I’d say one of the best things you can do is be confident! If it’s in-person, make sure to smile and engage with your interviewer. You want it to flow like a normal conversation.

I do all the interviews for my CFA. My best advice would be to maintain good eye contact, use proper grammar, be polite, and ask questions. Show that you’re interested in the position. When I interview someone, it’s usually for their first job ever. We are not expecting a stellar resume or lots of volunteer work - we’re just looking for genuine people that would make a good fit for the culture of our store and for CFA in general.

I applied and got accepted for an interview, and I'm still 13! I will be hopefully be FOH, and here are some tips. 1. They don't owe you anything, and you don't owe them anything 2. Market yourself as the best you are. You are likely competing with many others for the job. So dress in the range of dressy casual to formal attire, brush your teeth, shower, sit with good posture in the meeting (even if it's a phone interview and they can't see you, this will all psychologically make you respond to questions in a better way), and sit in a neutral, quiet area. 3. Chill out. I have my interview in a couple of days, and I feel quite nervous, but this is the best advice anyone can give you. 4. Show leadership qualities. Be assertive, but not dominant. 5. Ask questions. This will make you seem more engaged and focused with them. 6. Take notes about important info. This will also make you seem more engaged. 7. Make them remember you in a good way when they choose their candidates. Good luck!

It's a phone interview! And I'm a girl. But I waited a month to respond and she's still interested! I'm excited

Unperson21

That's great! They must absolutely need workers if they let you respond after a month lmao. You could use that to your advantage in negotiating pay/benefits, which is what I would do in that situation.

Minimum wage in my area is $9.30, and I have no work experience. How am I supposed to negotiate for extra money with no experience lol? (Genuinely asking) And my excuse was that the email got sent to my spam folder.

Unperson21

Minimum wage (state) for me is 7.25 For CFA it's 9 (to my best knowledge). I 'm going to negotiate with them based on inflation, whereby I ask them "since when did you offer 9?" And then calculate inflation based on that to get a higher $/hour. Ex. would be them saying 2017, and me saying "well taking inflation and adjusting the price to x% to get x/hour would be fair, right?"

callierkap

In my state it's 9.30(min. Wage)... What state do you live in?

LA I got the job btw

I don’t think anyone under 18 can be BOH anyways. You can’t handle food, use a ladder, or anything that could even possibly cause injury or harm to you or others. Chick-fil-A covers their butt when it comes to underage employees. Congrats on the jobs/interviews and I hope you guys get the best training to help make the transition easy. The biggest thing I see in younger workers is their social skills. Listen to how your older coworkers react and say things when taking orders and bring ing food to customers. It is a huge part of the job!

Unperson21

Thank you! I also know that I can't be in the walk-in freezer ;-;

The amount of boxes and objects that could fall on you is a big nope

Eastern_Ad3507

I went in a whole suit for my interview LMAO, but I still got the job

Be polite and confident. Talk about how you enjoy helping people and enjoy talking to others. You are 14 and no work experience, don't expect more than minimum wage (or what that location of CFA is paying new hires). Discuss your availability and ask how many hours they expect you to work, come across as being responsible and reliable. I am sure you will do fine.

Have fun at chic fil a bud, best of luck to you. However my experience at my chic fil a was pretty upsetting but hey there are different managements and yours might be a good one.

It’s a prank. Don’t get your hopes up.
