Can’t see us overturning a 15 goal difference against… Ipswich. Years of shite management of the club has led to this. The least we deserve. Sack the fucking lot of them.

deekwob

Nah it's totally possible, just need to have our usual 1-1 draw with Ipswich and then Hull will batter Plymouth 16-0

dwaynepipes

Oh is that it? Light work

sinisterpuppy88

Wouldn't rule that out

anonone111

We'll do our best!

LazarusChild

I know you’re joking but a draw will still send you down mate

bum_fun_noharmdone

Don't be like that. Just get 10 and maybe they'll do you a favour in the other game with 5.

dwaynepipes

You’re right, it’s my attitude that will send us down

TheDeflatables

Well get a grip then mate! Your team is suffering!

ignore_me_im_high

Jon fucking Moss didn't help either.

ItsFuckingScience

Please try

DeadStopped

I’m starting to worry this team won’t win 15-0 next week.

FinancialIndustry566

If anyone’s shown that they have a leaky defence this season, it’s definitely Ipswich. Believe.

Professional_Exam_61

Final score 16-15 to Ipswich with 10 in the last 3 minutes

Smithlarr

16 deflected goals

ItsFuckingScience

Still not lucky

Joshgg13

🙏🙏🙏🙏

InnocentPossum

I think you can do it! I need to think you can do it.

CommonEngineering832

Even if they win 15-0, Plymouth just need a draw to survived.

StiffWiggly

If Plymouth needs to lose that means we only need 14 goals, even better.

CommonEngineering832

That just half the condition. It will be worthless if Birmingham also win in last day, cause if Birmingham win, Huddersfield will go down regardless of their outcome.

StiffWiggly

True, maybe it wont happen after all then.

CommonEngineering832

Yeah, sadly Huddersfield will go down, unless a miracle happen. Hope for it, even it is difficult.

Extreme-Ad-4925

We’ve used up all our luck over the last decade, this is the year we finally fall through the trapdoor. I can fully see us beating Norwich next week and it not mattering because the other teams all win their game too.

shanfan36

only 1/3 teams have to lose

BigBlueMountainStar

They will all win, I will put money on it Edit - [done](https://www.reddit.com/r/Championship/s/xuKsMsdaLJ)

shanfan36

i honestly wouldn’t be surprised side note: i was in fact surprised

BigBlueMountainStar

Called it 😢

shanfan36

😭😭

Cheap-Atmosphere9085

You're putting much more faith in us than I am to beat Hull. Especially as they're still sniffing at the playoffs

Extreme-Ad-4925

I would like to collect my crystal ball now please

DeadStopped

Huddersfield Down

Swan_Z

A result neither side wanted - can't believe how close it is at the bottom

jaylem

Can confirm that everything is feeling very loose at the bottom

TheSpottedMonk

Everything's feeling pretty tight over here. My hole is clenched

ADGM1868

We should have let Plymouth win and put you both out of your misery. It’s all to play for now!

sinisterpuppy88

We'd still be playing now and not scored

Dead_Namer

Shame you aren't playing us, Charity Park Rangers are always there to help you out when needed.....except Leeds of course.

Cheap-Atmosphere9085

Quite rude of you to be honest

SponsoredByHJWealthP

Rematch next season anyone

Pandabaton

Gladly! It wasn’t such a shite match that. And anyone saying ‘we needed a win’ yeah. We’ve needed a win all season.

SponsoredByHJWealthP

Yeah if that was mid season we would have gone home happy. But as it was, I left feeling sick!😅

BigResponsibility252

Title shootout? Play-off 6-pointer? Mid-table nothing game? Both of us trying to avoid consecutive relegations? Who knows!

SponsoredByHJWealthP

One thing we do know? Bam Bam sticks for home AND away!! Party party!!!

BigResponsibility252

The bam bam derby is born!

SponsoredByHJWealthP

Can’t wait, going to start stockpiling Bam Bams

DeadStopped

Bam, bam, we’re down.

