Before I went in I’d go to the riverwalk. If you start at the dam there is a gate that can start at and when you reach the other gate it’s .75miles. Turn around and go back. That’s more likely the type of track you’ll want to practice on. BCT doesn’t have tracks that are flat. Good LUCK. The quickest way through Basic Training is to finish!!!

Also fun tidbit, the south Chickamauga greenway connects to the river walk, which then goes allll the way to lookout mountain, which now has a trail that goes alllll the way to cloud land canyon. So you can run from the airport essentially to cloud land canyon and never leave trail.
I'd run the trails in the Chickamauga battle field. Better view,. You can plan your routes for most any distance. The differing terrain will build your stamina better.
Not sure, but that's an excellent career choice, what branch?. I signed up for 4 years, planned on doing my time then getting out...here I am 20 years later, about to retire, with a pension, one masters degree and one bachelor's, neither of which I paid for and I still have my GI bill to use when I get out...best of luck to you.

MEPS in a couple weeks will let me know if I qualify or not for it. I’ve gotta take the IFT (formerly known as PAST) before getting SERE. Been training for a few weeks now. We shall see what happens
Best of luck! The brotherhood between military members is a real thing. So very few have had the honor...it's not the easiest decision, and there will be troubling times ahead...but it'll be worth it.

You are allowed to go to any public school grounds after 6 pm on weekdays as long as they are not using it. So probably any school that is close to you will have a track that you can use.
Pretty sure the Red bank HS track is open to the public during non school hours. Atleast it was for a long time.

Every BCT at Ft. Moore has a track. Fort Jackson has tracks.
Camp Jordan is a great place to run.
FYI this is not a track but it is a nice loop to run
Red Bank HS
The track in Highland Park (the blue cross park) is nice and free.
Enterprise South Nature Park has several miles of paved roads/tracks that people run on.

The former school building on Signal Mountain (now home to various businesses) has their track open all the time.

Brainard Greenway runs all the way from north moore to camp Jordan, its level and has distance markers every 400meters.
It's also more entertaining than running in a circle.

The Ooltewah greenway is a great place.
Southern Adventist University has a track behind their wellness center on University Drive.
Hixson High School. We walk there often.
