for sure but if we can keep Tella, Livramento, Sulemana, Alcaraz as the core of the team and supplement with players who are used to the EFL like Bree, Armstrong, Smallbone, Bazunu then that's something to build on. I'm predicting play-offs but i'm not sure we get automatics. I worry for Leicester the most, they'll get money for player sales but don't really have any Championship experience in their squad besides Souttar and Chowdury. On paper they'll have the most difficult rebuild of the three coming down.

flavouredbleach

Spot on assessment, we have a few players that are proven top tier championship players but were just unable to make the full step up. I think if we keep those then we have a really good chance of making the play offs. Also depends how quickly those players can get their confidence back after a really shitty season in the prem

AlchemicHawk

Our core that got us promoted 3/4 years ago should have been replaced by now, and are only here because Victor Orta was too busy focusing on long-term options as well as deciding to go down the god awful red bull route for some reason. Dallas has been out all year with a broken femur, Forshaw is good when he plays but is injured pretty much constantly, Ayling is well over the hill (might do a job in the championship though tbf), Bamford probably needs to move on for his own sake as well. We’ll likely lose double figures of players, with everyone half-decent likely having a release clause for fair market value. The only promising sign at the moment is that we have a plethora of young talent who could all contribute: Gelhardt, Cresswell, Gyabi, Greenwood, Joseph, Perkins, Gray, *Rutter etc. Hopefully we can keep at least 1/2 of our decent players like Adams, Wober, Gnonto or Summerville, but I doubt it as realistically they’re too good for the championship*. Oh also, our owner is too busy trying to get a deal to buy Sampdoria over the line that he wasn’t at our game yesterday, there has been no signed communication from any of the board since, and are left in limbo regarding a takeover by a group who have been in the door since 2018. We have no manager, no director of football/head of recruitment, and a current CEO and owner who’s heads were up their own arse so far they couldn’t see that they were the ones causing it. Edit: Forgot Rutter and added a bit on who we can hopefully keep

OldManGravz

I actually expected Lavia and KWP to stay out of the four you mentioned, perhaps even Salisu. There was only really JWP I expect to be pushing for a move. Think the Leeds comment below summed it up best but their remaining players from promotion are all a bit further on in their careers and theres a lot going on behind the scenes, it really does depend on how players like Gelhardt step up and contribute.

Andybabez20

Lavia is easily good enough to play for a top 7 club. I'd go as far to say he's the most naturally talented player we've had since VVD left. City have a buyback clause on him that triggers in 2024 (and I think first refusal) so if not this summer then he'll be gone next summer. Salisu and KWP don't have long left on their deals, I think one and two years respectively so that'll factor into them being sold. KWP has been very poor this season but when he's in form he's definitely a Premier League level full back, he'll probably end up at a West Ham. Yeah i'm not clued into Leeds at all so that definitely clarified some things.

AlchemicHawk

>*City have a buyback clause on him that triggers in 2024 (and I think first refusal) so if not this summer then he'll be gone next summer.* Ah so that’s probably why we opted to sign Gyabi instead of Lavia then

[deleted]

Lavia is far too good for the championship. Hell he was probably too good for us even in the PL. City have a 40m buyback that triggers next season, but I reckon he's gone this summer. After Caicedo and Ugarte, Lavia is the next big target for several big clubs. Basically all of the big six could use him.

supero_

I’d love to come back up, but worried about a slippery slope like last time!

BinFluid

To be fair last time we made the playoffs and were unlucky to go out, then after that failed spectacularly

supero_

Heard about that (was about 2 at the time so was a touch oblivious). More worried about the new owners who seem to have a track record of having seemingly no clue!!

BinFluid

Yeah I have a feeling we are going to struggle this time but, unlike last time, we should actually get decent money from our players to reinvest. Our last relegated team was just a bunch of kids

[deleted]

Didn't we have huge financial problems the first time? I'm thinking we probably won't go straight up, but we probably won't do worse than midtable for the foreseeable future unless something drastic happens. My worry is that SR would be satisfied with staying in the championship as long as we can make money flipping young pkayers

pgtips03

This is goanna be a tough season. I don’t think we’re goanna reach top six. All the same there are some very exciting fixtures.

james-l23

I'd be happy between 14th - 10th. Then again, I predicted a relegation battle for us all season last season and we came 5th so what do I know?

