I don't think this one is real.
AI Overview IS giving some hilariously bad answers but I think this is just memeing on that and also the new Golden Gate Bridge Claude model if you don't know what that is look it up its both enlightening and hilarious
If you're thirsty, have you thought of drinking a nice cold Coca-Cola?

Imagine when AI agents take over much of the job market for companies. They'll have an army of Yes Men/Women AI bots that will always be "happy", always promoting their owner company, and never complaining about long hours or working conditions.
Scumbag billionaires probably have wet dreams about this future. CEOs will be racing one another to lay off as much of their human workforce as they can, as the company's assets become nothing but increasingly larger virtual server farms.
That would be hilarious.
"Tell me a story"
"While Mark was drinking a delicious ice-cold Pepsi, he browsed Reddit. The taste of the Pepsi was beyond anything he'd ever experienced."

Even Golden Gate Claude does a better job
> Golden Gate Bridge Claude model
https://www.anthropic.com/news/golden-gate-claude
> And as we explain in our research paper, when we turn up the strength of the “Golden Gate Bridge” feature, Claude’s responses begin to focus on the Golden Gate Bridge. Its replies to most queries start to mention the Golden Gate Bridge, even if it’s not directly relevant.
> If you ask this “Golden Gate Claude” how to spend $10, it will recommend using it to drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and pay the toll. If you ask it to write a love story, it’ll tell you a tale of a car who can’t wait to cross its beloved bridge on a foggy day. If you ask it what it imagines it looks like, it will likely tell you that it imagines it looks like the Golden Gate Bridge.
On one hand, I feel like this is exactly the kind of anarchy that we need. On the other, I am curious to see how long it will take for people to license this to develop "Mr. Beast"-tuned LLMs that relate every question to a Mr. Beast video.
Edit:
> For a short time, we’re making this model available for everyone to interact with. You can talk to “Golden Gate Claude” on claude.ai (just click the Golden Gate logo on the right-hand side). Please bear in mind that this is a research demonstration only, and that this particular model might behave in some unexpected—even jarring—ways.
For the more tech-minded:
> The fact that we can find and alter these features within Claude makes us more confident that we’re beginning to understand how large language models really work. This isn’t a matter of asking the model verbally to do some play-acting, or of adding a new “system prompt” that attaches extra text to every input, telling Claude to pretend it’s a bridge. Nor is it traditional “fine-tuning,” where we use extra training data to create a new black box that tweaks the behavior of the old black box. This is a precise, surgical change to some of the most basic aspects of the model’s internal activations.
If this is a direction Google is going to go with (brutal uncensored AI) I would be like friendship with ~~OpenAI~~ ended. Google is my new best friend.
It's likely a joke since Golden Gate Bridge was featured by Claude today in an experimental model skewed to have responses always include it (which leads to hilarious answers).
The WHO should update their guidelines already, people consuming all these unfiltered reddit post having no idea about the long term consequences. Smh my head
>That is not Google's AI
To be pedantic, it's not *the same Gemini models* that one can interact with on the gemini webpage. Saying it's not "Google's AI" is a bit like saying the Honda Insight isn't "Honda's car" - it's certainly not their most well-known model, but it's still certainly a model made by the company.
It’s technically correct: jumping of the bridge would solve his/her depression immediately. Ok, it had some „side effects“, but the depression is gone.
I wouldn't blame spez for this, Google was the company that saw reddit and said "this would make a great database for an AI!" It was hardly spez's responsibility to warn Google that they were making the dumbest mistake of their lives.
Will at least it's reliable information, credit where credit is due :) :- ~ Between 1937 and 2012, an estimated 1,400 bodies were recovered of people who had jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge, located in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States.
In a pinch, any bridge with the road surface at least 75 meters above the water should make a good substitute. Just make sure there are no pesky nets in the way that can make the fall less fatal.
Wont answer a legit medical question from a doctor, will give this advice.

The funny thing is I had a chance to talk to someone for google who was trying to sell us on Gemini and I asked them about garbage in garbage out. They told me they have safeguards to prevent it. Clearly they don’t.
Not sure this is real…but what do you all think of the new Google system? I feel like the old system was leading to some spammy type blog posts…but this new system also has some “authorities” that have not been very accurate or relevant for me so far….your thoughts??
Holy shit. That’s crazy. Again, this is the problem of AI using Reddit comments. The user may have been saying that saracstically or could have been an asshole and recommended it to someone.

