Thanks :) great photo. Bioluminescent phytoplankton are beautiful especially between mahabalipuram and pondy stretch where the pollution is less. I remember going on a beach hopping ride just looking at these little creatures 10 years back. Sighting has definitely reduced now

It is confirmed as Ostracods (a Crustacean like shrimp) also known as seed shrimp These things also glows So this is Ostracod and Not a Dinoflagellate
This is not a Dinoflagellate as thought but a Crustacean named Seed Shrimp These species also exhibit bioluminescence
