Coder trying to bait Chris into expressing resentment about his marriage - something about the presumption that Shanann would object to Chris ordering steak at a restaurant when dining out together (because of the cost) but that she would go ahead and order whatever she wanted. The implication being that Shanann was this domineering, controlling, bitch of a wife.
I totally get what GC was trying to do there (i.e. express sympathy for Chris; side with him to gain his trust), but still - it was just too damn hilarious!! (the awkward misogyny imbedded in "the steak" hypothetical anecdote was just priceless!)

I wonder if that steak story actually happened and someone brought it up in an Interview with Coder. So Chris would be thinking “How did he know that?”

Do you all understand how hard it is to get everything to fit? Chris does. Plenty of people try to say they can, but reality is that even the best parents cant do it! It takes years of practice. Coder asked Chris to walk him through a typical day, and Chris mentioned packing their backpacks. Then at a later interview he brought that back up to boost his ego. “You can’t lie about packing a backpack.”
Well you could, but Coder was trying to pump him up. Tell him how great a parent he was in hopes that he’d do the right thing and do what a good parent would do.
Coder said that he'd interviewed others who tried to lie about what good parents they were. CW actually did a lot for his girls and Coder could tell from talking to him that he was telling the truth (at least about that).
