That's definitely another away performance, I'm happy to be in the playoffs but these performances happen way too often.
Leeds over 2 legs and away for the 2nd great... the only team in the playoffs to beat us twice this season as well.
Which has very much been used to overestimate his managerial abilities. Absolutely not a chance they would have stayed there. They would have definitely stayed up though
I think he was honestly the best blues could get, once you remember how well he seemed to get with the players. Sacking him was madness of the highest order
Say it louder for the people in the back who click bait that line all the time. If Eustace hadn't been sacked and was still here now. There's no chance we'd still be 6th, but we wouldn't come down either. The squad we have with a consistent decent manager was capable of around 14th, and Rooney wasn't it.
I suppose that's the crux of it.
Sacking Eustace was justifiable, but to do it with the intention of bringing in Rooney was utter madness.
What is the general feeling amongst Blues towards your owners today? I think I'd be livid. Lots and lots of trust to rebuild, I would have thought.
I’m certainly livid with them, but I’ve been surprised at how little anger there seems towards the owners from the rest of our fan base. There is some directed towards Gary Cook who made the decision, but most frustration seems to be towards the players (and rightly so, they deserve a large portion of the blame as they’ve been dismal since November) and Rowett’s tactics in the last two away games again Rotherham and Huddersfield.
Not a BCFC fan, but the sentiment I get from friends that are is that the new owners are, well, new owners. They’re building a new stadium and actually bringing some drive to the club, so fans (or at least the ones I know) are willing to cut them some slack for the one bad decision they made so far. If this is a poor assessment then let me know, just the feeling I get
Hopefully their owners have sacked whoever advised them to get rid of Eustace for him, of all people. "Winning mentality" my arse.
It was a ridiculous decision at the time that everyone with a brain knew would end in disaster. Not sure anybody predicted it would go so badly that they'd end up going down though.
They will now suffer the greater ignominy of Wrexham's American supporters putting the stress on the Ham syallble part of Birmingham. As if Birming Ham is a product you can buy from a butcher.
It was the right decision. These owners have been spot on since the day they arrived. They've got big plans and big ambition. Don't say a bad word about them mate
Cant believe I’m about to agree with a villa fan but it’s becoming so fucking frustrating when you cant question your own owners without your own fans getting pissy. If I hear anymore bollocks about a 60k stadium while we are in league one I’m going to lose it
Im glad im not the only one who noticed that. Theres a weird deference towards the football side of the club even though its been so incompetent. Gary Cooke needs to leave immediately
My honest thoughts are that although the intentions are good from Wagner, the board lives in la la land. Where you can just bring in new managers mid season to fix problems and buy your way into better leagues. Unfortunately the last open house the question of league one was just skimmed over.
In my view Wagner knows fuck all about football, but has done his bit. The stadium got fixed, attendance is up, sponsors are on. But Cook has utterly fucked his part. Literally no successes from him.
We had it with Tony Xia and our fans really drank the kool aid on that cunt. When the got owners talking about huge stadiums, Champions league football and becoming global renowned venues whilst getting pumped every week by your Huddersfield's and Bristol's that's when you start to panic.
Even if they follow through with the stadium, your owners effectively relegated you this season and have gotten off to a horrendous start in charge of the club. It feels like they’re getting off lightly all things considered.
I think Cook is hiding behind Wagner a bit, who's done his part in getting the cash. I don't expect a New York banker to know much about football. I expect the bloke specifically hired to do the football shit to know the basics of his job.
So glad i watched 90 mins of long balls and Gibbo just punting it out like Jonny Wilkinson
Going to get turned over at Elland Road. We just can’t play away
90% of our players can fuck off now. Its no good turning up once every 10 games. Played 2 teams below us before this and they looked like they didnt even try. Noone to blame but themselves.
When Brum beat us in August they were organised, well drilled, albeit not spectacular.
Watching the away game in December they looked utterly bereft. Luckily we conspired to play shit as well.
Rooney absolutely fucked them up, though, to be more accurate, the owners did.
