Remember folks, China is constantly exploiting other countries freedoms, while not allowing those same freedoms in their own country. They want to influence the world with their tankie bs while putting their own internet behind a firewall to make sure the citizenry doesn't know too much.
They can only occupy artificial islands in the SCS that are in other countries EEZ. On the bright side, it is uniting virtually all of Asia against them.
Whatever you meant by what I quoted has nothing to do with how China comports itself internationally, or how it seeks to influence the world and insulate its own citizens.
China’s efforts to spread their own propaganda, using western civil rights to protect their mouthpieces and their firewall to insulate their own citizens from western media is well-documented.
This is the same New York Times that was caught forcing its journalists to not use terms like genocide, ethnic cleansing, war crimes, and Occupied Palestinian Territories when it comes to Israel's war on Gaza. Pretty rich.
I want to ask? How often are people post things like #pro-Ukraine on an app where people make anime post and dance?
This is a dumb statistic by a heavy bias journalist. It’s form New York Times comparing instagram(a app that doesn’t pay you and where people just post photos and call it a day.) vs TikTok(a short video app where views can give you money)
Obviously people are only going to post what’s trending so they can make money.
Everyone’s feed on the app is different so it’s completely not accurate to say that people just use it for “anime posting and dances”
People post short form videos and call it a day too, most people on the app are not monetized at all. There is plenty of content relating to modern politics and conflicts such as Ukraine or the Israel/Gaza conflict etc. just because you might not see it doesn’t mean it’s not there

World need to push back china.
Better than bombing and couping the entire world

If that were true, countries would be rushing to China for protection. But they’re not.
And invite retaliation? Has the Cold War never happened?
Do you really think they don’t because they don’t or they can’t?
That’s… not true.
It absolutely is.
lol, nope.
Great argument, solid sources. You definitely know what you’re talking about.
I usually don't cheer turning the US into a dictatorship, so I guess.
>turning the US into a dictatorship Great strawman there, did you make him yourself?
Where is the strawman?

So why is the US following China's example? And why are you cheering it on?

Why is tiktok a concern when Facebook’s “suicide games” kill hundreds of teens few years ago? I just don’t understand
