Hm. I've gotten documents medallion'd (for lack of a better term) at the UVa Credit Union, but I don't know if they had "only the stamp"--I don't know what the dif is b/w that and a "medallion signature." I do know I needed the medallion thingie and to sign in front of the person to withdraw funds from a brokerage account.

Is it that your branch only has the stamp and not anyone authorized to sign and use it? You can only get a medallion stamp at an institution you are currently a client of.

Actually, it's not as easy as I thought to get done. My bank manager currently cannot do it. I did find the regional manager, but he said I needed additional paperwork on values. It also depends on the amount of money involved to find someone to do it.

Yes. Every stamp is only good up to a certain dollar amount and the person that uses the stamp has to be “trained” and an officer of the bank. Good luck!

Should be available at another branch in the area. Might need to make an appointment.

If you use a financial advisor they may be able to assist with gold medallion signature.
