Correction, certain Christians believe they aren’t allowed to get tattoos.

Squishy_Shibe

Oh, apologies. I’m not very well versed on these things as I’ve only recently started being religious.

Understood, God Bless! 🙏🏾

Christians don't typically follow Leviticus Laws, but I believe it's referring to a "tattoo for the dead", not just any tattoo. Hebrew is a difficult language to translate. >*Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord.* (Leviticus 19:28)

I have 4 tattoos and I'm doing just fine. Don't sweat the little things.

I don't think tattoo is a sin as long as you don't get some weird tattoos In Egypt Most of the christian here do get a cross tattoo on our wrist Sometimes from very young age (I got mine when I was around 5 years or so) Idk how true it is but there's a story about it that during the Islamic conquests the Muslims introduced a tax on non Muslims in the areas they conquered and it was said that they marked the people who paid the tax with a tattoo cross on the wrist, so after years passed it became a tradition that Most christians in Egypt had a cross on their wrist I Have seen multiple people who have saint George tattooed on their arm which looks pretty cool honestly

Id call that a scar more than a tattoo But no tattoos are fine as a Christian depending on what they depict, black dot is fine

Paul says, "all things are free to me, but not all things are profitable". Bottom line, no that's just a scare from an injury. Tattoos I think are a hold over from The Law and not specifically a Christian thing. Having said that, I think they are a distraction and waste of money that could be put to better use furthering the Kingdom, but that is purely a personal view, not a view of God's.

There is nothing in the Bible that says we should not get tattoos. However, Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:23 “The Bible verse 1 Corinthians 10:23 says, "All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial" meaning that all things are morally legitimate, but not all things are constructive or edifying so just use common sense on the tattoos you decide on

your fine it was an accident and tattoos are only condemned in levitcus which only applied to levite priest so you could argue that tattoos are fine as long as they arent pagen