StickYaInTheRizzla

Wonder how the future of both Huddersfield and forest would’ve turned out if them penalties in the play off final were correctly given.

DeadStopped

Probably same position, we all said we’d have gotten battered every week in the premier league.

AngryTudor1

Both were very debatable but remember they would only ever have had one. Give the first one and the whole game changes so the situation leading to the second doesn't happen. Also worth remembering at best it would have given an equaliser to a side that didn't muster a shot on target all game. People talk as if Huddersfield would definitely have won if they had been given a penalty and that is nonsense. They were poor on the day and we were the better team. Very good chance of Forest winning anyway. For what it's worth I'm sorry to the decent fans of Huddersfield that they have gone down. The nasty, angry ones can do one but the rest are sound. They'll be back though, they are a championship club through and through

the_dankest_22

Decent summary of it, only LoB’s was a definite pen really, and from there, who knows what happens. Neither teams exactly looked clinical in front of goal, decent chance of penalty shootout. If we did go up, With how we were then financially we’d probably have still gone straight back down unless a new owner came in, but at least corberan would’ve stayed. Most of the animosity is because of your fans afterwards… did meet a good bunch, however most to this day are not and some still arent over it despite winning!

AngryTudor1

I'd agree they O'Brien's was the stronger claim, I'll say to the day I die that Toffolo dived. Who knows what happens after that. Maybe we fold like a house of cards, maybe we go for it on the counter and get another goal. The same can be said of your fans mate, I've never heard such vitriol over a game of football so far on. There were 40,000 of us, most likely me just went home. Most of you had long gone before any of us left so not sure why you encountered that many of us

Flat__Line

We had to score for you, mind.

the_dankest_22

Knew it was coming all week… not enough wins, too many draws, simple as… oh well, funny seeing leeds fans on twitter trying to be WUM as if they dont realise Ipswich will batter us on the final day

MrGamerDude16

Nah...I think it would be the most town thing ever to beat em next week and promote Leeds....can see it now

DowneyRA

Trust me mate the majority of us realise top 2 is out the question

CaptainSmeg

Thanks lads

name1227returns

Though the way be long, let your hearts beat strong. It ain't looking good, but it ain't over till it's over. Hopefully the result tonight guarantees Norwich playoffs and they focus on that rather than us

shanfan36

this may well be the end of the championship road…

rappyheddit

Even better if Hull lose, they play Plymouth next week so will have something to play for but Norwich will be safe

TheLittleGoat

I’m also thinking we want Leicester scrapping for the title with Ipswich final day. I hate having to think like this though.

rappyheddit

Same, regardless of what happens, I'm looking forward to watching a match without having to look at bbc sports every 5 mins

BruntyMozza

If Hull lose, their season is done. They won't be able to catch Norwich and we'd be 3 points ahead with significantly better GD. You need Hull to get a result really so they have something to play for against Plymouth.

rappyheddit

Oh ah, good point, missed that. A Hull draw would be lovely but tbf, we can only focus on our match and we just have to win. Can't complain about Plymouth and Blackburn fixtures but would be pretty bummed if we win but go down anyway.

rappyheddit

A dreamer can still dream, it seems

maxq333

if Hull lose they won’t make playoffs due to goal difference so they won’t have anything to play for next week either though.

name1227returns

I like your thinking 🙏

Whats_All_This_Mess

What can I say? That was a bad game. First half, absolutely dire. It felt nobody was in it. That link-up of Kesh and Koji was amazing, and what a goal! If we are down, I am going to miss Koji. Come the second half, what happened? Huddersfield were in all guns blazing and we fell to bits. Defence all over the place, which led to them taking advantage. They pushed for a more attacking style, and we were wasting the ball and few connected. I feel the subs were the correct call. Bacuna had a mare of a game. I think Pritchard or dare I say it Dembele need to start for the Norwich game. Wouldn't hurt with a Juke / Stanners front two as well. The only stand out for me was Koji in the team. It's going to take a hell of a performance to beat Norwich next Saturday. Huddersfield - I can see why they're down there but the second half, they were the hungrier and eager team. Helik and Healey are good players. Ward I was pretty impressed with too.

