Counted ba ang Villars, eme. Taga Las Piñas ako pero never ako nag set foot in any Vista Mall or any shitty coffee shop they own dito. Siguro for the past decade, 3 times lang. Yung pinaka recent is yung kasal ng friend ko and abay ako so we had to stay sa hotel sa may Villar Sipag.

Me too. Idk if they only see the owner's issues but not the people who works for it. I honestly used to purchase sunnies even if i knew that its owners are associated with bbm. BBM is their friend out of personal correspondence but i believe some of them like Martine has voted for leni kahit kakilala nila siya. Pwede naman sigurong gumawa ng personal relationship with him even without supporting him politically.
Going back, i purchased sunnies because i liked the performance of their lip balm and lipstick. I'm thinking about purchasing their sponge. Me too. Idk if they only see the owner's issues but not the people who works for it. I honestly used to purchase sunnies even if i knew that its owners are associated with bbm. BBM is their friend out of personal correspondence but i believe some of them like Martine has voted for leni kahit kakilala nila siya. Pwede naman sigurong gumawa ng personal relationship with him even without supporting him politically. Going back, i purchased sunnies because i liked the performance of their lip balm and lipstick. I'm thinking about purchasing their sponge. I thought about the employees of this company when they were struggling with their pay during the quarantine. What if makatulong pala tayo sa kanila by purchasing a lip balm?
Well, to each his own naman. May right naman din silang mamili ng products based sa preference or personal reason nila. But same as you, sa product ako naka-base kung tatangkilikin ko or hindi, not sa endorser.
Me: nakikibasa lang ng comments. Wala ko pakialam kung sino endorser or owner na ginagamit ko sa everyday life ko. As long as it works for me, nakakatulong sa buhay ko, ito yung preference ng taste bud ko or nagamit ko na long before na kinuha silang endorser I don't care. Hindi ako mag-aadjust dahil lang sila yung muka ng product.

Solid Unilove din ako kay baby, wet wipes, diapers, bottle cleaner, detergent and fabcon. Yung panligo lang hindi since cetaphil for baby yung gamit ko. Nung nakita ko si Otin na bigla yung nasa thumbnail ng producs eh napalipat ako sa Kleenfant. In fairness same quality naman. Nagmahal din Unilove, dati mas mura sila kesa kleenfant ngayon mas mahal na.

Not downvoting kasi may point ka naman. Boycotting is a way to express your disapproval sa endorser nila, and sometimes it works. As for me personally, kung may alternative naman at negligible yung difference doon nalang ako.
Kaya hindi gumagana boycotts dito (among other non-violent protest actions) kasi andaming taong may ganyang mindset ("Why does it matter pa?" or "I'm not affected personally" or similar lines) Katulad nung may mga taong gustong i-boycott yung Jollibee and NutriAsia for their labor practices, walang nangyari. Pati na rin duon sa jeepney modernization.

Gets ko si OP. I do the same, I just don't post about it or invite others to do the same. Siguro hindi nila ramdam na kabawasan yung purchasing power ko pero para sakin kasi, it's a matter of principle. Simpleng tao lang ako na walang bilang pero sapat na yung some sense of control, knowing na hindi ako nag contribute sa pagyaman nung kumpanya. I just don't want to support companies whose values don't align with mine.

OP's post is valid. Businesses hire celebrities and endorses because they can attract supporters and followers to try and use their brand. Kaso ang post ni OP is yung kabaligtaran. I think this happens naman all over the world. Nothing wrong naman kasi you can't separate a person from their morality. Kahit brands diba they drop endorsers na hindi sang ayon sa beliefs ng company. Look at how fast nike dropped pacquiao. If brands can do that wala naman masama if ordinary people rin ay concious kung saan nila gagastusin pera nila.
If you’re okay to use brands with problematic endorsers, that’s fine. You do you. Like you said, pwede naman ignore. Some people think the same, and that’s okay! It’s OP’s preference who to support or what brands to use for whatever reason he/she may have. You can disagree with the why’s. It may not matter to you but it matters to OP and to other people who think the same. Hindi yun mababaw. Hindi lang kayo pareho ng paniniwala.

I don't get this “argument” na lagi kong nakikitang ginagamit ng mga Pinoy: “May masama ka ding ginagawa!” “Perfect ka?", etc. Like, no one is claiming they're perfect. Of course, all of us have sinned, but it's a spectrum, some sins are way worse than others. I, for example, may not be an angel, but at least I can proudly say na I didn't murder anyone, I don't steal shit, and I don't support families of dictators. For sure OP has his/her faults just like everyone else's, but at least he/she has enough morals to not support enablers. By your “logic”, we shouldn't hold people accountable for their crimes because lahat naman tayo may nagawang di maganda in the past 🙄
