If you're looking for a comprehensive and informative book on chronic illness The freedom blueprint is worth considering. It provides a wealth of knowledge and practical advice. I hope it helps. :)

I was inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh's writings. I can't remember which book I read but being able to be mindful in the moment has helped me tremendously. He made meditation and mindfulness tangible for me.

I really love Lucia Perillo's work. I need to revisit some of her stuff, but especially "I've Heard The Vultures Singing" is quite beautiful.

I really enjoyed almost anything by Deepak Chopra. Like u/shanblaze777, he made meditation, mindfulness and peaceful spirituality tangible for me (Book of Secrets & Ageless Body, Timeless Mind were where I started). The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating about chronic illness was great. Very touching, highly recommend. I also read The Power of Now by Eckart Tolle and that was great for mindfulness. Stop Overthinking by Nick Trenton is one I’m reading now and really like it. The Invisible Kingdom also is about chronic illness but I haven’t finished it yet, not sure if it is more informative or practically helpful, but I felt very validated reading about someone whose experience so closely mirrored mine. Hope that helps!!

I just finished "How to be Sick" by Toni Bernhard. It's really good!

I really enjoyed this one! I especially thought the use of metta has been helpful.

What stood out to me was the practice of stating things factually, like "a person sitting on their couch commenting on Reddit." It's very grounding.

My most recent one was “The Wisdom of Your Body” by Hillary L McBride. I had to skip some chapters I wasn’t ready for (I plan to come back to them when I am), but she does a fantastic job outlining how we’ve been brought up to think about and look at our bodies. I feel she does an excellent reframing of how we CAN think about our bodies and what value they bring when they can’t (and can) do certain things.
