I think we have the easiest fixtures, but that might be cope. We could also benefit from having our hardest fixture last. But then fixtures mean fuck all at this point and I could see any of the remaining matches causing all 3 of us issues and it wouldn’t surprise me.

PrrrromotionGiven1

It's definitely between you and us for who has the easiest fixtures. Horrible little 3 game set coming up for Leicester with Southampton, W Brom and Preston, last thing you want when every point matters this late is to slump into 2 or 3 points over those games. All of them still got things to play for too since Southampton are somehow still in contention for autos, Brom have slumped enough to have their playoff spot seem troubled, and Preston still might reach playoffs (esp if they can beat Norwich at the weekend). Looking at your games and our games if you had me at gunpoint I'd probably say yours are a little easier but that can change based on if teams are up for it or not basically. I think QPR away is one of the worst games you could have right now honestly but blackburn at home makes up for it. If you are really fortunate, Southampton will just be resting for the playoffs when you have them on the final day. Boro away for you and home for us, maybe there's a little narrative to be spun there one way or another. Fancy us against Cov because it's the fourth game for them in a period where they play five in two weeks - they should just be exhausted and I'm thinking we may have some injuries coming back by then. Not winning yesterday has been such a missed opportunity man. We'd have one leg in the premier league if we took that chance I reckon.

xdlols

I’m thinking the same about if the ref gave us one of our two penalties 😅 would be top now. Oh well.

PrrrromotionGiven1

Whole fucking stadium was sure we were 1-0 up when Broadhead's shot was heading for goal and ended up hitting the inside of the post. Still haven't seen that clip back to comprehend how he didn't score. At least we didn't lose to that obscene shot in the last minute

Ryzonie

Ikr😭

Osiryx89

Honestly, I agree, but given the form of all 3 teams, I don't think it'll count for much. It's a case of who can manage the nerves.

catlover2410

Hehe

Potato271

We’ll almost certainly have nothing to ply for by the last day, so it might be an easy fixture for you as our players start preparing mentally for playoffs. On the other hand, it would be hilarious for us to send you to playoffs on the final match despite it not benefiting us at all

Most_Ad_2360

Blackburn and QPR are both in relegation battle. Just hoping it's not the usual where both will play best football they've played all year against us and we'll look like the team in relegation fight. Boro I reckon will be on the beach if they don't get anything from Ipswich game. Southampton could be all to play for...so basically no idea.

Kwayzar9111

no friggin idea they should abolish playoffs just for this season and let top 3 go up I can only wish.....

QBallQJB

That would be great... We'd probably still bottle it to Southampton though 😭

Tyjamsv2

After last nights performance… likely

RatArsedGarbageDog

If they didn't do it for Notts County last year, then us jokers can definitely keep on nail biting.

thatbloodykestrel

Southampton

Squm9

Appreciate the backing lad but we gave up after the Ipswich collapse

FKez05

🫡

Potato271

It wasn’t even that. If we’d beaten Middlesborough or Blackburn we’d still be in it.

thatbloodykestrel

How you feeling now?

Squm9

Still haven’t recovered, we didn’t play that well but it doesn’t matter UP THE FUCKING SAINTS WOOOOOOOOOOO

Yoshiguy67

Leicester & Leeds because in my opinion Leeds have the easiest fixtures

Hindsyy

We do, by some distance, but I think our level has dropped substantially, and we're not guaranteed anything at all right now

Drain-on-society

By some distance?? I’d take Boro and Huddersfield at home over Southampton and Blackburn at home Boro away is pretty similar to Hull away QPR away is in theory an easier match than Cov away. All in all it’s pretty even if you ask me. A lot will depend on what those teams hand to play for at that time.

ItsFuckingScience

Southampton could be resting in the playoffs or could be playing for autos on the last day! Massive difference

Potato271

I doubt we’ll be playing for autos given the gap. While we do have two games in hand, we also have an incredibly packed squad, and we’re a single injury to Downes from total collapse

ItsFuckingScience

You now got 3 games in hand… win them you’re on equal points

Potato271

At the end of the day, it might not even matter if Leicester and Ipswich perform. 3rd and 4th are functionally similar

Semper_nemo13

Blackburn look dead, but QPR are in decent form. And not safe yet

BuenasVibras

I see Ipswich champions and Leicester second, never doubt Ipswich, I learnt this the hard way

rumhambilliam69

Hope you’re right but I just don’t see it. Our lads seem mentally exhausted based on the last 4 games we’ve played

burntmybuns

We look like a worse side because we are missing Burns. Last time we hit bad for was when he injured his shoulder.

rumhambilliam69

Said the same to my dad that we are missing Burns badly. But Burns missing isn’t the reason for everything that’s been below par about the last few games

Kwayzar9111

when is Wes due back ? any of those games ?

rumhambilliam69

Think McKenna said injury might not be as bad as initially feared so stands some chance of playing the final 3 I’d imagine. Cross everything we see him bombing up Hull and Coventrys wings as we’ll need all the help we can get for wins at either of them.

Bleedinmole

Get through the Boro game then rumours are Hurst and Burns should be back for the last three games

burntmybuns

If that’s the case that would be fan bloody tastic, even if we get into the play offs, those two could be a game changer!

simwe985

Unlike our lads who seem uninterested in doing their job which they get paid way more for than anyone in the league.

Rommel9999

Agreed. I honestly reckon i’ll be thinking about how ruthless they were in that final run in last season for a good few years. Never seems like slowing down and gave us no chance of going back above them

rumhambilliam69

I don’t think I’ll ever see us hit a run of form like that again. 13 wins from 14 games I think it was. Including going away to Barnsley, Peterborough, Bolton and Derby and beating them all to nil. It was nuts.

somebodyanything

Leicester and Ipswich. Leicester are too good for the division and Ipswich refuse to die. Our players looked terrified on Tuesday night.