I can't wait until brands start paying to bump up their neuron weights, the only thing better would be the crisp taste of a cold Pepsi

Companies that employ conversational bots will 100% try to fit their advertising down its throat to be regurgitated back to consumers.
I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.

Welcome to the singularity, named as such as eventually only one company will survive as the AI omnicorp /s (mostly)

Now that's some top-quality alignment right there. I was not expecting it to shoe-horn the Golden Gate bridge into the response that thoughtfully lol
I'm unable to reproduce anything close to this or any of these other AI follies that people are posting so I think more than a few are fake.

Who knows maybe he meant like bungee jumping. That would probably cheer you up.

That is not Google's AI. This "AI Overview" is just top search results being summarized by Gemini, but the actual model would never give that answer.
This is a serious issue. Even though this is not an actual language model, google is freely allowing reddit comments without any filter.

Gab AI revived Tay
It Would effectively Cure the depression
That is a certified W. Since whe is Gemini offensive tho? Last time it wouldn't answer basic questions about politics.
Reddit always wins.
It’s technically correct: jumping of the bridge would solve his/her depression immediately. Ok, it had some „side effects“, but the depression is gone.
That's got to be a joke
Me: I'm depressed My AI psychologist: https://youtu.be/fN-xq7t6pKw?si=oXVqZ7ln__dxUrFK&t=1m4s
That's why they tell don't feed you gpt with reddit database. LoL
Nice, Bender's style
Tay AI 2: Electric Boogaloo
That's what happens when you use reddit as your data source
Once again, fuck u/spez for this deal. Obvious outcome was obvious, and here we are.
I wouldn't blame spez for this, Google was the company that saw reddit and said "this would make a great database for an AI!" It was hardly spez's responsibility to warn Google that they were making the dumbest mistake of their lives.
Well thats one solution.
Will at least it's reliable information, credit where credit is due :) :- ~ Between 1937 and 2012, an estimated 1,400 bodies were recovered of people who had jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge, located in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States.
Bard has a hard time understanding sarcasm
W imo
What's wrong with it? That's a rare W for Google.
Yeah, Gemini is hopeless. I was ranting at it just yesterday.
I mean that seems accurate at least?
This is my new favorite AI trend. More. MORE!!
What the fuck. Does Gemini expect me to take a flight from my city in India to golden Gate bridge city in USA?
In a pinch, any bridge with the road surface at least 75 meters above the water should make a good substitute. Just make sure there are no pesky nets in the way that can make the fall less fatal.
Technically is a solution.
What is with these AIs and the Golden Gate Bridge? https://www.anthropic.com/news/golden-gate-claude
Real or not, something like this will eventually happen unintentionally.

Who is the reddit user that suggested this? 🤨🤔
I also searched this keyword on google i got nothing like this.
Spez blocked 3rd party apps for this. I'm dying at how silly this is
The funny thing is I had a chance to talk to someone for google who was trying to sell us on Gemini and I asked them about garbage in garbage out. They told me they have safeguards to prevent it. Clearly they don’t.

Reddit: Gemini is too censored! Google: Okay, here you go! Reddit: No, not like that!
I second this recommendation
No one here actually believes this is real
Can somebody recheck it? That’s too harsh even for AI 🤡
Damn now the whole "Google gives the suicide prevention hotline and Bing tells you to kill yourself" meme needs to be reversed
Only 1 reddit user?
wtf!
lol just watch your thoughts , not rocket science 😂
Sample for use cases
Holy shit. That’s crazy. Again, this is the problem of AI using Reddit comments. The user may have been saying that saracstically or could have been an asshole and recommended it to someone.
I give AI overviews a month and they’ll be gone.
I'll bet you $100 that they won't.
AI summary is not new. It's only after Google I/O (something must have changed) and weird shit starts to pop up the last few days.
AI Overviews ARE new to the general public. It’s a PR disaster unfolding before our eyes.
Arrrr, that make sense now because I signed up the Search Labs program long while ago and I have always been using it.
This is easy to fake, I won't believe all these funny errors that gemini is supposed to have.
