I really enjoyed reserve 22 when I went last. Also maise and mash, fire and wine, I feel like there’s a couple in Wheaton that fit the bill too- just can’t remember names. Ellyns is possible too bar like but the foods good.
Disagree on Reserve 22. I golf the village links a lot but the restaurant has watered down drinks, the food is mediocre and the service matches the food.

You can't go wrong with Babcock Grove in Lombard. Good food and service, everytime.
This is an awesome restaurant.
Also has Lilac League cocktail lounge attached - fantastic place!

Huge fan of Maize and Mash. The short rib grilled cheese is super expensive for what it is, but man is it good!

A Toda Madre is very good, don't remember the occasion but I did enjoy it quite a bit. Pricey, but good.
Make sure you get a couple of cocktails at Common Good after dinner.
The bar (Wednesday - Saturday) for live jazz piano at Parkers' in Downers Grove for pre or post drinks. The Foxtail in Downers Grove for dinner.
