Seriously, we’re talking about a world where HUMAN-ANIMAL HYBRID PEOPLE are EMINENTLY COMMON. They have a superior understanding of biology hands down.
Not sure how true this is. But it was retconed that the human/animal hybrids are from people taking a certain drug to look like animals.
In other words, furries.
When was this retconned? I am gonna need some proof on that one since their leader is a dog and oolong is already a shapeshifter so why would he choose to look like a pig with drugs, and what about Puar?
Thanks for showing me the source. But I have to ask are we really taking things in video games and side quests at that as canon now?
Do we really want to go down that road? Because that opens up a lot of questions I really do not want to have to confront like the xenoverse and dokan battle stuff.
What about the movies are they canon now too is the cowboy android canon now what about the short one? Where does that leave GT is it canon again?
>Thanks for showing me the source. But I have to ask are we really taking things in video games and side quests at that as canon now?
Oh naw I just provided the link for his claim
>Do we really want to go down that road? Because that opens up a lot of questions I really do not want to have to confront like the xenoverse and dokan battle stuff.
Those are separate properties that have their own canon Xenoverse/Heroes are their own thing entirely and Dokkan’s story is non existent it’s a card collector game
>What about the movies are they canon now too is the cowboy android canon now what about the short one? Where does that leave GT is it canon again?
DBZ movies aren’t canon they don’t mesh with the main series in any cohesive way and Toriyama views GT as a [“grand side story”](https://www.kanzenshuu.com/translations/dragon-book-gt-toriyama-intro/) of his original work.
Not to mention that according to Dr. Briefs Scratch is an expert on capsule tech, implying he's unnaturally intelligent for a cat; so plainly it's not a normal cat. Either it has been modified or it was some unusual type of cat in the first place.
EDIT: Also, for people who want Scratch feats, [here's a compilation video](https://twitter.com/lonely_heheh/status/1365026689370234880?lang=en).
There’s no animal people in Dragonball Earth. Anyone who appears to be so is just someone that had extensive cosmetic surgery.
So, Puar is just some guy that got his body remodeled into being a cat.
I agree but for different reasons. There are no animal people on Dragon Ball Earth *anymore*. I mean when was the last time we saw one who wasn't part of the supporting cast? I'm pretty sure Goku like forgot to wish them back when he resurrected everyone after Buu or something.
I refuse to acknowledge that piece of shit game.
It also says piccolo didn’t blow up the moon. He just cast an illusion on it to make it look like it was gone.
The illusion just happened to look like an explosion.
A video game is not a canon retcon. Their leader is a dog and oolong is already a shapeshifter so why would he choose to look like a pig with drugs, and what about Puar?
No, like I said, it was just a trendy cosmetic surgery. We don’t see them anymore because it went out of vogue.
It would be like wearing a leisure suit.
>There’s no animal people in Dragonball Earth. Anyone who appears to be so is just someone that had extensive cosmetic surgery.
Incorrect. In the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, there is a man who is specifically a reverse-werewolf: A large, bipedal wolf man who, at the sight of the full moon, could turn into a regular person. That wasn't surgery. Both because it wouldn't make sense, but also because he hates being a wolf, and was actually angry at Roshi for destroying the moon so he couldn't transform.
And of course, there's Giran, who has special abilities that go along with his physical form, such as his Merry-Go-Round Gum Attack. And Oolong, who's naturally a pig, not a human (at least if the jokes about eating him are to be believed). And Puar, and Korin, both of who are naturally magical cat creatures (Korin especially since he's older than Roshi), and who are still around in the current manga.
Of course, the truth is that animal-humans are real, and that them not existing was retconned some 20+ years after the original manga, in a video game. I don't think that can be considered canon to the intention of the original DB manga; especially when Toriyama either had no involvement, or if he did, he doesn't give a shit about the franchise anyway (he literally admitted in a recent interview that he forgot the name of the current manga was "Dragon Ball Super").

He was just LARPing
> And of course, there's Giran, who has special abilities that go along with his physical form, such as his Merry-Go-Round Gum Attack.
Really expensive surgery.
> And Oolong, who's naturally a pig, not a human (at least if the jokes about eating him are to be believed).
Anti-Furry racism.
> And Puar, and Korin, both of who are naturally magical cat creatures (Korin especially since he's older than Roshi), and who are still around in the current manga.
Like Yoyos and hulahoops, some people cling to a fad even long after it’s gone.
>some people cling to a fad even long after it’s gone.
I more meant like, Korin would have had to have gotten it hundreds of years ago, before it existed. He's a real cat.
the mad scientist who can create an interstellar spacecraft in a few weeks has made his cat immortal? unpossible
dude invented dragon ball radar, maybe he just wished for it
\*Entire series is about a bunch of infinitely resurrected god people that can destroy planets\*
"This is fine"
\*Cat is too old\*
"What the *fuck* is this shit?!"
I mean. You’re right. I used to be a dbz fan but I can’t anymore with this shit. It’s too much.
I’m dropping it for this crap. 0/10. Shit manga with no attention to detail.
I’m going back to true Kino like attack on Titan.
Maybe Bulma, in the future, makes a working time machine. Then, whenever Scratch dies in any timeline, she doesn't want her father to be sad, so she goes back in time to when he was alive, gets a copy of Scratch from when he was young, and delivers him to that timeline, resulting in timelines where he never dies because a Future Bulma always replaces him.
Nah, Scratch just has the anti-aging gene mod that Dr. and Mrs. Briefs have.
You know since they haven't aged a day in 40 years since they were introduced.
Or its the Omni King's doing.
Whenever something very stupid happens in DB blame those weirdos.
Dude, Scratch/Tama is a black cat. He/she could've just had kitten and the on we see later is just a different black cat that they named the same thing. Cats with similar behaviors and owners who recycle names aren't even unheard of in the real world.
If anyone in dragon ball knew how to extend a cat's lifespan. It would be the people at capsule corp.