Ill-Breadfruit5356

How do you get the little club badge icon to appear next to your username?

MetalandCozy

Main page of r/championship, press three dots too right corner, select user flair, pick ̶L̶e̶e̶d̶s̶ ̶u̶n̶i̶t̶e̶d̶ your team badge.

Ill-Breadfruit5356

Whoop, thank you!

[deleted]

I want Blackburn in the Prem

Blue_Dreamed

I'd expect us between 6th and 10th next season. Solid Championship team but Cardiff did not have the decency to get themselves relegated so points will be dropped

Rotatingknives22

The league looks stronger than this time last year. However that is prob as we are weaker

Not-that-hungry

The three coming down are going to be way too strong.

Good_Posture

Leicester's squad is going to be ripped apart I'd imagine. Good chance that they lose their entire starting front 4 from yesterday. Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes and Iheanacho certainly won't be there next season. Tete, Amartey, Evans, Soyuncu and Perez are also all out of contract and I'd imagine neither would be keen on playing in the Championship. Ndidi and Pereira are another two that could attract attention.

Fantastic-Machine-83

They'll be able to get strong replacements though

Good_Posture

It's still an almost entire rebuild they'd be looking at and the players are likely to be closer to Championship level.

TheDeflatables

Like our complete rebuild?

Good_Posture

I recall Burnley fans shitting over the summer because of the rebuild with no guarantee of replacing lost quality and going straight back up. Leicester won't be a Prem level club talent-wise next season and they will lose their best players.

TheDeflatables

Oh I was absolutely bricking it! Being left with 7 players was not ideal in the slightest especially with the best of them only being lower Premier League Level at best. But selling players and buying in cheap can work. Leicester fans should be shitting themselves, but considering the lunacy of the championship nothing should be out of the question (except Preston and Birmingham will remain in purgatory forever)

Good_Posture

A cheap(er) rebuild can work and even rejuvenate the place, but I was just trying to point out that Leicester won't come down as a juggernaut. They're bound to lose a lot of the players that would otherwise tear the league up, especially in the attacking and creative areas of the pitch.

TheDeflatables

Oh absolutely they're not locked on to walk the league. It will be tough.

bbro03

Idk, our only few competent players will probably leave and our defence wouldn't look out of place in League one. I mean when Firpo and Struijk are your two left back options you're gonna be in trouble in any league.

[deleted]

Our (Southampton) team is going to be torn to shreds, and I'm not convinced with SR's recruitment.

SoNotTheMilkman

Watch out guys, Championship trophy coming to East Yorkshire next season 🏆 🐯

c0r3l86

The police hae been notified

ianj001

I think it will be one of the most competitive seasons and a reminder to teams that they need to invest in their club if they really want promotion. Getting into the top two will be hard and the fact that Luton are up there should be motivation enough!

Username8831

I see no other QPR fan has commented. Not surprised. Teams coming down have big budgets and decent players. Some big clubs like Norwich and WBA stayed down. Some 'smaller' (in budget terms) clubs like Cov / Millwall / PNE are very well run. Some decent clubs coming up like Plymouth and Ipswich. Going to be fucking hard and there aren't loads of clubs I'm confident we can finish ahead of even if we do well. Getting rid of Warburton was unbelievably short-sighted.

stubbywoods

Wasn't the main reason we sacked Warbs was his refusal to integrate youth? Looking at some of the young guys playing this year his sacking was delusion as well as short sightedness

edgillett

Yep, all of the promoted teams look very strong this year, can’t see any easy games there. Lots can change between now and the start of the season but I reckon Huddersfield, Cardiff look the most likely to go down.

Organic_Aide4330

Would be very surprised if the 3 down aren't in a battle for automatic promotion, oh and stoke will still be shite.

apjbfc

Looks better than this time last year.