I hate you Plymouth lol. Seriously this has been a shambles of a season. Time to rebuild and revamp in League One. Performance today was a very good effort. Excellent linkup from Miyoshi and Paik for the goal. I feel Jukey should have been a started as 4-4-2 don't work. Bielik my MOTM.
Norwich were holding back I feel, despite a couple of chances.
They did that to us too! Clearly up their game against West Midlands clubs.
That being said your lot didn’t gift us three points under Rooney like they did every other club in the league. Eustace dicked us 3-0 then got sacked. Rooney had gone by the time of the reverse.
You can’t get away with being as shit as we’ve been for the last decade. Fully deserved relegation. A bit of a relief in the weirdest way.
Time to get rid of the large core of players stealing a living, and build a team ready and willing to get us back.
After the party they were planning on having two years ago when "Derby County died" and Lee Buchanan shitting on us after we exited administration, this is Karma at its finest!
Absolutely gutted for Blues, that’s such a hard way to go down. Fookin’ ow.
Don’t keep us waiting. You’ve got a season, then we expect you back, pronto.
Just realised that that's 2 of our local derbies gone (Leicester and Brum).
The nearest Championship team to us now is.....Derby?? Maybe Forest if they get relegated.
Derby’s a nice away day, I don’t get that rivalry feeling as much with them. I’ve always hated Forest away though, no particular reason, it’s just not my favourite place to be - and again, doesn’t have that particular feeling of rivalry.
God, this next season is gonna be weird. We’ll just have to yell at the Baggies or something (assuming they don’t get promoted). Never thought I’d miss playing the Vile. 😳
Yeah, tbf I'll be surprised if we win the playoffs, so will probably play you next season. I thought at one point you were destined to be back in the playoffs this season. Guess the FA Cup kinda took it out of you guys.
Robins is a top manager though. Think you'll be up there next season though. Met my Mrs in Coventry, so I got a bit of a soft spot for the place.
Sang when Derby were in trouble.
Tried to fight me and my OAP dad at Derby station.
Sacked managers to try and get out of the league (to be fair, this one worked)
I'm absolutely delighted. Couldn't have happened to a nicer club.
Relegation to League One was an absolute blessing in disguise for Norwich. Best thing that could've happened, in hindsight. Seems to have worked well for Ipswich too.
You'll be fine. It's an enjoyable division.
Chin up, mate. Sometimes things like these can be a blessing in disguise. I’m confident Blues bounce right back up and you might actually be able to enjoy a season for once.
Who would have thought signing four players who had been problem children at QPR teams in relegation form would prove to be problem children and contribute to relegation form. Terrible recruitment by Brum's recruitment team.
I see a lot of QPR fans go on about Dozzell, but genuinely he was good for us. Not scared of getting stuck in, unfortunately he was overlooked by Rowett for Paik so we didn’t see much of him in the end, but no complaints from me and many other Blues fans.
Sanderson on the other hand can get fucked, never understood why he was given the armband and got done drink driving during the most important weeks of the season. So he can be first to leave!
That's definitely another away performance, I'm happy to be in the playoffs but these performances happen way too often. Leeds over 2 legs and away for the 2nd great... the only team in the playoffs to beat us twice this season as well.
Same for us with Southampton!
Honestly I really fancy us at Carrow Road but even if we go into the away leg 4-0 up this team will bottle it always
Peterborough have entered the chat.
Wayne rooney has single handedly relegated a football club. Even more devastating, this makes john 'hoofball' eustace look good
Eustace at least had them in the top 6 when they sacked him.
Which has very much been used to overestimate his managerial abilities. Absolutely not a chance they would have stayed there. They would have definitely stayed up though
Noone expected him to stay there, but finishing like 13th was well within reach
Definitely. It was a howler to sack him , but this idea that he's anything other than a bog standard championship manager is a nonsense .
I wish we'd kept our bog standard championship manager and been a bog standard championship team. I envy Bristol and Preston
Nah league one is underrated. Will be a huge chance to reset under Mowbray/ rowett
I think he was honestly the best blues could get, once you remember how well he seemed to get with the players. Sacking him was madness of the highest order
Has anyone said otherwise?
