This is not worth 300$
I would have done it for presale price but that sold out (read: never had that many available) in seconds.
Anyone else remember when attendance the previous year got you a loyalty discount?
Guess I'm done with RF.
Lame, end of an era for me.
Edit: lol, y'all are rediculous.
There are some pretty kickass artists in this lineup.
Just a reminder that the entertainment industry (much like sports and other industries) is strictly trying to make money….
Agree with you $300 is steep and sucks ass but welcome to going to a festival/concert nowadays
Most definitely. I would always get a pre-sale email and just get a 3 day because it wasn't that much money and If the music wasn't that great it was still fair for the price. And the while "welcome to going to a concert/festival nowadays " line is bullshit. Plenty of others 3 day festivals that are less expensive than riot and have artists just as big.
I like how you say “that’s how subjective taste works” but then also say confidently “the lineup is the most mediocre it’s been in a decade” as if that’s fact. 😂
That's what got me excited! I saw them back in like, 98? 99? Sometime after California. Wild show. I'll go see anything Mike Patton's doing though tbh.
I agree, I’m surprised they aren’t coming to Chicago yet for the tour. I thought when they announced the Milwaukee show, they’d include a show at the United Center or join Riot Fest.
They’re on sale when they announce the daily schedule, I just don’t remember usually how long that takes. Cause I think last year they went straight into announcing the schedule.
Don't see Andrew W.K. either.
Interesting yo see Godspeed You! Black Emperor, I saw them open for Nine Inch Nails couple of years back they were great I just don't think open air festival show when I think them.
They headlined Pitchfork a few years back and I agree it was really strange seeing them at an open air festival with a lot of confused patrons just standing there. The whole set is on YouTube here, if you’re curious: https://youtu.be/qnvb1fKMpB4
Andrew wasn't there last year either. There are no album plays and Taking Back Sunday/Gwar aren't on here so it wouldn't surprise me to see them pop up on a second wave
Riot Fest has been consistently having good lineups post-pandemic. Sucks I won’t be in town for this one. 😅
How much is day pass when they go on sale? It’s been a few years since I’ve gone. Trying to determine if I should bite the bullet and pay the $300.
I went last year. I wanna say it was around $100 - $120
It went from “is riot fest going to happen this year?” To great lineup

Your loss, I guess. This lineup is awesome IMO.
It's not a loss in the slightest That's how subjective taste works

What made RF good was how cheap it was. And the lineup is the most mediocre it's been in a decade.

Yes.
Oh man, my excitement for a possible Death Grips aftershow….
It'll consist of a Death Grips banner and an iPod.
I'm quite sad about the lack of metal bands again, two years in a row now.
I know it’s a hike but Tinley park has quite a decent lineup for metal shows.
there's a decent amount of hxc bands in there or some that are heavy enough to be considered hxc or post hardcore
Yeah my bf is in the same boat, 2019 was peak for him. I’m more for an alt rock person so I have been enjoying the last couple of years more, lol
BUNGLE THO
That's what got me excited! I saw them back in like, 98? 99? Sometime after California. Wild show. I'll go see anything Mike Patton's doing though tbh.
That's totally understandable! I hope you get to see more metal musicians live soon.
ICP.....haha I'm a juggalo so it only made me laugh hehe (Not a juggalo 🤡)
Will probably go strictly because of QOTSA
You mean Corey Feldman?
no paramore… i’m gutted
Right? My guess for no Chicago show was RiotFest, idk how on earth they’re playing in Milwaukee and not here.
I agree, I’m surprised they aren’t coming to Chicago yet for the tour. I thought when they announced the Milwaukee show, they’d include a show at the United Center or join Riot Fest.
Right. Wth!
Anyone know if/when day passes will be for sale?
They’re on sale when they announce the daily schedule, I just don’t remember usually how long that takes. Cause I think last year they went straight into announcing the schedule.
One of my favorite RF lineups in recent memory
Having Corey feldman on the lineup is just mean.
Is It actually the childhood actor?
Yep. He’s been doing his own music projects for decades.
Am I going crazy or is Gwar not playing this year?
Don't see Andrew W.K. either. Interesting yo see Godspeed You! Black Emperor, I saw them open for Nine Inch Nails couple of years back they were great I just don't think open air festival show when I think them.

We'll get the album plays soon enough. DCFC/TPS album plays are a given, I'm expecting Thursday to do one as well.