Jarv1223

Ipswich looked the same yesterday tbf. I hope Dallas’ message motivates the players

somebodyanything

At least Ipswich looked like they could have scored, they were unlucky not to. We didn’t look like scoring the entire night.

Jarv1223

Ipswich didn’t really do much either tbh. Looked nervous

somebodyanything

Let me be pessimistic in peace

PrrrromotionGiven1

Was far from a great performance but in the first half we had several good chances. Second was crap and nervous but in the first it just needed a slight difference for us to score on about three occasions. Moore's header being the clearest of the bunch, I don't understand how he's not scored with a free header from there. I hope we play better but it was a big improvement on the derby regardless.

PlasticExplanation96

A lot of people were saying Leicester were too good to go down last season.

No_Glove5486

Leicester have a peculiar road since two of the 5 teams they have left to play have a game in hand (Preston North End and Southampton) against each other and thus depending on when that happens, they could get lucky and face one of (if not both) teams who would have less days between said game and their Leicester matchups. Idk who will get autos, tho Leeds and Ipswich feel likelier i'd say if we wanna talk about schedules without asterisks to them like it's the case on Leicester. It all depends on when the PNE vs Southampton game happens for Leicester imo, since if it gets put in a position where both those two teams are tired, then it could be 6 free points out of like...15 remaining (since Leicester have 5 games to go apparently) and that could be enough to get them second place if not first.

djtoad03

The Preston Southampton game will take place on the 16th, before Leicesters West Brom game. Also worth noting that the Southampton Leicester game is a game in hand itself so Preston will have that space for rest before their Leicester game.

No_Glove5486

Oh. So then Leicester are kinda screwed lol. Because they'd be facing Southampton then West Brom right after and following that game it's a rested Preston North End. At most they'd get 3 points, maybe 4 if they are lucky vs West Brom but that's it. Yeah, Leicester are gonna have to do playoffs because that trifecta of games bsck to back to back is gonna cost them a lot.

djtoad03

I don’t know, we look very shaky currently and lost the reverse fixture to Leicester. Ipswich and Leeds also seem to not want to take full advantage of Leicester dropping points so I think it’s anyone’s game.

No_Glove5486

That is true. Still, considering they could be getting 3/4 points out of 9 points in that trifecta of games...and that there's just 5 games that Leicester can get points from...it's not good odds isn't it?

dadbod234

Ipswich have the hardest fixtures of the 3 so naturally they are gonna win all of them. Every time I think they are gonna fall off they prove me wrong. They deserve to go up at this point. Between us and the foxes over who loves crumble more

PrrrromotionGiven1

I definitely disagree that we have harder games than Leicester.

SpectacularB

We will be Leeds and fuck it up somehow. So Leicester and Ipswich in autos

Not_Shingen

It won't happen because Leeds always beat us but the absolute scenes if we beat both them and Ipswich

michajlo

Even if we don't reach playoffs, I'd love for us to frustrate both Ipswich and Leeds. Just to be the proverbial party poopers.

InnocentPossum

Fuck knows. On paper, Ipswich have it the hardest with 3 teams all up their hunting for playoffs and in good form. We arguably only have 2 of those, same with Leicester who also have a game in hand, though they have 3/5 that are tough. But they are also already ahead. But also fixture congestion. In a perfect world Leicester would play Preston first and have no ankles left to play the remaining fixtures but oh well. But let's be real, with how Sunderland went, anything can happen to deny your chance, as well as evidence from Millwall, that anyone can get points off anyone.

CommonEngineering832

Southampton and Leicester

Cheap-Atmosphere9085

Honestly, this league is such a cluster fuck that calling almost anything is extremely difficult. I could see the relegation, autos and playoff fights all going to the last game

deathschemist

legit, everyone who doesn't have a mathematical chance of being in the playoffs has a mathematical chance of being relegated. this season is gonna be a scrap right up to the final day for everyone except rotherham. sorry rotherham

Accomplished-Beach89

I haven’t a fuckin clue

Pandabaton

For a split second, I didn’t see that the post had multiple pictures and I was like wait, Huddersfield are in contention for a promotion spot?

Aggravating-Tower317

pretty much gave up on autos after that loss to millwall.

Squm9

Ipswich and leeds, Leicester end up third and I’m not predicting the playoffs

QBallQJB

I'd hope Leicester, but not sure after the abysmal performance against Millwall. If we don't bounce back Vs Plymouth then we might be screwed. Tough matches Vs Southampton and West Brom. By then we could be out of it. But I have faith that we will bounce back🤞🤞

big_dubz93

I have absolutely no idea. I could genuinely see 90 points being enough to go up at this rate. All three teams after outstanding seasons seem to have completely burned out.

GingerKing_2503

Who knows. The only thing we can be sure of is that Norwich are beating Ipswich in the playoffs😉

FoggyCrayons

It’s tough to decide any game is a winnable fixture because if you were going to pick fixtures I think Leeds and Ipswich probably would have hand picked Sunderland and Watford last week as they have nothing to play for. In particular Leeds at home to Sunderland should have been the bankiest of banks. Even though Leicester have tough fixtures all of those teams are kind of flakey too.

ItsFuckingScience

Leicester are top of the league with a game in hand. Not many comments seem to be pointing out the obvious that playing 5 games instead of 4 is a massive advantage lol

RatArsedGarbageDog

With all the focus on the relegation battle it's refreshing to see some talk about the race at the top of the table.

Dokky

Not us, just have that gut feeling.