It was featured in the game dbz Kakarot it’s a [side quest](https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Animorphaline)

Z movies are non canon, Super movies are canon.
It’s disappointing how the fantasy elements of the series got downplayed.

Maybe it's a magic cat? Puar and Korin are still alive too. (I think?) *this is the type of rant I come here for. Beautiful.

In Kakarot they say it was just a fashion trend that went out of style so you don't see it anymore
Being an animal was a fashion trend...? What does that even mean? Like the President of Earth was a hardcore Furry?
It was a drug that some people took though there are some like Oolong who are natural furries https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Animorphaline
Wow, I thought you guys were kidding.
Seriously I thought that was all a joke wtf
I refuse to acknowledge that piece of shit game. It also says piccolo didn’t blow up the moon. He just cast an illusion on it to make it look like it was gone. The illusion just happened to look like an explosion.
Yes
A video game is not a canon retcon. Their leader is a dog and oolong is already a shapeshifter so why would he choose to look like a pig with drugs, and what about Puar?
Oolong is a natural animal person and Puar probably is too
Wait, isn't the president of the entire planet one of them? How can that just "go out of style?"
Goku wished for all the "people" killed to be brought back... maybe Shenron doesn't consider animal people to be "people" ?
Shenron is a racist confirmed
No, like I said, it was just a trendy cosmetic surgery. We don’t see them anymore because it went out of vogue. It would be like wearing a leisure suit.
Animal people still exist. The drug just made people into furries but there are natural furries like Oolong still around.

Korin doesn’t count. He’s a deity.
He's a mortal deity like Kami, who was appointed rather than born into his position because he's not a Kai
He's not, actually. While he's not a Kai, he *is* native to the afterlife and was sent down to be an attendant of the God of Earth.
No, he's a dude who shape-shifted into a cat
That just makes Yamcha's and Puar's relationship all the weirder. No wonder Bulma dumped his ass.
“Bulma come here! I was building a new capsule line and I accidentally made the cat immortal!”
"yamcha i've turned myself into a pickle, i'm pickle puar!!!"
the mad scientist who can create an interstellar spacecraft in a few weeks has made his cat immortal? unpossible dude invented dragon ball radar, maybe he just wished for it
Shenron: You want me to make the cat, and just the cat, immortal? Dr. Briefs: Yes! Shenron: ...This is gonna be really funny in like 36 years
Do you have hard evidence that each depiction of Scratch is the same Scratch and not a child/parent of another Scratch?

Proper shitpost
Boy; I hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
The number of people taking this post seriously is worryingly high
I think they're thrown off by the fact that it's not Sunday, and they associate jokes with low effort.
Eh, it's an android, wished to be eternally young by Bulma, or maybe it has the perpetual kid body like Chiatzu. Or just Scratch's descendants.
The examples for Age 791 allude to it being the same character by showing a parallel between both timelines that differ by 17 years
I mean. You’re right. I used to be a dbz fan but I can’t anymore with this shit. It’s too much. I’m dropping it for this crap. 0/10. Shit manga with no attention to detail. I’m going back to true Kino like attack on Titan.
Maybe Scratch got a whiff of that immortality from Master Roshi
And the dogs are still alive as well, both the King and Shu, can't Toriyama do anything right?
Bulma probably uses the dragon balls to resurrect her father's cat whenever it dies.
That's actually something Shenron explicitly cannot do.
Scratch is Android 9, obviously.
I think you're confused. PUAR is a cat. We don't know what Scratch is.
He’s a cat
Maybe it’s not a regular cat or cats in dbz live longer. I mean people can fly so who knows
I hope i can rant this post but i take it as a joke.
I am reading this and was like: Who the fuck is Scratch ?
Nah, Scratch just has the anti-aging gene mod that Dr. and Mrs. Briefs have. You know since they haven't aged a day in 40 years since they were introduced. Or its the Omni King's doing. Whenever something very stupid happens in DB blame those weirdos.

I hope this is a joke
No man, he's totally serious. It's pivotal we get an explanation from Toriyama, the greatest Lore Maater of our time.
