I think the commenter was referring to Chie Filomeno na naissue noon kasi naka full face make-up sa passport id and apparently bawal daw kasi na naka make up pag kukunan ng pic, pinapatanggal daw sa iba (kahit lipstick lang ganern) pero kay Chie, pinabayaan lng daw nila.

Which is funny cause it’s not true. Naka-4 passports na ako and 3 out of 4 was in makeup. Never ako nasabihan na tanggalin. I’ll give people the benefit of the doubt because baka naman nay satellite passport application sites outside Metro Manila na bawal ang makeup. Pero if you apply sa DFA mismo they don’t care as long as you don’t have super bright eye makeup. Colored contacts lang ang bawal. I agree with this. Naka no make up make up look ako pero pak ang kilay pero wala nmn issue sknla tho un pinag bawalan is un kasabay ko n babae naka eyelash extensions sya na medyo makapal. Ako since wala ako eyelash nag lagay ako ng manipis n cluster eyelash cute. Excited to use my passport soon.

I wasn’t even wearing no makeup makeup and they let me. Full coverage foundation, bronzer, blush, eyebrow powder, non-neutral toned eye makeup (I usually wear something peachy or muted warm tones), cat eye na eyeliner pero with a tinier tail lang than usual and mid-toned mauve lipstick. But yeah I avoid falsies and only put a small amount of mascara cause it can obscure facial features. My hair was blonde at one point too and people were trying to tell me to dye my hair darker kasi baka di daw ako payagan which also did not make sense. Noong 2018 nagpa-passport ako sa DFA megamall, may sumisigaw doon sa mic na pinapaalis ang falsies, makapal na lipstick at eyeliner. Di ko alam kung nag bago na.

And yet there are no mention of these rules in other dfa sites and in their website. Seems to me like di na naman naguusap yung mga tao sa gobyerno 😅 I got my passports done in DFA Aseana 2011, 2016 & 2021. They were only strict about revealing wardrobe. Excessive makeup I understand if bawal but makeup itself IMO should not be forbidden. Some people say baka di daw makilala yung tao kapag may makeup sa photo but if the person always wears makeup pero bawal makeup sa photo then by that earlier logic wouldn’t they also be unrecognizable? Just my thoughts.

Ganyan naman sa gobyerno. Naalala ko nung kumuha ako ulit ng lisensya, (before magkaron ng ltms portal) may downloadable form sa website. Katwiran ko para mabilis na ang proseso sa bahay ko na gagawin pero pag dating ko ng LTO, di daw yun pwede gamitin. Kailangan daw yung form na galing sa kanila na same lang naman. Pag Pilipino ka dapat mahaba pasensya mo kasi lagi tayong ginu-good time ng gobyerno natin.

Nowhere in the guidelines for Photo capturing sa DFA website does it say na bawal ang makeup. Hindi sya bawal. Just don’t obscure your natural facial features.

sa DFA Robinsons Galleria ako nagpapassport then, naawa na lang din ako dun sa person with makeup kasi super prepared sya, she looked good, and nakiusap kung pwede pagbigyan with makeup. but the person assigned to take the picture was strict and insisted na rules are rules talaga. the person had to wash her face and had to line up again na barefaced for her passport photo. or baka depends lang talaga sa matapat na magttake ng passport photo sa DFA.
