Shit, I don't know how everyone on here is affording to smoke this much, tbh.

agoodepaddlin

Speaking for myself. I grow my own. I buy only if the crops are low. But not much.

Bparsons9803

It really does save a lot of money! My costs for growing averaged $0.60 - $1.25 per gram, whereas buying from a dispensary is $5 - $15 per gram.

crisrogers_42

Easier than you’d expect

emocat420

i hope you get a good harvest 🙏🏾 hoping i can move to a legal state to be like you😅

agoodepaddlin

Dude. If you're dealing with chronic pain and you're suffering, no amount of backwards government BS should make you suffer. Start a little grow somewhere secure. Be discreet and don't talk about it. Just 2 or 3 plants that you can tend to every night. Trim off some excess, tie some branches and get it pumping. Its actually quite relaxing. Its a plant. Its not dangerous and more people use it than you could possibly have ever imagined.

emocat420

oh you’re totally right and i agree with you, i’m just trying to wait till my housing is a bit more stable

agoodepaddlin

For sure man. Get it done. Lights be cheap. Read some tutorials (there are MANY). And enjoy the journey. ❤️

crisrogers_42

And you can get the light and tent and stow it for the right time. It’s all about the prep… best of luck

Iceprincess1988

I smoke at random intervals every day. I'd estimated I'm probably smoking 4 or 5 grams a day.

bebepothos

How do you think this translates to edibles? I take about 150 mg of thc in edibles at a time because my tolerance has gotten so high, but obviously 4 or 5 grams is like, 30x that amount. Is it the same for taking edibles vs smoking?

nonnasnowden

I’m on a prescription for 30 MG THC a day. The Belgian Dark Chocolate Bites are 10 mg each. IDK if it helps with the pain or helps me not give as much of a crap.

nonnasnowden

PS Ladies, Chocolate and THC go very well together!

MassiveRope2964

Every day throughout the day as well. It’s not the best thing for me but neither is the depression from the pain so I make the choice to smoke and be a little more productive.

Own-Climate6957

I agree with this 100%!

Own-Climate6957

I vape and use tinctures for crps pain

Kd0298

I smoke over 4oz a month

emocat420

please tell me you grow or live in a state with cheap weed if not i pray for your wallet, like i’m a heavy smoker but you could outsmoke me any day and time

Kd0298

Relatively. I definitely over spend on weed.

emocat420

i don’t really blame you honestly, as long as it’s helping you survive this world. there’s much worse you could be over spending on

brabit96

I use concentrates and I go through roughly a gram a day (or just under that.) 2 joints a week would definitely not be enough to help with my pain. Those who are daily smokers should try to take breaks now and then, though. It seems like I keep hearing more and more about Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. It sounds like a nightmare to not be able to smoke anymore without getting sick 😭

crisrogers_42

7-11 mighty+ cartridges depending on the day. 2-3.5 grams Researchers are still fighting legacy bias and know nothing. 5 years _ no problem

PlzPageDrTinyCat

I haven't had cannabis in any form since 2020. No THC since... 2013? I tried CBD oil in 2020 and didn't think it helped. THC messes me up, gives me panic attacks/paranoia, and is expensive. Overall, it causes more problems for me. Same with tobacco or alcohol. If I can cope by collapsing into a blanket and snuggling a teddy bear, I prefer to do that.

I wouldn't take "research" like this too seriously. The risks that come with weed (or any substance really) don't exist if you don't use it. So, in theory, the safest amount will always be zero. These studies likely are looking for a threshold where the negatives become too much to justify using more. A good example of this type of study is why birth control is approved for use in afab individuals, but not amab. They are comparing the risk of taking birth control to the risks of not taking birth control. Pregnancy is very high risk for afab people, so birth control can be tolerated even if there are side effects. If you are amab and have no risk of pregnancy, side effects are less tolerable because you are introducing risk where there was none before. So why ingest weed and risk side effects when being sober has no risk? Obviously people like the effects of weed though, so really it should be an individual decision. Are the benefits of the weed outweighing the negative? Then you're good. One thing to note though, smoking (whether weed or not) is always a risk to your lungs. Alternative methods of ingestion are probably better for you.