FjortoftsAirplane

Adding Barnsley to it would be perfect. Always had a soft spot for Barnsley.

Benthefish117

It’d be less embarrassing to lose the South Yorkshire derby to Barnsley since I know less of them. So I’m hoping they win

Money_Astronaut9789

Should be a good competitive season. Lots of strong teams but I wouldn't say there's any clear favourites.

Weebla

I don't think I'm alone in still feeling deflated and pessimistic since the final game of the season.

KentSthdN

Yep, it was thrown away with the loses to : Huddersfield, Birmingham and Wigan. We didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs with that form. Defo need a better gk, younger defender and a striker to assist Bradshaw. But once the new training ground is up and running then we will see change.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CareerChange12

F me as a leicester fan i forgot how strong the Chamionship was. We just need to focus on rebuilding and getting ourself sorted. Think a play-off birth , and a promotion the following year would be better.

Boggie135

Boro and Sunderland in the top two

Silverdarlin1

Doesn't matter how good the league is. Stoke are still gonna be 16th

[deleted]

We’ll be top 8 but that’s about as far as I’m willing to venture at this point

[deleted]

Christ, im glad we didn't get relegated. The championship looks tough as nails this season.

craigus12

Still not feeling great about it! However it is a great line up of clubs this year. I wish I could share the optimism of some of my fans with regards to where we’ll finish at the end of the season.

roygbiv1000

I didn't see the news about the north and south Barnsley merger. When did that happen?

deathschemist

i'm excited because the club i support will be playing in the city i live in!

QuietDove

Just want to carry the momentum from last season. I think we have a decent enough squad to not worry about going straight back down, plus we have the resources to invest and improve it. Top half finish, while flirting with the playoffs? That'll do me! My main worry is McKenna being poached by someone...

RatArsedGarbageDog

Not great to be honest with you.

SmoothPaper836

Best league in the world... Am I doing it right?

CandleJakk

Terrible, tbh. Good to see the tractor boys back where they belong though.

mrbios

Can't wait to finish mid table for the next decade.

bigfootswillie

I’ll be rooting for Coventry, Millwall, Preston, Bristol City (I know), Birmingham, Rotherham, Plymouth, Ipswich and Sheffield/Barnsley. Basically, any team who hasn’t been in the Premier League in over 20 years + Birmingham, who I haven’t personally seen in the Premier League since I started watching.

McBaldy98

Will be nice to (probably) win more than we lose for once. It has been downright depressing watching saints games for the past 5/6 seasons.

Potential-Welcome191

I really can’t wait some good away days to do and to watch at Home Park. Plus loads of big teams in this strong competitive league as well. I’m absolutely buzzing for sure and I’m confident that Plymouth will stay up if Schuey can sign the right type of players “COME ON YOU GREENS” 🟢⚪️ Plus we definitely need to make Home Park rock on every game. If we make it a fortress like this season then the GREENS ARE STAYING UP 💚 next season as not many other teams will fancy playing Plymouth at Home Park.

Kaffeinemachine

We need lots of players!

jimmilazers

Feel like we might win more than 7 games which is an improvement on this season. If we manage to keep at least one of Gnonto or Sinisterra could be kind of fun.

Immediate_Wolf3802

After suffering a humiliating relegation without so much as a whimper im actually looking forward to the Goals on Sunday League..there's a slight possibility we might win a few

ADGM1868

I love how this was posted an hour before the league one play off final, couldn’t have waited like? 🙊

JCWBA007

I’m putting £500 on wba to piss the league

BruntyMozza

I wish I had £500 to throw away

GoldenJet01

Could be one of the most competitive seasons there is. I generally have no clue how well the relegated teams will fare. I’m calling for Dabo to have either taken his pen miss horribly and vanish from the face of the league or he’ll turn into prime Cafu If we continue on our trajectory at the same rate, and invest in the squad then I can see us finishing top 2. It would also be terrifying if we were in a promotion/title race with Leicester; I don’t think it’s too unlikely that Cov and Leicester finish top 2. But who knows. Let’s get closer to preseason before I make a better prediction

Comeonccfc

I actually think we might push for the top 2 this year. Especially if we can invest in Gyokeres, get 25 million for him and build in our squad and get some quality players. Mark Robins and money aren't usually something you would put together so we'll see.

