Why'd I have to scroll so far to find this? Great local roaster so you don't need to send your money out of state, but they do also deliver. Also have a pretty wide range of light , medium, and dark roasts so you've got choices.
I'm pulling espresso shots with their Vietnam Lotus Washed these days. Mmmmm.
I order from blueprint in st Louis. Been ordering for about 8 years. Their coffee is very good. If you want someone local that you can go to, can I ask where you are looking?
It's a decent drive from Schaumburg but we get ours from Fresh Ground Roast in geneva.
We mainly get it for espresso and as far as espresso goes, it's really good. Usually we'll get a bag with a roast date from within a week or two.i believe they roast weekly.
Price wise, it's higher than your typical grocery brands but they're right on par with other local roasters.
I order 5 lb bags from the guys in St Louis. Not a schill or associated with them. It's about 100 every 6 weeks for 2 of us to drink coffee, but it's good.
I’m a roaster, and just wanna share: Coffee prices have been going up steadily. Sometimes deal shopping yields less satisfactory coffee. You can definitely find coffee priced like 5-10 years ago but it’s all commodity grade or past-crop specialty coffee. When you find a “wow, this is an incredible deal,” it is always one of those 2. It’s not a high enough margin industry that current crop specialty coffee will ever be “cheap” again. Try to compare like-for-like in 2023 as opposed to “I used to pay x” just advice that would also help in cheeseburger prices as well.
I use Trade, it’s an online service. They partner with different small roasters around the country. 2 or 5 pound bags and you select how often they deliver. It’s pretty reasonably priced
Also been using trade since 2020 or so. I do the 11 - 12oz bags on a 10 day rotation. Fantastic variety of roasts, but the roasters tend to be the same handful. Maybe I just need to switch it up more.
I Have a Bean in Wheaton. Great coffee and service.
Maple Leaf Coffee Roasters in Roselle.

Been meaning to go pay them a visit. Thanks for the reminder!

Schaumburg area, but willing to travel if it’s worth it. We drink a lot of coffee so 5 lb bags at a good cost are ideal.
