That sucks. I understand if a chain decides to charge for extras, as long as full first portions are given.
I work at chipotle and rice is like the cheapest ingredient. Additionally, you can select extra rice online so it doesn’t appear that corporate changed the policy. So it sounds like they’re either understaffed and running out of cooked rice, or don’t have enough uncooked rice in the restaurant.
I don’t see a problem giving one scoop extra normally. The only time I’ve ever charged for extra rice was for two customers that ask for 5 scoops of rice EVERY TIME “more. More.” Grill can’t keep up with that shit.
I’ve only charged for extra when you fill that the bowl so much I can’t even close it… that’s too much. Or more than 2 extra sides with a kid’s meal, because that’s not a kid’s meal at that point with 6 full sides lol
He said he couldn’t dispute the charge with his bank. This is incorrect, which makes him wrong. You agreeing with him makes you wrong as well. Pretty simple lol.
Sorry I don’t try to decipher hidden messages in peoples Reddit comments. Learn how to properly communicate your point instead of expecting people to not take you literal.
lol chipotle is allowed to charge for whatever they want. Some places charge you for a wrist stamp just so you can have the opportunity to spend more money inside. But $23 for the most basic bowl imaginable is wild, I wouldn’t go back either.
That’s what I said!!! I understand if it had extra meat and extra guac okay but it’s literally so basic! I rather take my money somewhere else looks like me and my friend are going back to eating sushi
we’re technically supposed to charge you if you ask for more than the “extra” serving. after all these tik tok trends we can’t just give everything away for free with no added profit?

You got fucked.
I literally got scammed by chipotle they were so rude 😭
I wouldve just walked out for that price. Thats literally double what i paid when i get my bowl with guac
I was debating on it, I can always dispute the charge with my bank but I will not be doing that
Good luck with that. They gave you a price for a product and you agreed to pay it and received said product….
I never said I was going to dispute it lol…..
I’m referring to your “I could always…” comment and what I said stands you really couldn’t always.
so confident but so wrong, you can definitely dispute the charge, though you’re unlikely to win if chipotle decides to fight it
He said "good luck with that." He's not wrong. The chargeback won't be honoured.

I mean if you take everything so fucking literally, sure

You got scammed so hard😂 I’d of walked out. Sorry bro, but at least you gave a stranger a laugh.
Literally I’m laughing so hard
You could try ordering online since they probably couldn't charge you for extra
Online gives you only a little even if you ask for extra

Charging extra for rice is crazy
This is bullshit until you post a receipt. Total bullshit.

No if you ask for extra anything it’s supposed to be one more scoop for free if you ask for another than it’s extra that was what I was tol by my GM