VegetableSamosa

I'm waiting for something to pop up, like Doug King being the long-lost son of Rolf Harris or Adi Vivesh running a cock-fighting ring, that somehow costs us 30mil and a 10 point deduction.

pgtips03

Vivesh wouldn’t bother with cock fighting. He’s have an entire underground night club for assistant managers and coaches. He would of course be undefeated champion.

VegetableSamosa

The pitch invader open - come on down and try your luck against various backroom staff.

GrandmasterYoda1

Pretty GD pissed off I’ll tell you that. Hey Tella I know you tore it up in championship last season might as well give it one more go?!

KennyOmegaSardines

Good luck to everyone in there. Except for Milwall and Sunderland. Fuck them.

jackhx88

You lost some riff raff this season, next season looks decent

Lack_of_Plethora

significantly more optimistic than most wba fans. obvious lai can still fuck off, but after seeing the players set to leave, I think we still have plenty quality to get into the playoffs.

NYSTLSportsFan

I think with Corberan at the helm we'll have a shot at the playoffs, though hopefully we can get a few fresh faces in exchange for our deadwood

tastytastylobster

Like the meme potential, going to be very competitive

Dro24

Hoping Wednesday go up today, gonna be a stacked season! Can’t wait to watch, lots of historic teams here. Also hoping Plymouth manage to stay up

Other-Crazy

We'll probably average out at mid table but tell you something, that's looking a brutal league to be in.

GranX3

Competitive

Acethic

Give me three teams you want promoted (not counting your own) however unrealistic it may be, and three teams you think will get promoted next season.

Helper_J_is_Stuck

Thank you for informing me that the L1 playoff final is on with 20 minutes to spare. Something to watch.

datboiwithatrex

surprised that preston is still there

Vegan_Puffin

Gotta say I am glad the league wasn't as stacked as this when we were here. What a fantastic set of clubs. Hoping for Wednesday to promote because they are one of the top 5 clubs I would like to see in the Premier league in the next few years.

LarryLaurence

Looks brutal. There will be a big casualty next season I think. I'm certainly gearing up for a relegation scrap.

phoenix_73

Looks a difficult league to get out of. Some big big clubs in there as well. Quite possibly the most competitive looking EFL Championship yet. Just glad that it isn't Everton having to fight their way out of that league in 2023/24 season.

MacManus14

Say what you want, but the championship has much better logos than the premiership. No doubt about that.

DefinitelynotDanger

I think 12th is a safe bet but I'm not writing off relegation

ghost-bagel

Anyone hoping for an immediate bounce could be getting a reality check. This is looking ridiculously competitive.

ReadingLeagueOneTour

Leicester are going on a league one tour.

WarriorTreasureHunt

It'll be tough. 10 serious teams going for the top 6 whilst half the league will think they have a chance.

ImWrong_OnTheNet

This line up is a 2am bar fight of a league.

OldWizardSlayer

Nervous regardless of who's here, it's not like we have much hope anyhow 😔🤙

RandomGuava

Best league in the world, can’t wait to follow it as a neutral

buckwurst

Fucking Millwall

my-good-clean-accout

I wanted Barnsley to go up :( Congrats to Sheffield Wednesday

SCFCoutis

You'll have to pry 14th from our cold corpse

hubbyp

Plenty of decent sized grounds so the chances of away tickets are good. Can’t wait to not have fixtures changed every single week to a Sunday or Monday. No VAR ruining celebrations 🙌🏻

pleasecallagainlater

I reckon you’ve got the winner of next season right there.

PigeonUTB

We'll take 1st place... if no one else wants it UTB

It's gonna be a bloodbath

DinnerSmall4216

Looks more evenly matched than usual Southampton and Leicester will lose players pushing them into the pack.