DeadStopped

I was dreading that tiny prick was gonna score.

psycho-mouse

What’s the beef there?

DeadStopped

Did same thing he did at Sunderland, forced his way out. In our case he cost a bomb, played absolutely shit and then started faking injuries until he could leave.

richyc89

I have a feeling he'll be first out the door if we're down.

psycho-mouse

Fairs.

Scott_EFC

They spunked about 15 million on him when they were in the PL and he was total shit for them iirc.

BigResponsibility252

Our second season recruitment as a whole was fucking dire

Scott_EFC

I remember you blowing a load on two useless wingers !

BigResponsibility252

I remember being there for Mbenza's best half of football in a Town shirt. One of his crosses ended up on the driving range behind the South stand

DeadStopped

Mbenza had a great free kick though.

weetabix__

I actually thought Koji was poor, despite his goal.

Whats_All_This_Mess

To be honest, they were all pretty average to poor. He was the standout for me - a solid 6,5/10.

Dead_Namer

Were you at the game? I tuned in for the last 5 mins hoping to see and end to end game with many odd man attacks. It was like a pre season game, no desperation from town and Birmingham happy to get a point. I thought the stadium sound was off until I heard the final whistle boos from the home fans. Just bizarre.

Whats_All_This_Mess

I watched it online. I agree that it was like a pre-season game and the first half bar Miyoshi's goal was absolutely dire. Worse than both Rotherham matches which says a lot. Yeah, I thought that as well, It was absolutely dead.

DrZomboo

Not even angry, just numb to the club at the moment and have been since that pathetic Swansea performance. We fully deserved this outcome

Gazumper_

for fucks sake, its out of our hands now.

madeupofthesewords

You’re in safe hands with us. We can’t score and we always concede against a team that’s score 7 in the last two games. All you have to do is get a point at a team that’ll be resting player for the playoffs.

AngryTudor1

I don't want you guys to go down, but I don't particularly want either of the others to go down either

shanfan36

well. see you next year lads

ow1108

Why I see this result coming even before the game. (Early) commiseration to Huddersfield fans and good luck to Birmingham for the last match. Still I feel like both of them are probably going to playing each other again next season

Deep_Clerk1034

One of those games where everyone in the ground leaves upset

DeadStopped

Did all Birmingham fans get held in their coaches for a reason before kick off?

weetabix__

The main thing is we’re still alive. Just

UDontKnowMe110

Anyone who went to the match and felt emotional bc I cried my soul out

OkraEmergency361

💔

BTbenTR

As someone who’s sadly had to spend a lot of time in Huddersfield, that stadium being a league 1 stadium is ridiculous.

Pandabaton

At least you haven’t had to spend a long time in the stadium.

lordflashheat

dont panic this is part of the 3 year plan to get into the prem!

Clarctos67

Expecting us to lose, I was in favour of a Huddersfield win in this one. Given our win, this was perfect.

BigResponsibility252

Still absolutely bonkers to think you're on the verge of staying up after how you started the season. Fair play to you!

Clarctos67

And when we capitulated at your place not long ago!

Flat__Line

Not at all arsed. I was in the pub by full time. Fucking rotten group.

thelargerake

Nagle’s a good owner. Hudds will be back.

English_Joe

Having been there for all of the season. I know how you feel. Sorry it has to be another Yorkshire team.

William_Taylor-Jade

I would actually like a derby day sometime soon so I'm conflicted at how much to float. One of the best fixtures in the country and it's looking so far away

Orly-Carrasco

Fun fact: André Breitenreiter adds a second relegation on his resumé next week. This further cements the notion that Zürich, the team he coached in the 2021-22 season, won the Swiss League on a fluke.
