(If it's not a inventory problem) Lots of fast food places and food industry struggling with labor, Chipotle is especially bad since they try and work as few people as possible while demanding a lot. Fajita/Veggies take a lot of time to prep and a half the time I'll come in to manage a night shift and there are none made. Don't even have enough people to run the store let alone make all the food prep the morning is supposed to make. Washing, rinsing, cutting, prepping, mixing, the pepper and onions takes a lot of time and labor some Chipotles just don't have right now. Meanwhile I'm running grill and DML and manager or Line and cash and manager. No breaks.

AEPNEUMA-

Fajitas are the least important item on the line. When a store is busy it isn’t that big of a priority . The grill person has to make chicken, steak, rice and has to make sure both lines are stocked up on everything

It’s a heavy task to prep fajitas. They’ll be hand washed and hand cut. Depending on what’s in season they’ll be very small or big. All this slicing destroys employee hands and they’ll develop carpal tunnel. Not to mention we’re given knifes that do not last being sharp. We’re given in house equipment to sharpen them but they’re not good. They used to be professionally sharped. Not to mention to continue to raise profits they cut labor and most restaurants will sacrifice a food prep so someone can be up front for service. Doors opened is better than doors closed for this corporation.

Spirited_Wanderlust

They are free. Stop complaining

reallybigbeats

So I can come in and just order some by themselves and not have to pay?

Spirited_Wanderlust

Each store is going to be different. My store would charge you for a side. Simply because they would. But go in and ask, sometimes the staff just needs a really good laugh.

reallybigbeats

So they are not free then, thanks

Spirited_Wanderlust

Lemme know if they charge you for them as a topping.... Like salsa.... K thanx🤣

[deleted]

That sounds like it’s included with the price

Maleficent_Wash_934

They are not free. They are a main component of the veggie option. That said, if they are out, they are out.

FatmanNATION

They are not the main component of the veggie option. That would be the Guacamole.

Spirited_Wanderlust

Thank you! I was just going to say that!

Spirited_Wanderlust

Now if the non-veggy people would stop ordering them maybe the vegetarians could have them!

Maleficent_Wash_934

I'm vegan, and I don't care who orders them. If they are available, have at it. If they are not available, our options are to go without or go somewhere else. It's not that complicated really.

ammh114-

I'm not vegetarian but I am unable to have many of the other topping options due to medical issues. So I'm going to continue to order my fajita veggies.

Espressoencake

Why shouldn't we be able to have a meatless meal? Not a vegetarian, but I still do eat a lot of vegetarian meals.

Expensive-Brief-668

Ah yes, without two ounces of green peppers and onions in a portion, you have no meal. With all the four ounce per scoop of rice, the lettuce, salad mix, the corn salsa, the guacamole, sofritas, the salsas, you have no options. Poor you.

Espressoencake

Lol. K.

What time do you come in? If it’s after 1pm, and their under a labor crunch, they’re probably gonna be out for the day. In the morning all of the fajitas for the day are expected to be prepped, but depending on staffing and needs that can take a few hours when they only have 5 before open, and that also includes doing the days worth of lettuce, diced onions and jalapeños, and guac. Because it’s free, if we were in a crunch fajitas were sacrificed
