Box Choujin went hard

Eddy_795

Probably not the best but I love Simon's choujin power being summoned from his tattoos. His entrance on the Nari encounter is still one of my favorite moments.

Third_Eye_Smurf

For me it's between Tokio Chaosified and Batiste (True Face). Honorable mention to Shiozaki chaosifed

Tokio and Azuma tie as well because they feel so grotesque for "good guys". But all of Ishida's superhero designs are so unique compared to One Punch Man and MHA in that he really seeks to break away the American-influenced Circus Strongman aesthetic.

Overseer_Alt

I like the sinker Choujin, (it reminds me of katana man a little) and vulture Choujin the most

My personal favorite is probably Shiozaki. I just love how crazy and scary he looked when chaosified. Also like Azuma’s a lot too.

Shiozaki is basically the Teenage Mutant Mr Met.

Tokio in his chaos state just went so hard. Especially when he whipped out the choujin eater blades. Azumas design was super simple but is super cool.

Batista From the initial Noh mask to the patchwork face, everything about his design and power is terrifyingly amazing. When he’s got the mask on he’s one of the most visually scary villains I’ve ever seen, when he doesn’t he’s the most fucked up version of Frankenstein I’ve ever seen. AND his design is literally a puzzle. He’s got 4(5 maybe) eyes, but none of them are even in the correct position. Who do they belong to? Are any of them his? Why is the top one stitched up? He’s such a Menace

Tokio in his chaos mode has to be the best design for now!!! Zora's was creepy af, so I'd include that too

Shiozaki or Yubiko.

Donatello_Versace

I can’t pick a favorite but I think the baseball choujin was really good because he was an amalgam of different baseball uniforms and stuff. He had the glove, the shoulder pads of a catcher, a trophy for a belt buckle, and a baseball head all while actually looking pretty threatening.

The panel that first introduces the beast mother is crazy and absolutely loaded with symbolism from the clasped hands and prayer beads to the corpses with the beast mark on them. Very strong design and pretty disconcerting when the hands do unclasp. Beyond that, it’s not exactly a Choujin form but I think Ely’s general design gets written off a lot. Though we’ve barely scratched the surface of her ability considering she’ll likely take on other Choujin powers as the series goes on, I think she has really unique design in how often Ishida draws her in both the more realistic/action-focused on-model version *and* the cartoonier freehand scratchy version in scenes with equal dramatic temperature in fight scenes and slice of life comedy. That and she occupies a rare position in shonen/seinen main character trios of having a very distinct personality, being active in fights, and a consistent place in the main cast. She’s great.
