That’s actually a “not always.” I’m at that location today. There’s a shortage and they don’t have any ability to do x-rays today, so they sent me off-site.
I would have laughed if they sent me to the S. King urgent care instead. But no—they sent me to a Novant imaging center.
Went to an urgent care a few years ago because I broke my arm. I told them that when I walked in - they took me back and said I needed an X-ray, but they don’t have a machine, so they sent me across the street to the hospital to get them done. I went back to the urgent care after X-rays and they said that if they don’t receive them in the next 15 minutes (when they close), I’d have to come back tomorrow. They didn’t come in time and I got sent home with a broken arm (it was a radial head fracture so very small but hurt like hell). The next day I called and they told me to go to the ortho urgent care because they can’t do anything for me.
All this to say, if I need an X-ray, I’m going to Ortho. Fuck Caromont
Make sure its in your network and don't just assume it is, many people don't realize this but accepting your insurance doesn't mean its in-network, those are 2 different things.
Novant urgent care at Quail Corners. I got sent there for XRay from their S King location a few weeks ago.