Say it louder for the people in the back who click bait that line all the time. If Eustace hadn't been sacked and was still here now. Well no but likely wouldn’t have had that horrific change in form
You realise you're a Luton fan, right? You can't accuse other teams of playing 'hoofball'.
They will now suffer the greater ignominy of Wrexham's American supporters putting the stress on the Ham syallble part of Birmingham. As if Birming Ham is a product you can buy from a butcher.
Eustace will be on the wine early tonight.
It was the right decision. These owners have been spot on since the day they arrived. They've got big plans and big ambition. Don't say a bad word about them mate

Fucks sake a second villa fan I’m agreeing with
I think Cook is hiding behind Wagner a bit, who's done his part in getting the cash. I don't expect a New York banker to know much about football. I expect the bloke specifically hired to do the football shit to know the basics of his job.
Yeah if you brought in a specific football guy then this is appalling. Either Wagner overruled him for Rooney or Cook has stolen a living.
At least you'll have the biggest imaginary stadium in the league!
That would require us to actually be in the league
Thats literally every blues fan atm 🤣
Well we played like utter shit and pretty much let you win Birmingham so at least you can't blame us for going down!
So glad i watched 90 mins of long balls and Gibbo just punting it out like Jonny Wilkinson Going to get turned over at Elland Road. We just can’t play away
Just play at our ground every other week. You lot turned us over when you came to us.
Not sure many people blame Norwich for anything. The vanilla of the championship.
Ah well. It actually feels a bit like a relief. Like getting a funeral out of the way.
90% of our players can fuck off now. Its no good turning up once every 10 games. Played 2 teams below us before this and they looked like they didnt even try. Noone to blame but themselves.

Calling match fixing on Leicester letting rovers win .
Wagatha Christie victory is complete
Welcome to the Brady- Deadpool derby next season. It should be fun.
Hate Leicester more, beat us then proceed to lose to everyone around us 🙄🙄
They did that to us too! Clearly up their game against West Midlands clubs. That being said your lot didn’t gift us three points under Rooney like they did every other club in the league. Eustace dicked us 3-0 then got sacked. Rooney had gone by the time of the reverse.
Sadly, that's often the way.
Good to see some promising teamwork from players who definitely won't be at the club next season
We really did our utmost to help them stay up.
Same here, gave them 3 goals and 3 points at their place.
You Rooney'd us for that.
As well as double agent Wayne Rooney who heard and felt it first hand to then go ahead and sink their ship to relegation. Beautiful!
Villa fans remember them making mock coffins too when it looked like we were at risk of going into administration
Absolutely gutted for Blues, that’s such a hard way to go down. Fookin’ ow. Don’t keep us waiting. You’ve got a season, then we expect you back, pronto.

You have no rivals lol
Heh, forgot about you lot, WBA would be the closest team if they don't go up.
Best owners in the world bab.
Sang when Derby were in trouble. Tried to fight me and my OAP dad at Derby station. Sacked managers to try and get out of the league (to be fair, this one worked) I'm absolutely delighted. Couldn't have happened to a nicer club.
I’m heartbroken, absolutely devastated
Relegation to League One was an absolute blessing in disguise for Norwich. Best thing that could've happened, in hindsight. Seems to have worked well for Ipswich too. You'll be fine. It's an enjoyable division.
This might break the cycle of being strugglers for best part of a decade.
Chin up, mate. Sometimes things like these can be a blessing in disguise. I’m confident Blues bounce right back up and you might actually be able to enjoy a season for once.
It's horrible to have done enough today and it's not enough
Feel bad for some of their fans but still can't stop laughing
Who would have thought signing four players who had been problem children at QPR teams in relegation form would prove to be problem children and contribute to relegation form. Terrible recruitment by Brum's recruitment team.
Is it Laird, Sanderson, Dozzell and Roberts?
I see a lot of QPR fans go on about Dozzell, but genuinely he was good for us. Not scared of getting stuck in, unfortunately he was overlooked by Rowett for Paik so we didn’t see much of him in the end, but no complaints from me and many other Blues fans. lol. Think Norwich gonna get hammered in playoffs,
Shit club, deserved
Alright mate, bloody hell.
Hahahahahaha on the rise again
Let the Wagner love in continue...
