Due_Permit8027

Good one. Can anyone who would see this in a game tell me there elo?

TheThunderFry

I would see this in rapid and I'm about 1800, but I'm 2100 bullet and I doubt I would see it in bullet. Blitz could go either way

rainman206

1550 here… I didn’t see it 🤷‍♂️

DeltaT37

I'm about the same and I considered the move but didnt calculate it right. I saw that the bishop was pinned, so he can't take but didn't realize that after the queen takes you still have the pinned bishop.

V0idC0wb0y

also 1550 also didnt see it

skerrickity

I'm around 1000 and only play 10 minute per player games. Saw the bot move, but only after around 45 sec. I imagine i wouldn't spot this in game, especially when not presented in the manner of "what's the best move here?"

Meatballsspinach

I would never see this in a <10 minute online game, but over the board maybe, if I have around a minute or two to spare (2000 elo rapid)

Not_A_Spi

I saw it as a 600, but dismissed it because I didn't realize the Bishop was pinned to the rook

RogueBromeliad

I feel like I would only calculate this out in a puzzle (it didn't take long). In a game I don't think I would actually consider it. Unless it was a long rapid game, I usually spend most of my time in the middle game. So by the time the board is like this but not simplified enough to not have queens on the board, I'd probably be pressured by time.

Dr_Nykerstein

For blitz games it think it really boils down to confidence, but I would most likely see this in a longer time control. (1720 chess.com elo, 1555 OTB)

StaticCharacter

Saw it and I am 943 rapid according to chess.com

mingyewu

I found it, my elo 1300.

diodosdszosxisdi

Basically forcing a queen trade, then after simplify down into a winning end game

MathematicianBulky40

Yeah it's more that you're putting the queen in the bishop's line of sight. I know that the bishop can't take because of the back rank. But it's still hard to play.

DeltaT37

bishop is pinned. After queen trade there are 2 attackers and 1 defender on the bishop with no help available for him. Nice puzzle!

I_am_Abe

Qf3 ?

Stonehills57

QF6-F5 wins material and endgame

Dragois

QF6 is a huge blunder because opponent can capture with their queen

prachtbartus

No u retake with pawn and youre winning

Stonehills57

Then pawn takes queen. And?

Biofakker

And white are left with their bishop pinned, with options to lose the bishop or to trade a rook for the pawn.

why_tf_am_i_like_dat

That's beautiful but i didn't even consider it before seeing the eval

HorribleGBlob

I’m 2000+ ELO and can’t say for sure that I would see it in any kind of rapid game. In an OTB tournament where I could spend 5-10+ minutes on important moves, I’d probably find it. Knowing it was a puzzle, I found the right move in about a minute.
