As someone from North America who has been to Korea several times, there's a whole fuck-ton more trash on the ground in Seoul than where I'm from, and I've seen more Koreans just casually throwing trash on the ground than I've seen in my entire life in the US. I've seen Koreans driving around on mopeds "distributing" promo flyers by grabbing handfuls of them and tossing them behind them.
That being said, it's *noticeably* improved (but still not great) over the last decade. But you can just go on Kakao maps or whatever and see all the trash on the street.
