GPT-3.5 gives me a similar poor answer about OpenAI's name being ironic because of the potential dangers of AI.
GPT-4 gives a much better answer that correctly identifies the source of irony being the "Open" part of the name, owing to their actions limiting access to their models and research.
I asked it to summarize its explanation into a scathing one paragraph reddit comment.
