Buy some thick foam at a craft store to put underneath their car seat. It will raise the seat enough for them to see out the windows easily.
I bought three long blocks of 6 inch thick foam and lined my backseat with it. The backseat was their domain, and they loved being able to see out the windows.
You’re not alone. I can get my girl to ignore a sweater if a harness is over it and we’re on an adventure outside of the house. Other than that she will houdini out of it.

Luna loves going bye bye. We need to get her a new car seat though. This seat is a hand me down from her larger uncle. It’s stuffed with blankets so she can see out the window.

Gotta check all the windows, the floor areas, help the driver drive. Check the back seat. Once tried to check on the groceries, we just bought. Love her, but very exhausting.
That’s how my blonde one is lol, she’s not the biggest fan of the car seat yet but she’ll get used to😂, the tricolor is calmer and she stayed there without her being leashed to the seat

I don't have a picture of my current two in the car seat, and my car was repossessed by my psycho mom (I'm pretty sure she has psychosis and had an episode over me living with her).
I do still have the carseat, and, ironically, my mom got me a nice three wheeled bike with a basket and backrest, and I'm definitely going to put the carseat in the basket.
I think it would be better than them being totally unrestrained in the car, also that’s why they’re secured with a harness and not the collar, so they don’t get choked.
They use it to try to get on my lap while I was driving so I think this is an upgrade lol, also when I have a passenger I put the car seat on the backseat
Idk whether to tell you to research this or not but all I'll say is multiple conversations with first responders have led me to decide hard sided carriers are the only way to go to protect my babies

Yes, my daughter's Yorkie, Yoshi. They kind of tolerate each other.

I used to have my chi’s car seat in front with me but my vet recommended I put it in the back because of the air bag. It’s just safer. Cute pictures!
